    I will never buy VA again, got it once and the blur was driving me insane. I play a lot of fps games. My fault that I didn't do my research more thoroughly, I only heard the image quality was good and that was truth. But as soon as objects began to move it was baaaad...

      I know I'm over a month late, but I had the exact same issue with the new VA screen I just bought. I spend hours just figuring out what was wrong with the image. Turns out that's how VA panels work. About to return it, if I still can. So did you end up with IPS or OLED

    I regret having a TN panel as text in videos is blurry and unclear...only plus is the fast refresh rate, which is supposedly good for gaming...other than that it looks pretty horrible with video too as i can see vertical banding with fast moving videos.

    i usually do casual web browsing, and casual gaming. Is TN good enough? For example, I'm looking at the 34" Samsung Odyssey G5 3440x1440 165Hz Curved Ultrawide Monitor

    • @germangarcia222
      @germangarcia222 11 месяцев назад

      I honestly can’t tell the difference between them all man. There’s to many pros and cones to any monitor, it’s really just confusing. That resolution seems like you need run a pretty good system if you want to achieve that resolution in any game even for a causal session. There’s the asus rog but the Samsung is good, 1ms response time and 165hz seems very achievable with a 2080 and above

      Yeah it definitely is good enough. But I dont really see the point of TN in 2023 unless you're an ultra competitive gamer. I still use my TN which was supposedly one of the best (at least in 2019) and I remember the first day I used it I noticed the colors were really washed compared to my old office LCD that was probably from 2010. You get used to it but imo TN is a waste of money and I'm waiting for my samsung g6 to arrive so i can finally get rid of it.

      high refresh rates low response times, often under 1 milliseconds and the fastest refresh rate panel (540hz) is a tn panel, if you're getting that much of an edge compared to other panels then people could overlook the shortcomings when playing competitively

      @imjustvibinboi2406 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@congheleechconghelach9860 sure, past 240hz is diminishing returns as the gains are so small that they shouldnt matter, the input delay is reduced each time you increase your fps, and combined with the response time of under 1ms response time makes it great for competitive gaming, TN panels are also incredibly cheap while offering high refresh rates so its great for ultra budget gaming.
      TLDR: higher fps = lower input delay (you can most definitely notice it)

    MOST VA panels have shit contrast ratios. Often worse than the low end IPS panels. They CAN have great contrast, but its nowhere near even low end OLED panels. IPS is really the safe bet if you don't know exactly what you are looking for.
