Currently eating pumpkin soup, with plantains, sweet potatoes, carrots and edoes in it. Seasoned with Geera, little Paprika, slight Masala, Red Pepper flakes and a bit of salt. :)
Not doing black pepper on the skin is smart, it gets bitter when you burn while searing. Farideh is amazing, love her personality and the techniques are always spot on and logical, in a fun random sort of way.
I tried this last night for dinner night with friends and it came out wonderfully! For the sauce, I used all cilantro (threw the whole bunch in there because who goes to the store and can buy 3tbsp?) and substituted crushed walnuts for the almonds and it was AMAZING. I'm trying to catch up on past vids, especially sea food. So young lady I'm not sure you're checking these comments but what the hell. Next year ( 2021 , fall ) I would like to take you and a guest ( your father would be a great suggestion) out salmon fishing here in the " Great Pacific Northwest ", Washington state to be exact. Do a video for Munchies of actually seeing how to catch and cook salmon. Hopefully we will have a better handle on covid,you get some quality time with your dad or whoever you choose as a guest. And you get out of NY city for a few days and enjoy the wonders of Washington state. And to add a little bit more fun, I have a jet boat and all the gear you need. And if that's not enough temptation, I typically have about 14 different rums and 14 different whiskeys on my bar. Yup mass Sicilys. There's a year to consider this. It would be a great video and I won't be hitting on you like most guys ,heck I'm to old for a young lady like your self. But damm it would be fun and it would be great to meet your dad. Only thing that I went "HUH?" about was after she held the raw salmon down in the pan for a minute it looked like she got a couple of pinches of salt to add to it with her fishy fingers. Wouldn't that kind of be a bad idea to be digging in the salt bowl with your fingers right after you'd handled raw fish? Maybe it was just the editing of the video that made it look like that.
