We’ve heard from several people that going to Dublin was only good if you’re planning to pass through it to go see the rest of the country. There’s nothing to do there, apparently. We’ll have to agree to disagree. Even though it wasn’t what we expected, we enjoyed it so much, we could have stayed. The streets are easy to walk around. The food is delicious. People are friendly. They have two popular adult beverage distributors. But the biggest reason we found that made us want to stay is the history and tradition. This is a proud country with a long history of self-preservation stemming from the attitude of, “If you leave me alone, I’ll leave you alone.”

The Guinness tour is much the same as the Jameson one but you missed out on a free pint of Guinness. Listening to the Irish bands in the bars in the evening is a great experience.
