Installing tire chains changes the diameter of the tire. Running a set on one axle on an all wheel drive vehicle, you run the risk of driveline wind up and/or center differential fatigue. I occasionally ran a complete set on my Oshkosh.
That drone footage is great. I’m looking forward to seeing some videos of any fixes you might have. Also when the weather is nice maybe a good in depth walk around that includes the transmission and transfer case controls.
So does the Mog have a very slow gear? It seems like you are pushing it hard down that road when I compare it to the way the German municipal guys do it?
I try and keep the rear engine at a constant load. Normally I will sent the RPM at 2500 and load the engine down to 2300 and try and keep it there. The Mog has 20 speeds so I can gear it down. These single stage fan blowers are faster than a ribbon or drum blowers. But really dense snow can stop it if I get in too deep or move the too fast. You can feel it when the rear engine starts to bog down and usually if I just let up on the throttle it will clear the blower and the rpms will come back up.
Mercedes /Puch 406 so nice and useful truck. 2003-2008 we use new Unimog with hi speed gear box in Dakar Rally. 1/18 scale Unimog 406/403 ready to run RC model , very nice body and 4wd system, it is good for play both indoor and garden or display at home or at office. Has to do with the wind direction and when the snow naturally builds up. I am throwing it with the wind so it's out of the way. It also puts less powder on the windshield if you go with the wind.
Love seeing mogs doing work!
Not an easy job for dis combination.
Greetings from the Netherlands.

Surely with those low levels of grip a driveline wind up wouldn't be an issue?

I also don't understand why you are blowing the snow across the road you have already cleared?
