I was listening to this and my 9 year old daughter walked into my office and sat with me. After it was over, she looked at me, with the most beautiful smile and said, I love you like Jesus does. I actually cried with overwhelming joy. Ill never forget that moment as long as I live!

My son picked this song for our mother son dance at his wedding. I was in tears when I heard the lyrics, I was so blessed how strongly about my love for. To me there is nothing on this earth that can come close of Jesus unconditional love for us all, however the closest you can get is the mother's LOVE for their child. My husband sings this song sinced he came back from Iraq. He said despite him having ptsd, I love him with my all. I always will.
That's one of the reasons my late husband and I loved this song. Neither one of us were in the military, but we both had PTSD. It takes a strong person to love a person with PTSD and to stay with them through it all. :)

Doesn't matter if you're a Christian, this song speaks to me and I'm Catholic/Roman Catholic. It's a fantastic song. I can relate to this song my good friend loves this song and he tells me it reminds him is us.
this song is as much about love as it is about faith. im not religous but i still love this song. this song is about unconditional love and if you understand what that is then youll have a better understanding of this song.
All he means by that 'she loves me like Jesus does' is that she loves him unconditionally... like Jesus does. Not saying that her love is greater than Jesus's or that she is equal to Jesus. But only that her love for him will never falter, disappear, or disapprove by any means over anything he is or isn't, does or doesn't do... paralleling Jesus' love for him as well.

Lol kills me when people say they "don't believe in Jesus". At what point has it not been proven to you that Jesus was a real person that worked miracles? There's historians everywhere that know for a fact that he walked the earth. Whether you believe that he is the Son of God is your own issue. But even the demons believe.

We lost mama last month and this song exactly expresses her love for us. I've listened to it about a hundred times. Sent it to my sibliblings. In a time of my deepest grief, it's brought me some relief. Mama loved your music. We played it on many road trips we took. Thank you for expressing the love we have for each other and the love of music we share. God willing we will see each other again!

He left a lasting impression on everyone there. Been buying a physical copy of his album releases ever since. That’s why he is where he is today. I abslolutly love this song. It is very controversial however. If one is a Christian, one knows that no one can compare to the love of the savior. Some see this as making our Diety as a lesser being. However, knowing Eric's background, he loves the lord, and doesnt mean anything wrong of this song.

Listened to this for so many years, trying to keep faith in my husband. After 24+ years together I filed for divorce in September. Not what I wanted, I chose us, he didn't hopefully an eye opener and we can reconcile.💔

Its a free gift which means that neither works of the law nor good deeds or charity will get us into Heaven. As Christians we should still participate in charity and do good deeds if we can. We should still try to follow the ten commandments because it is pleasing to GOD. But we must know that faith in the work of Christ is sufficient! If we think that we MUST follow the ten commandments or do good deeds, we are denying the sufficiency of the cross and therefore denying the one true Gospel!

Both in this life and in the life to come. Heaven awaits those who trust in Jesus. Those that don't trust Him will get the judgement and hell that awaits all sinful mankind. Believe and be free, friends, in Jesus for salvation from your sins!

I was told by a very special person of mine that I reminded him of the "girl" in this song. The minute i heard it my eyes started watering up because this song encompass our relationship right now. He told me some really hard news that he thought would damage or friendship, so bad to the point i wouldn't talk to him and cut him off. The news startled me but I felt closer connected to him even more now. I will say I love him!!!!!!! Hopefully I can say this to him...before he reads this comment. hahahahahaha

Its a great song. Lots of people take the love of the relationship he has with this woman and realize how lucky they are to have it. I take from it how lucky I am to have Jesus in my life. Then the trainer played it for her. Your music picked her up and made her feel loved even in the midst of chaos. She had to walk several miles to get her computer due to being unable to drive there. My bestfriend introduced me to Eric Church years ago when I was about 15 lol. I remember how much he loved his music and now when I feel lonely for my bestfriend as we now live in different states I love to go through Eric Church songs. Despite it not being romantic love.. I love him like Jesus does because he has been through hell and back with me.
