Thanks for your video, I am glad I watched it after I activated my cameras. 1. I did my activation as close to my wifi as possible. 2. I did 1 camera at a time and once activated - turned it off. 3 I had difficulty getting 1 of them to synch up (I spent a lot of time on this and was going to send it back when surprise I read the APPs help section. after doing a factory reset I was able to sync it with the pattern . ) Once I got them individually set up I went to install. I did purchase the battery charge station so they all had 100% charge. Thanks again for your video.

Every time I place that QR code from my phone in front of the cam my heart skips a beat. Seems I have a poor first time recognition success rate.

For IPhone user or iOS you must turn off your cellular data from your phone settings and add the camera one at time. Just follow the Arlo app prompt then your good to go. You must also consider your WiFi upload speed can accommodate all three cameras, each of the camera required 2Mbps upload speed or else you will experience OFFLINE error.
Life saver, even a few years later. Still glitching. Better to scan the QR code of all three one after another then hit continue. It was always a hit or miss when doing one at a time. Thank you!
Good setup, recommend solar panels to keep them always charged up and with the distance from your house if night vision needs work Amazon has attachable floodlights!

Thank you for this. I just got my single Arlo Pro 4 camera today and you confirmed the set up I did. I live in a remote area where there is no cell service, so will have to rely on the library, I’m guessing , to see any captured footage on my iPad when I get home. Is this correct? They perform well! My cameras are mounted rather far from the house itself and I am still able to make it out in the dark. If the cameras were closer it would be a perfect image, and there is a small light on the camera that can be turned on to provide colorized night vision. Not necessary for the picture clarity, but it provides additional detail.
I've heard others say they had trouble setting up more than one camera at a time try one at a time just put battery in one at a time and that should do the job
Been trying to connect the other 2 cam..could only get 1 camera set up....other 2 camera for some reason can't read the bar code or something..its been frustrating

Concerning the magnetic mounting - is the whole back side of the camera magnetic? Meaning, instead of placing the camera in the magnetic mount at the bottom / backside like always shown - can I use the top / backside of the camera instead?
Arlo mentions the Pro 4 can be mounted up to a hight of 6'5" (1.9 meters). This seems pretty low as most people can just reach up and remove (steal) the camera, especially if just using a magnetic mount.
After buying the Arlo pro 4, I have to say that I am very underwhelmed by the delay and quality of the resolution. I am strongly thinking of returning it.

I just bought Arlo - Pro 4 Spotlight Camera Security Bundle - 3 Wire-Free Cameras Indoor/Outdoor 2K with Color Night Vision (12 pieces) for my business. It's 300 miles away and my manager will be installing. Can I after is set up connect and watch it from my phone as well? Will I have to go to the location to set it up?
I bought the Arlo Pro 4 Security 3 pack from Best Buy $399 The Mounts it comes with (Sticks out of the back with a ball and a round tightening device that you turn clockwise to tighten to the piece that connects to the 3 hole drill wall mount) does not appear to be compatible with the Gutter mounts because there does not seem to be a way to remove that piece with the ball that sticks out 2 inches from the back of the shell (Sold Seperately) Is there a Black shell only that comes with the Arlo Pro 4 camera. Where can you buy a standard Arlo Pro 4 Black shell? Also Arlo messed up and didn't put the Security Key (Used to remove the camera and or battery from the Security Shell mount that it comes with) in the package is a replacement Arlo key sold anywhere? (LUCKILY YOU CAN USE A CERTAIN #2 SECURITY BIT FROM A SECURITY BIT SET IN PLACE OF THE ARLO SECURITY KEY IF NEED BE).

Sorry for the confusion. It turns out that you do need a subscription for cloud storage with the Pro 4 cameras. Older Arlo cameras came with 7 days of continuous free storage. But not the Pro 4. You need to pay $10 per month for an Arlo Smart subscription in order to receive 30 days of storage with the Pro 4 cameras. Sorry again for the confusion.

hi there! I believe you are correct. Since the pro 4 cameras log their recorded data in the cloud, CVR is not available unless you have the hub to record and store the video to. As for the battery, I cannot say about it in CVR mode since I don’t use that function, but I can tell you that my most used camera has dropped down to 35% in about 3 months. The two less frequently used are around 70%
So I got this Arlo Pro 4 set of 3 but now I’m worried that if my wifi isn’t really strong it will not be good. Contemplating returning them and getting the Arlo Pro 3 set of 4 w/ smart hub which is the same price as the Arlo pro 4 kit ($499). Would the wifi range of these individual cameras be more or less then the arlo pro 3 set with smart hub? What do you think?
As far as I can tell the pro 3 with the smart hub and the pro 4 without the smart hub have the exact same range of 300ft. So you shouldn't be any better with the smarthub and pro 3. With that being said you might be able to more easily position the smarthub so that it is in a more centralized location in your house so that the cameras can get a better single, as opposed to relocating your wifi modem. Hope this helps!
Just bought a one pack arlo pro 4. Followed all the prompts on the app and for some reason wont find my camera. I have great internet so I don't understand why it won't connect. Any feedback is appreciated!

I've been looking at these types of outdoor cameras and I was wondering if they have some type of small flash memory so if they start recording a person then the camera could save the file until you have time to download it off the camera, also what is the range of the WiFi for those cameras?
No flash storage. You don't want that anyway. If the camera is damaged or stolen, your footage is gone forever. All videos go online and you can save them to your phone or computer.
@@charkswitlazers problem is you need a paid subscription to upload to the cloud, frankly that isn't a good reason to not have some type of at home storage you don't need to constantly pay for besides if the criminals are covering their faces from the start or know where the cameras are so they can destroy them before performing their criminal act then it's not going to matter what type of storage you have at that point.

I had the same issue when trying to connect the cameras. I had to charge the cameras to 100% and that made a difference with the connection process.

@@LadyD8131 Make sure you don't have 5g Wi-Fi on and keep the camera close to the router while it's scanning.

You get 7 days of cloud storage, unless you pay for a subscription, then you get 30 days. You can download any video clip you want though!
