Not sure about BlackAera, but I prefer version 1's GUI much more. I prefer 3d as opposed to the bland flat look. Just personal preference really. Obviously otherwise, version 2 has a lot more going for it. I just wish they'd kept the original GUI or at least gave users the option to chose between the old and new ones.

$199 for me is not cheep, and I think it is overpriced. Crossgrade are different. Crossgrade from vocal synth1 is on sale for $79, and not $49 expect if you own music production suite. My point is that the crossgrade happened almost every year or two from Isotope witch is good, but, overpriced. That's my point. Other can have there point, and that's fine with me.
They hit the nail on the head with this one. I just bought this yesterday, and I’m blown away by what it has done to a new mix of mine.
Izotope always nails the visual aspect of the plugins, in addition to being exquisite pieces of software.

You can do either or. Open VocalSynth 2, head to the mode tab and follow the steps to set up MIDI mode in your DAW.
