I searched several key words with Falken, Wildpeak, Aero Wheels, and 255 55 18 but nothing. Ended up going through my comment notifications from the last comment. I've run this exact set up the last 2 record breaking winters in Utah, skiing ~3 days a week (55 days a season on average). Never had an issue getting to Snowbird, Alta, Deer Valley. Incredible traction in icy parking lots and full on blizzards.
I have a 23 MY LR and got the 18s. I love the look. It’s subtle to most people but to those into cars or tires they compliment it. It gives it a different look. Kinda like the Subarus. Only thing is it has affected my range. He said he lost about 9%. I feel more like 15-20% loss. I’ve already put 6k miles so 1 tire rotation.
Many might've missed, but finding the perfect tire for an 18" wheel is really difficult. This is the closest tire with 730 revolutions per mile as compared to OEM Gemini setup with 741 revs per mile. This also has amazing UTQG figures, making almost (wish it had some noise reduction foam) perfect tires for Model Y owners downsizing to 18" wheel.
Speedindex doesn't count in US i guess. Here in the netherlands this is not allowed. It's not how fast you drive but how fast the car can go. Only option i could find in 255/55 r18 with speedindex V (240 km/h) are the Continental Crosscontact atr. No options for performance, then you'll have to go to 20 inch for a/t tires. Like the setup and the looks of the Wildpeak a/t. Unfortunately my only option seems to be the Conti's.
I'm curious about the exact same tire/car. Different wheel size and different tire size. The combo I'm looking for is 18x8 aftermarket wheel and 235/60/18 wildpeak AT trail. Real curious about that specific setup. Might be able to overcome some of the weight issues with smaller wheels, smaller tire OD. More comfort with that bigger sidewall..... Will it fit?
No it will not bcuz 255/45/21 will give you a 30' in. diameter (tire height) w/c above the threshold of 9.5" in. But the Gemini wheels 19x9.5 will fit 255/50R19 tires also applies to 18x18.5 wheels will fit 255/55R18 w/ the same diameter of 9.4-9.5 in. max allowed.
Will 2022 model Y wheels fit in 2023 model Y ?. The tire size on the 2023 model Y shows as 255/45R19 and 2022 Model Y shows as 255/50R19. It is confusing.
Confirmed, these will fit on the new model y performance without any modifications. I’ll make a video or write up after some miles. First impressions with the wild peaks are fantastic. Smoother and some how more quiet than stock 21s.
@@mrgbalian what do you mean, “what size”? I’ve got about 3k miles on them now. The car is for sure much more “floaty” with these wheels as compared to the Uberturbines. I still really like the ride and noise level of the Falkens. Surprises me and everyone that rides with me that these tires are this quiet for how aggressive they look. I do get a slight “abs” shutter feeling with these wheels/tires on the model y. Not really sure what it is, I’m still investigating.
Not sure why, but this video is super hard to find. Probably why the view count is so low…deserves more.
Interesting observation, and worth investigating. How'd you eventually find it?

@@Magooblium appreciate the insight, and will see what we can do to make this video more searchable. Thank you for choosing Falken!
Looks awesome! Would love to see more footage of the Tesla in the snow.
Thanks for giving the video a watch. We'll keep that suggestion in mind!
Awesome. I'm gonna set up that 255 / 50 / 19 all season tires on my 19" Gemini wheels after my 40 sidewall goes bad
let me know how this goes, i’m switching to gemini wheels for more side wall and I want to go up a size from 255/45/19
looks great, good to know 29.5" tires can fit.

I'd love to see if we can get some 33" Falken AT4Ws to fit on my lifted Tesla Model Y Performance...

Would love to see all terrain tires on 19” gemini wheels.

great video. Do you have a link to the Model Y driving in Michigan video referenced ?
We will have it soon
Great video, thinking of Falken Aklimate on my model y.

Does anyone know if i can fit 255 / 45 / 21 on my model Y? I know 255/40/21 will fit with no issues but id like that 45 sidewall. Lmk please

I own 2022 MY LR has 255/45/19 tires (19x9.5 wheels) is standard and I replaced w/ 255/50/19 Falken Wildpeak AT Trail tires.
Looks good
Looks so much better with more rubber. What’s with this trend of tires that look like rubber bands
Is that clearance issue confirmed for the MYP?
no you mightt have less clearance
Looks like the new MYP has smaller fake multi-piston brakes in the back. I’m gonna try it. Will report back.
