In the ksg's case, you'll instead swap to the other tube, letting you have both slugs AND buck for example, in the same gun at the same time. Like insurgency sandstorm, you'll have the option to do both a fast and a slow reload. Slow will retain the magazine and ammo, fast will throw it all out for a quicker reload, but at the loss of ammo and your magazine. Take note that i also thought of a reason to keep empty magazines. Like battlefield, you'll be able to refill your ammo count completely at any capture points, but once out in the field between points, you'll only be able to recharge your supply from the support gunners. However, support ONLY refills the magazines you have left, so if you went and dropped them all, your total ammo count will be for the magazines you have left. Shotguns with magazine tubes obviously can't work the same way, so instead my idea was to have the slow and fast reload function differently. Slow reload will keep the gun at the ready, allowing you to fire instantly despite still loading. A fast reload will be quicker, obviously, but you'll hold the gun closer to yourself to load faster, not allowing you to be ready to fire immediately should the situation call for it. That being my system, the ksg would also have a fast and slow rechamber and tube switch option. Single tapping the fire mode button will retain the unspent shell while switching, and the fast swap will simply discard the unspent shell.
