  • Join us on our September Garden Tour part 1, while we still have many beautiful blossoms gracing our gardens. We hope you enjoyed our last aerial video of our gardens and now enjoy them from ground level. It’s always interesting to view many plants and trees during different seasons to see how they have progressed and grown. We’ve been blessed with a prolific harvest of vegetables and fruits this year, especially our apple and peach and pear crop, large tomatoes, TomatoBerries, carrots, Dinosaur Kale, Delacata Squash, Spaghetti Squash and Zucchini, and much more. Enjoy watching this September walkabout as we explore our Wisconsin Garden.
If you havent’ seen our Wisconsin Garden Video Blog #1053 - Aerial View Of Our Garden you may want to watch that one first.
For those viewers new to our channel, we’ve recently published a 24-page Garden Video Blog Directory eBook listing over 1,000 of our garden videos each arranged by topic of interest from A-Z. If you’d like your free copy, please add the letters A-Z in the subject line of your email and send it to lynn@WisconsinGarden.com.

Thank you Lynn and Rick for the awesome tour. From experience I know that you having your flowers beds viewed from both sides is a lot more work and upkeep. Great job, well done. Your property is stunning and Brookfield should consider themselves very fortunate to have you both as residents. I am sure that you are inspiring many neighbors to garden. Take care, stay healthy, safe and happy.

Hello Lark. Great to hear from you again. Here's hoping all is going well. Not sure most of Brookfield knows that we even exist. Many driving by stop and are pleasantly surprised and even overwhelmed when they take a tour. They didn't know what all exists on our little half-acre gardens. We think of you and your gardens often and hope our paths cross soon.

Everything is looking so lush in your garden. The aerial view shows how organized your garden is and we don't always realize that when watching your videos on the ground. I do love your paver pathway from the sky, it is really a nice touch.

Good morning Deanna. Go Dahlias! Once you grow one, your collection will expand. They are tender bulbs for us here in Wisconsin and have to be dug up and stored over winter. I'm sure we will be doing another video shortly after the first hard frost. Keep your camera ready daily. Thank you again for watching, caring and sharing. Good morning Suzanne. Hard to believe but two of our giant hardy Hibiscus had huge blossoms yesterday. I think they may be our last until next year. But many more are still blooming as the temps hit the 40's last night. Time to bring out some blankets. Thank you for your kind comments again and for your continued watching, caring and sharing. Good morning Carolyn. I've found plants can be additive along with bushes and trees. We just can't help ourselves. Richard always said that after the essentials of God, Love, Family & Friends, people need 3 basics thing in their lives. 1. They need a safe place to live 2. They need a passionate purpose (job, career, etc.). 3. They need a place to rest & reflect (vacation paradise). He keeps buying me more plants, bushes and trees, so we decided to do all of them right here, 44-years and counting. Always create your own paradise. Thank you again for watching, caring and sharing. The unknown grass looks like a Karl Forester grass. I have one in my garden. That yellow dahlia is gorgeous. You still have lots of color in your garden for this time of year. Thanks for the tour Looking forward to part 2. Bonny zone 5b.

Good morning Rich. Yes, that ID triggers my memory but it could be a different variety. Our neighbor across the street grows Karl Forester grass on his corner. Thank you for the ID. The yellow dahlia I believe is a 'Yellow Star' as was a new addition to our collection this year. It's such a delight to pass them every day. I often stop a take a lot of photos. I did enjoy the drone view. Yes, those steps on the lawn look perfectly lined. It's the end of summer for you and the garden continues to look amazing. Oh, I love what you have growing in your yard from the trees, shrubs, and flowers. Need to invite Monty Don to do a show in your garden LOL. Much love to you both :)

As a kid I too was intrigued by the canna seeds. We had a lot of cannas. I have to get a root cellar as I want to grow them again.

We too end up housing hundreds of tender bulbs and tubers in our basement and every other week check on their progress to eliminate any that could damage others. TKS Lynn & Richard

@@WisconsinGarden we never checked them. Dad had large heavy duty cardboard tubes from work with lids. We dug the tubers, knocked off the sandy soil, let them dry a bit and chucked them in the tubes til spring. We heated with wood and coal and the basement was dry and not overly warm, but not real cool either. We grew most inside large tractor tires in groups. They were impressive. Memories 🙏
