I absolutely LOVE this video!!! I don’t spend much time watching videos, but when I do, it’s content like this!!! 🙌👏👏👏👏
Yooo deer meat I love your vids
haha love to hear it rob! appreciate you tuning in sir! 🙏
yes sir
because of Bluegabe diving into that water after the iguana i found your channel and
and Uncle Dibbs
We need a fishing trip with you guys
We 1000% want a raw footage channel lol. Stuff like that is what makes you appreciate this the most!
haha love to hear it!
Most definitely would like raw footage, now we’re all just waiting for it
Please! Lol need more videos give us all the content even the misses ! I need to learn from the best
Let it roll!!
💯
Since I'm pushing 70 I know there are things I can't do, so I appreciate and enjoy vicariously going on these adventures with you. 🤙💙
love to hear you enjoy them! 🙏
You can do ANYTHING , if you put your mind to it
Big yes on the raw footage. I think everyone will agree that we learn a lot from your experience.
love to hear it!
Best part of my mondays!! Escaping to paradise. I love your videos. My wife and I can’t wait to visit the keys sometime soon!
love to hear it! thanks for coming along!
I guess the other boat ran out of water in the Atlantic Ocean that they had to come so close to you Aaron! Another great video my friend. Stay safe.
haha right
The way you harvest your Wahoo reminds me of a deer hunter stalking a 10 point Buck''
haha
Yes raw footage.
You can do them similar to DeerMeatForDinner channel...when he cleans deer, gator,, or hog he basically just adds the raw footage as a 2nd link for us to choose within his description area. Then for those of us who want to see it can individually choose.
And you don't have to worry about RUclips blocking your video due to blood & guts.
By the way AWESOME channel, GREAT content.
ah thats a good idea!
Yes to the sub station idea! After a day like that it’s best to end it around the table on the Orca with Quint, Hooper & Brody tossing back a 🍺 while breaking it down with a little “show me the way to go home, I’m tired and I want to go to bed” 5⭐️👍🏻
haha at least someone got it! was worth the corny title 😂
thanks bud...i am danish but lived on my sailboat in the keys for 12 years...now i am so fxxxing old...but your channel truly make me smile thinking about the old days ...and the great folks i got to love and fish with in the keys....ever tried catching jew fish with the anchor rope...we did not know better
haha glad you enjoy them!
the segments where you point out the wildlife highlights are always beautiful to see and very interesting
glad you enjoy them! always a treat for me
great channel i grew up in the middle keys moved in the mid 80s best life experience ever so many memories
glad you enjoy it!
More key west waterman content ? sign me in ! Do you plan on adding your voice over those raw footage ? your commentary add a ton of value
haha love to hear it, and idk probably not as they would all be extremely long videos, that would be super time consuming.
Hey my friend, I can't get enough of this channel, more footage is always welcome. Keep up the good work and have a blessed day.
love to hear it! thanks so much!
Fan drifts in closer to say hello. Key West Waterman gives him a reality check.
lol
Thanks for letting us tag along, definitely would watch hours, hours of your videos 👍👍😎
haha love to hear it!
Wow, you know what you are doing. Makes a big difference. I am surprised that those sharks aren’t making passes at the speared and wounded fish. Love your channel.
lots of practice! and depends on the day, I seem to get lucky with the sharks. almost never have wahoo eaten
I really liked the video. Honestly it seems easier to anchor the boat and hunt the incomers and the downright curious fish. Great experience talking when you went between the anchor line and the boat. These fish are capable of getting wrapped up in anything that is in the water. It's always nice to see the fruit's of our labor and enjoy doing the things you do to make it happen. Not sure if you take many requests for the channel but I'd enjoy some of the wreck diving for lobster, crabs and fish. Maybe exploring some other areas up the Keys. Lots of fun seeing the difference species of fish and identify them with us. Thanks for the great content and best wishes to the young lady you were teaching/ mentoring. As always stay safe!
got lucky there for sure! and always appreciate feedback, I will add it to the list!
Just shows how experienced you are, making it look so easy! When it’s definitely not. Appreciate all the videos! Keep up great work😎
glad you enjoy them 🙏
That looked like a blast! It may be worth mentioning to new boaters that for the escape plan, don’t pull the anchor all the way up from the bottom. Have a buoy tied to the anchor line so you can quickly untie from the cleat and leave. The anchor, line, and buoy will remain in place. Nobody got the “Jaws” reference?
it was! and baby steps, lol don't want to confused everyone. we use that method as well. and very few did haha glad someone did!
Absolutely raw footage! Hours and hours, so sublime!
haha thanks for the feedback!
Me and my mom would absolutely love to watch long form footage from you! If you make that uncut channel we would greatly appreciate the content and insight from watching the moment to moment decisions you make to try and learn some more, if you decide not to that's also ok but it's definitely a yes from us
love to hear it I will try to get it going!
I love all of your videos. You own slice of heaven! Conservative way you do things is awesome. We are headed to Key Largo in June to glimpse of that beautiful water!!!
really love to hear that! thanks for tuning in! 🙏
Longer videos? YES! Puleeeese!
haha thanks for the feedback
Wow, 5 hours.. That is a full day of hard work in the water.
flew by!
Mr Aron, as Conch I am grateful for men like you who Love and respect my Home town!! And teach others how to live and work and succeed so there is something left for the generations to come. Thank you.
its truly a magical place! really appreciate the kind words and glad you enjoy the videos! 🙏
Very cool, kept me interested right thru. It's interesting how the use of flashers of all kinds get used for different kinds of fishing. I use many when trolling for salmon. Keep sticking em !
love to hear it! and thats cool didnt know yall did that.
Uncutt, why not. I like the footage and think alot of others would as well. Keep on keepin on...
thanks for the feedback!
Another classic video. It seems that no matter where you go, there's always that one boat that is too close, it looked as if he was there most of your dive. I would imagine you cutting floor video is better than ninety percent of others first cut, more the better, I vote for more.
haha right! and thanks for the feedback I will try to get it going!
I watch plenty of videos in the 45+ minute range on other channels (but, I'm retired). You do such a great job editing and keeping it real, I don't think you need a sub-channel with the raw footage.
really love to hear that! thanks for the feedback! 🙏
What makes these videos fun it’s you and Madeleyne but sure, I’ll watch raw scenes ☀️
appreciate the feedback!
Keep them coming Aaron! Always a pleasure and a learning adventure! Thanks for taking us along!
🙏
Always appreciate you taking us along. Spectacular sights as usual, but those manta rays were something else!
was wild to see!
Yes would like to raw footage. I love watching all your videos I am 78 years old be 79 in September i still very active in diving I have a 24ft Sea Ray in Cape Coral Florida. Butt i mainly live in Georgia i am big in deer hunting.
really love to hear it! thanks for tuning in! 🙏
I would absolutely love another channel from you. Especially the raw footage. But please do the narration that’s the best part.
really love to hear you enjoy it! on the raw channel I doubt I'd do the narratives, I guess I'd have to see, its just ALOT of footage to cover. would continue to do narratives on here.
So we anchor 99% of the time and we have the anchor set up so we can drop it. We attach a boat bumper to it. If a fish runs we ca quickly drop the anchor chase the fish come back and grab the anchor and re attach. Saves a ton of time both ways.
yup, we do that as we'll. if I tried to explain that without showing it I would have confused everyone all to hell. lol
I LOVE the commercial stuff!!! I’d love a in depth gear breakdown on what is needed for recreational spearing
I've done some in the past, probably need to make a dedicated video for it!
Perhaps a Minnkota bowmount deployed in spot lock would eliminate the anchor rope. Saltwater versions are available, and with 72” shaft, will keep the prop in the water. The digital Bluetooth GPS-operated spot lock function is amazing. Very reliable, easy to use, well engineered and built. Good luck.
Wish i had that kind of money laying around! They are pricey from what i hear. And a spinning prop is the last thing you want with float lines shooting around.
That big Black was fully aware that he was out of season, lol. Always seems that way 😉
haha right
Just seeing this video for the first time. I really like your narration. It helps me understand your life.
Glad it was helpful!
Awesome video the female didn't catch anything but she was awesome too at least she tried that's what counts blessed
she will be back!
Would love to spear a wahoo sometime. I'm hoping to get more into spearfishing this year. There is so much to learn. Love the vast knowledge your videos offer.
really love to hear it!
Absolutely Amazing what you do 👏🏽you make it look so easy but I know it’s not I can’t wait for the uncut footage definitely will be watching for it have a great day
love to hear it! thanks so much for tuning in!
Like everyone else brother I would love to see an uncut channel. I'm starting to fish out of Miami out of the coconut Grove area and Biscayne bay. Truly enjoy watching, learning and the sheer relaxing nature of your videos. Your hard work is truly appreciated thank you.
love to hear it! thanks for tuning in 🙏
Yes please, a some long form stuff would be great. I work on a boat over night and watch your videos all the time and would welcome a nice video of length for these long nights lol
haha I will get it goin!
Four in one day just superb. Saw a manta years ago in 15 feet of water while we were are on a lobster crawl chase after a storm thing was huge and just so graceful.
was a lovely day! its always a treat
WoW WOOHOO I'm a real footage kind of guy... And this was the best video I've seen yet... You are now the
"KEY WEST FISH WHISPERER"...LoL
TNX 4 VID
haha glad you enjoyed it!
Would love the raw channel! Saw a manta ray once in the Boyton inlet years ago visiting my grandparents.. one of the coolest things I’ve probably ever seen. Great video as always
appreciate the feedback!
Another awesome vid my friend! Those were mobula rays, not manta rays at 11:44
thats what im hearing! check it off the list never seen them before
This was a great video. I like this edited version so I have the time to watch the whole clip. Beautiful water too. Tight lines
thanks for the feedback!
11:50 .. that was such an incredible sight to see! I couldn’t imagine how awesome that would have been in person. Uncut videos would be awesome ! It seems these videos never last long enough !😂 I would gladly spend hours with your videos playing while I listen in and live vicariously through you! Keep up the awesome content !
it really was lovely! and thanks for the feedback! 😂
Love this type of video!!! Totally down for the unedited version. Very calming to watch you go after those Wahoo!!
love to hear it! thanks so much!
Great episode! I really love your blue water spearfishing videos. They bring back so many memories for me. It is hard to go spearfishing when I am landlocked in Minnesota.
really love to hear it!
awesome video as always. it would be cool to see more video of you interacting with the buyer and seeing how that all works if possible.
will try to cover it! thanks for watching
We definitely need the uncut channel man!
haha love to hear it!
Nice catch! Madeline has a great teacher for spearfishing. She will get one soon.
thanks for watching!
@2:40 Those guys must think this is Lake Michigan or something.
They have no idea people are out here trying to make a living.
Great shot on that fish.
lol drives me crazy!
"You're Gonna Need A Bigger Boat." - JAWS 🦈🦈🦈
haha
I don't think you need a sub channel, just post a bonus "uncut" video once in a while. I don't think the algorithm will hate you for it and those that want to will watch. Great episode, enjoyed very much.
yea may not be a bad idea, appreciate the feedback!
We'd LOVE to see raw footage videos. Your content is awesome. When a video ends sometimes I find I'm wanting more. I'd say bring on the raw footage. That'd be great. Keep doing what you're doing, we're watching!!!
love to hear it! thanks so much!
When I first started fishing in the Gulf quite often a dive boat would anchor on the same [public] wreck. We would pick up and find another spot. There was no point in staying because they would be right under the boat. They weren't free diving. I always thought that was inconsiderate.
yea its a different ballgame if its a small spot and a fisherman is there first. thats just common courtesy.
Love the channel! Another one with raw footage would be great! If u ever would want a apprentice let me know! I really need help learning the ins and outs of fishing in the Keys. 🤙🏻
love to hear it! and I appreciate it, all good currently
Absolutely Aaron. 150% yes on an uncut footage channel.
love to hear it!
Are you the future spear fishing instructor? You have so much knowledge, a great cadence in talking in how you review what you saw. Boat captain aside, I think you do instructional video really well.
really appreciate the kind words! 🙏 considered doing spearfishing classes, but trying to set a course that covers everything is very difficult. love to hear the videos help people!
been watching for along time, really enjoy all that you share!! if you ever did a video on how you organize your boat that would be cool, I'm sure there are some people (me) that would get some good ideas on how to keep things stream lined on the boat when the diving gets going. cheers from norther California
I will try to cover it some time! love to hear you enjoy the vids thanks so much! 🙏
Yeah, that sounds good because the parts that would be removed are the best for learning how to prepare fish, its educational .
thanks for the feedback!
Monday evening and time for the Key West Waterman! Love the footage. I hope to one day get down there and fish with you.
haha thanks for tuning in!
dibs is the fish whisperer he lures them onto the kitchen table for ya
haha
Cool video as always... VERY Cool shot of the Manta Rays !! Thanks for sharing ! Cheers !
glad you enjoyed it!
Yh I’d watch the uncut. In my days I was a big spear fisherman. So it’s fun to reenact whole hunt.
love to hear it!
One of the best in the west, Aron Young!
haha thanks for watching!
I like the raw footage I enjoyed watching you guys God bless take care of your self
thanks for the feedback!
Awesome, we love the blue water videos
love to hear it!
Really enjoyed this video. Man what a nice mess of wahoos. I think many boaters (vs Captains) have no idea of what the buffer zone is for a dive flag. A sailfish could cover 300 feet in about 5 seconds. I think I might have a bad dream about getting tangled in braid!! 😲
glad you enjoyed it! and yea it doesn't take long.
Great idea on the Raw footage. Not many know what crazy things happen on the water. Mount a few cameras on the T-top, console, and transome area to catch it all. I appreciate your stuff! Still think you and Deer-M-F-Din need a trip planned :-)
really love to hear it! and maybe one day! haha
Had to watch your video just before bed tonight. 😂
But yet another awesome video.
Moose in alaska do the same thing as that grouper.
Out of season a big ole high end 50” will just slowly cross your path and give ya the ole dueces and just mosey along singing to himself. 😂😂
haha that is too funny I believe it! thanks for tuning in 🙏
Thanks for sharing your videos Aaron 👍
happy to!
Would love to support any channel you start! Raw footage sounds awesome!!!
🙏
Awesome video!!! Love your content. Do you ever clean wahoo that have eaten yellowtails? Up north every now and then they catch them with beeliners in their stomachs.
I've never had one that has, normally its a bonita in their belly
great wahoo video, you are legit undwerwater assassin! love the jaws reference.
glad you enjoyed it! and glad someone got it! haha
Another relaxing good video. It's amazing how much I learn from you spearfishing.
love to hear that! thanks for tuning in
What a great day at anchor! I'd be into longer versions of your videos.
it was a lovely day! thanks for the feedback!
Great video Dibs! Love whatever you do. Love the catching. Lots of video that’s always worth watching. Thank you!
thanks so much! 🙏
Raw footage channel would be cool. Thanks for the consistency with the uploads, makes Mondays a whole lot better
thanks for the feedback! 🙏
You make it look to easy man! Great stuff. You should be called the Key West assassin. 🙌🏼
haha
Love the show. I’m learning a lot.
Can you teach us about your throw flasher/ rattle? Where do you get them, do you have different ones for different conditions? Etc. thanks!
love to hear it! and they are just pvc and mirror vinyl. I make them myself.
@@KeyWestWaterman They appear to sink.. Do you loose many or they easy enough to prioritize/keep track of?
@@KeyWestWaterman Very cool of you to respond. Thanks!!
Ehjoyed your video Aaron. As usual. Love your explanations. We would love to see all your uncut videos. We vote yes for more videos. On our way to Hogfish bar right now. Should be there around noon. If your around stop by. We owe you a beer.
thanks so much! 🙏 I was in fort Lauderdale yesterday just got home!
Another great video, Aaron 👏🏻👏🏻 So glad those predators 🦈 swam away! I would watch anything you put out for content so, raw footage it is! How far away should that other boat have been; did they respond to you?
glad you enjoyed it! and love to hear it! they need to be at least 300 ft away with my dive flag being up and nope they just kept drifting by
Thanks Brada!
🙏
Sweet Day for you! Congrats...Thanks for sharing.
thanks for coming along!
@@KeyWestWaterman 4 Wahoo for the day, pretty awesome! I noticed that you only sold 3...Good for you...Enjoy the 4th fish as you should.
Give us da rawest of raw brother!!! Bring it on! I’m with you all da way cuz I been there bro!👍
haha I appreciate it!
Such an entertaining video to watch! You make it look to easy and fun (don't worry I know better and appreciate the hard work and knowledge that must have gone into it!). Truly, thanks for sharing! Hopet the lady gets her first and on film! :)
haha glad you enjoyed it 🙏
Man Aaron, your videos are like a breath of fresh air, keep it up, bro
thanks so much 🙏
That is cool. We saw several schools of Manta Rays Satuday at Skyway Pier.
wish we saw more!
great video! I was going to suggest exactly that idea of a raw footage postings.
haha love to hear it!
I like how a diver puts up a flag and then they own the ocean. I have been on a spot many a time anchored and up pulls a diver, up with the flags less than 100' from me and expects me to leave.
that's great but thats irrelevant to what happened here lol. I can't speak for those divers, as I am not them. I was on anchor and this fishing boat came up to me after being anchored for an hour. should probably talk with the divers doing this to you.
Great addition!! Love Mondays!
haha thanks for tuning in!
Speaking of boats close to dive flags, i swim out 3/4-1 mile off the beach to spearfish in Ft. Lauderdale area and I have a bright yellow body board with a big dive flag and i constantly have boats come full speed 50ft from my dive float and some less than 20ft. It’s insane how clueless some boaters are. I never though I would be more worried about boaters than sharks when I started this sport.
yea it really sucks. theres very little education required to drive a boat. it blows my mind.
Hey bud, everything OK? I haven’t seen a post a Videos just making sure you guys are OK. Love you guys.
been posting videos every Monday, haven't stopped! this one is the newest from last Monday.
Way cool....Above freezing here today....getting ready to tap maple trees for sap to make syrup....no where near as exciting and fun as your day..... Lime.
haha love it! stay warm!
