I got one like that, named Enjoywood (I know, kinda kinky) from Chinese online shop (Banggood). I was surprise at how solidly it was built and how accurate it was. I was so impressed that I sold my more pricey Kreg and kept the Enjoywood, lol.
Got this jig as well and love it, but replaced the clamp with the armor tools clamp. Mounted on plywood and carved out recesses for drill bit, collar etc. and countersunk magnets to hold them in place.
Just discovered your channel a few weeks ago. Great work on this review. I am a veteran Kreg pocket hole jig user. Years ago I scored the Kreg solid aluminium jig ( the K2) and made an offer on it...half its original price(later converted into a twin version with super dust extraction). Since then I have used the single small versions too and the HD large jigs from them. I had the K4 version for a few years and loved it. Then about two years ago a I spun for the M1 version after comparing the latest Kreg and the Armor versions. I can agree with you on many of your comments on the Massca great build and design etc but also agree with the other comments on the tearout (some suggest ensuring you try and drill with the grain), the depth setting guide and lack of easy collar setting. Some other suggestions for general use though: after mounting the jig to a board you can add a right angle cleat so that you can clamp it in your vice or use your bench side extrusions( if you have some) to lock it to, make your own side stands according to your jig height for balancing longer boards, simply use another board between your board and the clamp to both increase the friction to hold it in place (or replace it with the Armor clamp as I did on the K4), you can also simply drill two holes in your mounting board and two matching holes in your bench and simply drop the bolts into place when you need to lock the whole jig. The ultimate anchor system for your mobile mounting jig can be to use two Magswitches to lock it down to a cast iron surface( may give you more room if needed), again these are all just a few things thatI have found help using the jig much more pleasurable and efficient. Thanks again for all these( even the Dad jokes). Also from Oz.
Perhaps someone else has mentioned this, but that dust removal attachment can be mounted to face either to the right (as in this video) or to the left. I’ve had this unit/system for about a year, and love it.
I have owned the M1 for about a year now or close to it. It is very well made and the dust collection is perfect. My two complaints about the product would be 1) the tear-out in plywood is brutal. I even bought a different drill bit hoping that would help and it did but only marginally. 2) I wish that they had made the base a standard thickness so it was easy to build a jig with support pieces on each side. I realize they want to sell their M2 with the support rods but I would much prefer to screw the unit into a jig and because of the thickness of the baseplate I had to mill boards to fit because it was in between standard sizes. Overall it is a very solid product. Thanks for the video Shane.
For the price and as compared to the "blue brand" I bought two. I mounted each of them to their own piece of plywood and mount them to my work bench's T-Track. With two I can setup the distance between them, don't use the support blocks and drill two sets of holes in one go. Shift the panel down and drill the next set. Having consistent offset and repeatability is amazing when building tons of cabinets.
Nice review. I bought the M2 a while ago on a Christmas sale, and the sale price made it a lot less than those overpriced Kreg jigs. I was surprised that it was solid aluminum, which was a great bonus. I'll give them credit for designing it as well as they did. The stabilizer bars were a nice to have. The drill depth guide is VERY easy to lose so I keep it in a box with the accessories.
Great review so much information thanks … I’m just starting woodworking and I was deciding with kreg pocket hole jig and this one . I like this one a lot more .. I just got on sale for 99$
KNACKERS….Awesome video and review as always Uncle, very informative and helpful to us mere mortals, Thank You for taking the time to post, please keep posting…..
I like the stability of the Massca jig, but I end up using the Armor Tool Jig instead. I don't love the extra piece on the Massca uses to measure the drill bit. Meanwhile, the Armor Tool Jig has auto adjustment for the drill bit and the clamp.
G'day Shane, great review. I have a Porter Cable unit I picked up in the States. It is absolutely awesome, but they don't make them anymore. I still find I need the portable Kreg Jig from time to time, particularly when using really long lengths. Keep up the good work.
Were would be the cheapest place to purchase this amazing looking tool. Most places i looked at were between 6 and 7 hundred dollars. Sorry i can not afford that much. Is they anything wrong with kreg. ..??? Thanx Joe. Love the show and the dad jokes.😂😂😂
Enjoyed your video. Great review. I recently received the Mascaa M2 Pocket Hole Jig. I haven't used it yet. I would like to mount on a board like you did. Great idea! What are the dimension of the mounting board? Thanks
Nice one mate looks a cracking piece of kit, obviously not available in the UK yet (i can wish can't i) seriously though it looks 10x better than anything over here including Mr Blue you know who (hey that rhymes, does that mean i get a freebie?) As far as i can make out and i'm more than likely wrong or i didn't hear🦻properly (i'm going for the second option) the only difference between Mark 1 and Mark 2 is the leveling bar whatever it's called and if that's all then i would go for Mark 1 but that's me being a jealous pom. I'm off for a coffee cheers mate Barry (UK) 💂♂👍
im rilly glad i got miny . ok you had it for sometime now what do you rilly think. on here you pick on the clamp. i say pot it on the wood and taking it off to us it that should send at let two more bars so you do not have to take it that far apart and miss up the holes. what a bout you
Do the drill bits cause wear / damage to the drill sleeves you insert them into? I recently reviewed a model of this style (different brand), and the sleeves were being worn away so fast that I retuned the unit.
Hi for all those asking about availability in the U.K. it is sold by Trend as the "Pro pocket hole jig". That's Trend as in the company who make routers etc
It's a good looking jig, Uncle Knackers. I'm with you. The depth guide seems all to easy lose. At least, it would be for a knuckle head like me. I think that Massca should provide an on board storage for it and I think that they should provide a clamp with every jig. We're celebrating the fourth of July here in the states. I'll devour an extra grilled hot dog in your honor today, OK? Thanks for the video.
Thanks P.T! I think Massca does have a product for storing all the components safely on a board that you screw the jig to 👍 Enjoy the Fourth of July mate 👍😁🇦🇺
Great Review Knackers, you’ve got this pocket hole jig stuff under control mate. This looks a great jig & I agree with you that the auto clamp adjustment will make it load’s better & maybe increasing the stock size opening to 50mm would be grouse. Cheers cobber 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🍻🍻🍻🍻👍

They already know everything. 🙄 The booklets are probably added in the box in case some dang female might want to learn something. 🤪 Thank you for the review, Shane! I think the thingamajig is really nice!! 😂 And I liked the Dad joke, too. 😅 😊
This is an amazing looking tool. It's hard to get one of the middle of the road jigs though. While it saves a little time its not enough to justify 4 or 5 times the cost of a basic jig. I have a crappy basic jig that works great. If I were to try and get a fancy one, for saving time, I think I'd go for the big boy and get a kreg foreman. I've seen them used for 150-200 a few times.
Imperial weight? Oz Land going back to imperial weight giving up on the metric? :) I like the various mounting areas for the device and the bit setting wheel. That ability to take it apart to use the drill portion where it might be needed on something already built (it happens!), is the cat's meow. Anyway. it looks like Massca out Kreg, Kreg! About time. If I get really back into furniture making, I will try and pick one of these up. Thanks Shane. PS - I just went to their web site. Egads for the price, it is cheaper than the Kreg, as buying the lot of Kreg bundle cost me more than the similar bundle of the Massca M2 Pro. Made of Aluminum, instead of plastic (I already dropped and broke one Kreg system, on my second), I am in. -ab

@diyforknuckleheads Yeah true that. But Amazon is still trying to setup shop down here. It might be a couple of years before they are up and running, given the ongoing land dispute with some ethnic group/s where they've built their factory. Ordering online will make me bleed through my nose, like the centre channel speaker I ordered that took over 30 days to get to me. But will wait and see.
Great review mate, Looks a quality bit of kit. Personally the only thing i don't like about it is the clamp being on the opposite side of the work piece making it hard to reach when clamping longer and wider boards.
