Thank you Charles happy you liked it. I am very happy with the Laguna. There was a problem with the banjo not locking in place but I figure it out. They had put a finish on it that would not it to lock in place. They sent me another right away but I had figured it out and all I did was to sand the shaft lightly. I sent the replacement back and explained the problem and I believe that has been resolved. I find Laguna support to be good as I have one of their dust collectors as well. So I think it is a fine lathe and has a great price for what you get. Hope this helps. Gary

Thank you Matt it is really a very lovely wood for sure. In the eastern part of Oregon where I live they use it for fence post on the ranches because it is so hard and abundant.

Check this one out I did Matt. I did not notice it till my wife pointed out the base of the goblet looks like glass. Now it is all I can see. Another piece of Black Locust.

Cool idea nice finish I really enjoy watching your videos. If I could ask some advice I'm getting ready to buy a new lathe have you ever had any trouble with your Laguna?

I am very happy with the Laguna. There was a problem with the banjo not locking in place but I figure it out. They had put a finish on it that would not it to lock in place. They sent me another right away but I had figured it out and all I did was to sand the shaft lightly. I sent the replacement back and explained the problem and I believe that has been resolved.
I find Laguna support to be good as I have one of their dust collectors as well.
So I think it is a fine lathe and has a great price for what you get.

Thank you. This branch read 10% on my meter. I got it from under my pole shed so that is pretty dry for this time of year

Thanks Chris and yes I do use some of the Benjamin Best tools and they actually work fine. My others are Robert Sorby.
They both cut fine if sharp.
