    SMALL CORRECTION: I said the eradiator's multi melta melta range was 12", it's just 9" like the rest. A bit of a hangover from 9th Edition there I think. I used non melta range for the 'average damage' calculation. Thanks for pointing that out!

      I miss the days of 7th edition when my sisters could bring ~40 meltaguns and more than a dozen flamers in a 2k list. The local knight player was very surprised to find out that was my 'all comers' list and had been for a couple of years.

    Tyrannofex is one of the most fun and swingy anti tank units in the game. Ether it does nothing and sits there missing shots, or it becomes a nightmare to deal with ripping apart your opponents anti tank and making it harder and harder to deal with as the game progresses. I have single handedly won games due to double rupture fex suppression fire. 😅

      No kidding. With 2 tyrannifex I 'accidentally' did 30 dmg to a knight. (3/4 of shots made through)

      Well it isn't that swingy anymore, since the damage change it is pretty easy to get some consistent damage from the rupture cannon now. Use an Exocrine ability on a high priority target and unless you can't roll high to save your life then this has become pretty dumb to pop at targets

      Exocrine and T-fex are both nasty, but the T-fex is far more frightening. I agree - I have ruined the backbone of many a Battleline with precision fire from T-fexes in the backfield. You put the two together, and then the T-fex just doesn’t miss. I annihilated a Stompa yesterday with the two!

      in their own army maxed out melee DW Veterans in a Blackstar, almost the same as the DG combo.

      sadly has weakness vs monsters. so if you don't know what you play against, using skyweavers only can be trouble

      I tried an harlequin list against necrons yesterday with 3 units of 2 skyweavers and 3 voidweavers... well... i saw it's monolith vanish in one shoot phase ^^
      Sure theses aren't useful if there isn't any vehicule but most lists will have some, monsters aren't as commons as vehicule, good thing my friend wasn't playing c'tan though ^^

      And even if your opponent is using big monsters on objectives the Voidweaver's forced battle shock roll and current detachment ability makes them terrifying and you might can beat the monster's OC with a small troupe. The haywire is not as good as the prismatic lance I think though for them.

    My best personal Anti "Tank" units are (they are basically anti anything but they won me last 7 games in a row):
    6 Agressors with flamers, Gravis Captain, Land Raider Redeemer + Immolation protocol in Firestorm detach . . . In a game 2 days ago I managed with this take down Necron Monolith in turn 1 (Normally this combo clears huge horde units, C'Tan shards or Monsters/Vehicles around T8 - T10 without major problem)
    Vindicator in Firestorm detach . . . That Demolisher cannon shooting after Advance makes mess with S15 if I shoot at 12"

    38:30 Heavy Destroyers are by a wide margin the simplest and most effective nut cracker in the crypts. 150 points for three that erase any standard vehicle in two shots. Doomsday is also acceptable, but cost 33% more and are more swingy.

    The lack of ranged anti tank for Orks really hurts them. I hate being forced to use Beast Snaggas, they just ain't my thing.

    I know its not a unit, but doombolt really is the pillar of anti-tank for thousand sons. I know magnus is great on paper but you dont often want him committing to fights in the early game. Flinging two doombolts 36" downrange is a brilliant substitute. You don't even need to spike it to soften people up nicely. just remember to position your sorcerers correctly around the mutalith.
    The infernal master _on his own_ shooting onto an objective is outrageous. Toss in magnus' +1 aura, or perhaps devastating sorcery and you are going to wipe stuff, even in overwatch.

    The thing with gsc is that the codex nerfed every anti tank weapon (mostly explosives) from an average strength of 12 to 9. What is an anti vehicle saboteur, that once had quadrupled damage against tanks, supposed to to with S9 explosives? Seems the codex was tryna deal with an op faction, that already got nerfed by the time the codex came out, so it destroyed them.

      Yeah any hand held mining weapon and demon charge got dropped to 9, despite never being brought on neophytes. The only high damage ones now are on the trucks and rockgrinder plus the ridgerunner. Though lethal hits on 5+ with rerolls isnt bad.

      GWs shit mantra off "Urgh more tanky edition" while mostly only pushing the Toughness of SM Units and nerfing all the good anti tank/higher tougness guns from the other factions is what really pisses me off this edition. My Fusion Blaster Crisis Suits are only able to kill something of high toughness with Farsight and or the Retelation cadre, but meanwhile shooting at something else is complete overkill. Same sometimes with my sisters, where i rely heavily on my miracle dice.

      ​@burnbobquist8999 T'au in general really lost in the Strength/Toughness rebalance. Crisis Suits are, to my knowledge, the single lowest-toughness Vehicle in the entire game, meanwhile our supposedly dedicated anti-tank option for them wounds their "ideal" targets on 5s with no "anti" keywords in sight.

    A slight error in the video: you said for Eradicators to get them within 12" for melta range on the Multi Melta, but Multi Meltas are range 18, not 24

    Eradicator bomb in a repulsor with Apothecary Biologis and fire discipline is an absolutely heinous threat. Even on overwatch with full rerolls, lethal hits and sustained, they can very easily sniper vehicles and monsters.

      exchange eradicators for hellblasters with fire discipline, and with use of stratagem that gives ignore cover and extra AP they open tanks from better range, they shoot after death, they shoot after run, they also have heavy , and they work against elites and infantry - they force oponent to roll 15-18 saves on average ap-4 flat 2dmg ignore cover, which is more then enough to kill most of the tanks, elite groups, even knights. they are far more useful , handy and less risky.

      @@thekrokoo Costs CP, doesn't have innate rerolls (meaning I don't need to put OoM on the target) and eradicators also have heavy, not that it ever comes into play and the eradictors don't need to risk a hazard roll to deal decent damage.
      Also the reason the eradicator bomb works with a repulsor is that gravis armor is very irritating to kill with anti infrantry ranged weapons at T6 with 3 wounds each, and the repulsor protects them from melee. By comparison, tacticus armor is a lot more susceptible to be being shot.
      Not saying the hellblasters don't work, to be clear, I'm sure they do. But the eradicator bomb works very well. And the innate rerolls mean I can even do it on overwatch to a target getting too close to me, even if I didn't have my oath of moment on it.

      @@Caranelen I agree that they dont use Oom when shooting at tanks and this is advantage, but if u shoot at anything with Inv save 4+ they are so bad it hurts . Also they have rerolls only against vehicle/monster which make them very bad against infantry. If oponent use smoke, half of the unit will be shooting on 5+ and wounding on 5+ soo good luck with rerolls. It is very troublesome unit and if you have skilled opponent that knows how to play they disembark, kill rhinos or sth of less importance and die from anything like predator s9 ap-2 3dmg flat from faar away that they 18" range wont help. It will be very bad exchange. Therfore I think eradicators are not good. There are many things that may go wrong with them and they will most than half of the time using them. If you play with skilled oponent. It is way harder to trick hellblasters

      @@thekrokoo And yet I've seen tournament winning lists using eradicator bombs, but never seen a hellblaster bomb at that level. So clearly against skilled opponents they can still function extremely well.
      But as for the predator, yes, if I disembark from the transport in a position where the predator can do that, no doubt he can wreck my unit. But that's sort of the point, you don't expose them needlessly, certainly not for a measly rhino if I know he can then fire on them with impunity. And Hellblasters are more vulnerable to the far more common dmg2 weapons, as one failed save is a lost model. By comparison, it takes 10 failed saves against dmg2 to wipe a hellblaster squad, but 12 against en eradicator (not counting characters on either squad), and not counting the fact eradicators have a higher toughness. In addition, the first lost models on an eradicator squad will be the regular meltas, which is less of an impact on damage output.
      They both have advantages I feel, and yes, undoubtedly the hellblasters are more general purpose than the eradicators, but against vehicles I still feel eradicator bomb + apo + fire discipline is flat out better.

    I remember the first game i played with my exalted eightbound. Made a xharge out of deep strike into my friends wardog. He was quite surprised I one rounded it in the fight phase.

    18:45 it really bugs me that Fellhammer Siege Host is not the best detachment for Vindicators. Once again, the answer is Renegade Raiders. *sigh*

    It feels like everyone forgets that Deathguard have some of the most surprising vehicles. Myphitic Blight-Haulers are *HUNGRY* for enemy vehicles, with a multi-melta and krak missile each round. The Foetid Bloat Drones aren't specifically tuned to killing armour, but their 6 shots of 8-2-2 also have lethal hits, so they can usually brute force 2-4 wounds per round on more durable targets. They're both 90pts per model as well, with 9 toughness, 10 wounds, and a 3+/5++ save set, so you're getting a lot of bang for your buck and they're likely to weather a TON of small arms fire, especially if you hit them with a cloud of flies strat

    Running an exocrine to tee up my tyrannofex's shots so i get rerolls of 1 to hit really helps. The exocrine alone also deals some damage as well.

    I honestly think the most underrated SM anti-tank unit is a brick of ten hammer-and-shield Terminators, led by a hammer-and-shield Ancient. Well. I say anti-tank, more like anti-everything. Just gently walk them up the battlefield, 46w of Terminator-armoured toughness that can laugh off a lot of things. When they finally do start to take casualties, the Ancients' banner makes their hammers hit and wound even harder, and between that and Devastating Wounds, there's very little that can stand up to them.

    I like my Hellblasters for killing, well pretty much everything. But I also tried the Stormspeeder Thunderstrike in combination with Hellblasters and Redemptor Dreadnoughts and it works like a Charm. The high AP and the fix DMG are great with the +1 to wound. I like the Combination more than the Lancer at the moment.

    Currently I've had shalaxi kill every size of Knight, avatar, each of the ctan, mortarion, angron (twice in one game), guilliman, a host of various names heroes like creed who she's obviously gonna win against but are like heroes of their relevant factions....
    And she died to a scythed heirodule, a random bug there's probably thousands of 😅

    Not the best, but not a bad option for Space Marines, is a jump pack captain with a big squad of jump intercessors. Rite of battle for a grenade and charge to use the Hammer of Wrath ability. Can grab a few power fists.
    Not the best option but I have been able to reliably use it. They are also quite quick to move around.

    In my experience with World Eaters i have found that the daemon prince with wings can take out most things relatively easy if its his sworn enemy target.

    Ghostkeels with fusion colliders are good anti tank for retaliation cadra. A2 S12 AP-4 Dd6 melta 2 and not over costed like broadsides.

    for guard, I want to add kasrkin in a chimera as possible AT solutions. with grenade+tankshock+meltamine, they deal on average 10MW on tanks before shooting. it does cost CP and has limited range of 19" (13 from chimera with MMM +3 disembark +3 meltamine range) but it is realy respecable for an all purpose unit

    Similar problem with multi meltas across the board, especially in guard. Perfectly fine against heavy/elite infantry, but actually not very good against vehicles. Str 9 weapons still wound most vehicles on 5's, after already having shot poorly. You may aswell take plasma cannons and supercharge them against almost everything, unless you're worried about firing in melee.

    Its not the best but a 10man Hellblaster Squad with a Lieutenant in Vanguard Using Strike from the shadows can go crazy.
    20 Attacks with Lethals BS 2, 8 Strength, 4 AP 2 Damage. Not the best tank killer, but it scares everyone ive matched against

    At 35:00 what did he mean by full rerolls to hit and wound from OOE? He just gives hit rerolls, no Carnifex claw has twin linked, although that would be great. I never even noticed that, but every other crashing claw has twin linked, even the small one from the Tyrant Guard, strange! Its the same deal with the flamers, most have ignores cover but not all.

    Thousand Sons has another another unlikely contendant: The Sorcerer on terminator armor has a 3A S4 FP-3 dam2 Anti-Monster/vehicle Psychic with D.wounds. Add vortex for +1S +1dam , he gives himself lethal hits and with the kindred sorcery sustained hits too. Spice it up with the re-roll everything to hit and wound. Easiest 6-12 damage of my life

      Even aggressors would be decent against tanks with tor... s6 (7 in firestorm), ap-3, damage 3 with d6+1 auto hits could probably slag a tank fairly easily.

      It's a dying shame they took his lethal hits away. He was a perfect foil for aggressors to give then some diversity and then they're like "nah. Marines having fun? Can't have that, can we?"

    Daemons: You mention Bloodletters, and I’m here to tell you that you’re correct. When they are properly buffed, they will kill anything in the game. They can get up to an absurd 36 attacks S8 AP-6 damage 5 and 6, hitting on 2s, +1 to wound, with innate wound re-rolls of 1 or full wound rerolls into half health targets. Every time I play, I get the “I didn’t fully respect their damage” speech.

      not sure where your getting all of those numbers. using a bloodmaster, a rendthrone, a nearby blood thirster and skarbrand, and draught of terror, i got 36 attacks, Str 6 damage 3 ap-4, +1 to wound and the rerolls

      @@yellowsubmrine yeah it’s a weird rule, but we have a few instances of it in the daemons index. I believe you can make an enemy unit -3 toughness with three separate G.U.O.s
      Some people I play against act like I’m being gamey, but the fact remains that Khorne daemons are not exactly breaking the game, and have a lot of counter play and interactivity in comparison to some other things. Maybe they should fix the rule interaction, but I don’t think it’s honestly causing a lot of problems and it’s rarely practical to stack it more than once.

    3 eradicators into a land raider. All three go through. 3 6s on the damage. Profuse apologies to the opponent.
    It then blows up and totals 17 mortal wounds to various units of his.
    Possibly the worst I’ve felt for an opponent for spiking on my rolls.

      Had a chain reaction of deadly demise where one vehicle explosion destroyed a damaged one nearby, which also had deadly demise and killed another vehicle. Plus the infantry. You have conflicted feelings then. On the one hand, it's hilarious, on the other, you know how bad it sucks to be on the receiving end of it.

    @Auspex, Eradicators on,y have 18” range, so Melta bonus is inside 9” not 12”

    Keep in mind Vahls multi melta crew is STR 9, though the rerolls are definitely nice, as you say vahl and her squad are thin for the investment cost. Seems everything I fight has a 4+ invuln too, my own terrible rolls constantly letting me down aside. Against any regular vehicle on a shoot + charge they'll smash it to bits, against anything actually big sisters don't have anything high strength to harm it.

    Recently played a 2k game against Necrons with a monolith, my whole list basically tailored against that with stuff like Vindicator, Rep. Ex, Gladiator Lancer, 10 Deathtermis with Chainfists and 5 Deathwing Knights. All of my tanks got deleted before they could scratch that thing, but then came my knights and more or less singlehandedly killed that sucker (even more so just the Knight Master). Like how did that happen?😂

    Auspex must be spying on me. Had a game on wednesday where i got walked over by big nids and was reconsidering my anti monster options.     Being the only melee infantry with AP -3 I'd bet on Sanguinary Guard or DC with Jump Packs. If including others then Death Company Dreadnought looks nasty with AP -3 and Damage 3 Strikes because apparently in the entirety of the Blood Angels no one is allowed a straight up Damage 3 melee weapon.

    I feel that for Death Guard the Plague burst crawler has a good shot with AT with the entropy cannons, but the S10 shots within 24" limits it a bit. Otherwise for memes just send Morty in for AT since his S14 strike attacks will probably cripple a vehicle really fast.

    I'm gonna have to be that guy who brings up that 4 Grav Cannons from a Devastator Squad absolutely smoke Eradictors at breaking tanks like under only Oath of Moment and no other buff you're looking at 12 - 15 wounds on ANY 3+ save vehicle. Just . . . don't ask them to take out Monsters.

    For those wondering the BEST anti-tank in Tyranids is actaully OOE+2 canifexes. Mathematically nothing else even comes close to dealing 34 damage to a knight in the army.

    DG: Helbrutes? The Deathguard helbrute with plasmacannon and hammer is an absolute monster. S14 with -1 toughness and AP4... that is pretty baller for only 130 points. The strats available also can give that hammer sustained hits 1/2(if by an objective)

    Tau = your tanks are gone. Hammerhead, skyray, Broadsides, sunforge crisis, (or even solo commanders), pathfinders with rails, ghostkeel with fusion, and my personal favorite... piranha fusion blasters... personally take 3 units of 2 but you can of course do more than this. Anything that had tag on seekers (such as the piranhas) just oblitterate knights, or any tank/monster heavy army.

    In sororitas section there is one more - retributors with meltas and hero, who gives devastating wounds. With miracle dice, you can GUARANTEE 8 damage in melta range, absolutely ridiculous.

    Wouldn't the Myphitic Blight-Hauler of the Death Guard be pretty good at picking tanks? Can dive quickly into short range of tanks, a Multi-melta 2A S9 AP-4 DamD6 with Melta2 , a Missile launcher loaded with Krak missiles (48" A1 S9 PA-2 DamD6) and most importantly their Tank Hunter ability (+1 to wound with ranged attacks if the target is a vehicle).
    With the recent cut of -10 point per model, even tho it's still pretty niche, and probably a bit weaker than drones, I feel like some DG armies could still take one or two of these lads.
    Did I mention they look adorable too?

    i think the mutalith is a better anti tank than magnus. idk the maths but the vortex beam is very strong, especially considering it's just one shot so i can easily comman point re-roll if it's an important hit

    Dreadknight need to either be T10 or -1 to wound. They hit hard but they don't last long enough for their points compared to similar units.

    i think Valdor is better for AM, it has FULL damage re-roll and 2 shots with heavy 14 -4 d6, that can be 2+ to hit 3+ to wound 4d6+3 damage( i mean if lascannon and HKM did not miss). Also it has titanic, it may be usefull on terrain-heavy tables.

    I'd consider thundrkyn to be much more efficient at killing tanks then a sagitaur. Sagitaur can be incredibly swingy and do insane damage or virtually none. Where as even a single thundrkyn model can push thru upwards of 12 wounds if it rolls hot! Now imagine a squad of 6 of them 😂

    The shadowsword is the Primier anti Tank unit for guard. Will absolutly 1 tap any knight and any other vehicle or monster in the game.
    Perosnally i also think the Vanquisher is just better anti armour than the demolisher. Its only one attack but the damage is way less swingy and with its lascannon has a chance to bracket a Baneblade in a turn.

      Worse profile, actually, when you factor in how few shots they get. Spotting for them with a Stealth Team with markerlights more or less evens things out, but the fact that they wound their "ideal" targets on 5s is laughable.

      @markus1351 So I ran the math and I may have been unfair to them, of course you're gonna guide them so on average 4 hits, more or less 2 wounds with datasheet ability rerolls, putting an average of 7 damage on a vehicle, 11 if in melta range.
