- As always, Yankee Arnold's teaching is awesome. He truly has a gift for teaching the simplicity that is the gospel of Jesus Christ.
In this video he demonstrates the ways in which the works for salvation deceivers use pejorative terms like "Easy Believism" to complicate the gospel, to make it difficult to believe, and ultimately to add a requirement of works as proof of genuine faith.
Funny how "easy believism" is pretty hard to believe. So many people say it's too easy to be true and too easy to believe, yet nobody believes it. They mockingly label it as "easy believism" and "cheap" or "free" grace to make it sound ugly and unappealing. Yes, grace is free, but it sure didn't come free. It was paid for with a very high price, higher than we can fathom. Faith alone in Christ alone is the narrow gate. Strive to enter the narrow gate, because there's only one way in and it's very narrow
And that way is through Jesus Christ! We cannot come up like a thief or a robber, trusting in ourselves to be the Savior! I do better with sin since I came out of legalism bc I'm growing in grace, but either way I couldn't ever earn salvation. That's a gift from Christ. I try to do my best so as to be an example to others and not to hinder my brother, not for salvation! I am far from what ppl would call "acceptable" but God has brought me far from the drug addict I use to be! He is amazing

Ray Comfort assures me that I cannot possibly be saved as my works are not as good as his. I find Mr. Comfort provides no comfort at all and I can tell you his preaching does not spur me on to obedience in Christ but to just give up because I have no idea how to make myself sinless.
he just spurs people onto legalism and self-righteousness. Using the law is good in evangelism but then saying you have to turn from all your sins to be saved is wrong.
@@johnfaherty8662 You are exactly right. Salvation is a free gift from God given to those who choose to put their faith in Jesus's finished work on the cross. I find that these turn from your sins preachers really don't exhort me to more obedience but rather to despondency because I know for sure I still have sin in my life , regardless of how often I turn from sin or how hard I try to not sin. I find that the preaching of the grace of God toward those of us who believe leads me to not desire sin so much, but I know I still sin.
It's like when you were a kid you didn't have money for all the toys and candy you thought you wanted but ow that you are an adult you have the money for all the toys and candy you ever wanted when you were a kid but now you don't want any of it even though you are free and able to have it. Law vs. Grace is something like that. I just remember to thank God every day for the sacrifice of His Son Jesus who made salvation possible even though I don't really understand it all that well. But God is good and I have in Him the trust of a child.
That is why we call him Ray Discomfort!

Yankee Arnold is such a great preacher of the word and his videos dont get the thousands upon thousands of likes or views the paul washers do or the john mcarthurs do.
Paul Washer feeds the ego and is a young, handsome man that uses emotion to deceive people. That junk is always popular. And the teaching of the word is hated by most people. Talking about teaching word is always appreciated but the actual teaching of the word is another matter.

I think about that letter from an INDEPENDENT BAPTIST PASTOR, and then read some of the comments here, and all I can think about is how close we are to the rapture.
We’ve definitely been seeing the falling away in recent times. People will wish they hadn’t over-complicated the free gift of salvation when those around them go missing all of the sudden. Then, for sure, there won’t be anything “easy” on the road ahead!

Are you perfect? Don’t you still slip back into sin and bad habits? If you’re honest you would have to say yes. We are all still sinners. He who says he has no sin is a LIAR. It’s so easy to believe on Jesus Christ for salvation yet so many people make it so hard and complicated. People who think it’s “easy believeism” are the ones who have to work for their salvation and most likely aren’t saved because they think they have to help God out by being good and not sinning. What does it mean to walk in darkness? A style of life.If we say we are a Christian and our lifestyle contradicts everything God has told us about Himself and His will we are a liar.

It's really disturbing to hear you have to turn from sin to be saved. How can someone who is not saved, and doesn't have the Holy Spirit, turn from their sin? You can't understand the Bible if you do not have the Holy Spirit to teach and guide you. There's no changing until you believe in the Lord Jesus. He's the gift of God. All we can do is receive Him. Repentance is not a change of actions, it's a change of mind: you realize you are a sinner, you're on your way to hell because you're a sinner; in other words, it's true judgment of yourself before God: you agree with God: yes, I understand that I am a sinner in need of the Savior: Jesus Christ. There's no works, but there is a true change of mind. After salvation, you can start reading the Bible, going to church and you can understand what the Bible says, and what is being taught in church, because you are now saved and have the Holy Spirit. Then your life will start to change and you will start doing works, but not for salvation, because you settled that when you believed. The people that tell you you where never saved because you didn't change your life or do some sort of works will confuse you and keep you from growing. They create a seesaw effect of "I'm saved" one day, but "I'm not doing 'the works,' I didn't have a 'change of life' when I got saved," conclusion: I'm not saved, the next day. I was a victim of this type of double talk for years. If you're a Christian, read your Bible, and only listen to preachers who teach a clear, simple gospel message.

Amen! After you are saved by change of mind repentance and belief you should read your bible more and fix up your life but it is not required to get saved or stay saved. I've found out that from not reading my bible after I was saved legalistic people and lordship salvationist would crush me in arguments and make me doubt because I wasn't living right and studying the word enough but now I have regained assurance of my salvation. Ralph Yankee Arnold has helped me with that and I am very thankful. God bless!

Fear of not measuring up to Gods unrevealed measure of "true repentence" is a sure fire money maker for modern day Pharisees who wish to live in big houses and have their names on big books.

Believing is something that continues. A person who is being saved is a person who is living by faith.
A person is saved eternally THE MOMENT they place their faith and trust in Jesus Christ. Sanctification is an ongoing process, not salvation. Salvation is a one time thing at a certain moment of a person’s life.

@@Sam-xs3fv The question is.. what kinds of evidence does a person need to have to prove that they’re saved? Not only what kind, but how much evidence do they need? Can you answer these questions?

Would it be normal for someone to be born again, having a new nature, having a new spirit, being dead to sin and alive to God, being regenerated and renewed, being filled with the Holy Spirit, being indwelt by Christ, and see no changes?

The narrow way (Sanctification)is the proof that you have entered the small gate (Justification)and you can be sure of ending up with Eternal Life(Glorification)

Jesus never said Trust in Him for the forgiveness of sins.

I agree we are saved by the grace of God didn't earn it. The problem is osas teaching. Say a gay man gets saved and doesn't live that lifestyle any more then couple years later he goes back to his old ways living gay lifestyle again he dies in that lifestyle. According to osas he goes to heaven. According to the Bible no homosexual will enter heaven. Not picking on homosexual was just an example could have been any practicing sin lifestyle. That's the problem with osas it is deception
In that very same passage you reference, it also says no liar will go to heaven either. Therefore, since lying, imo, is common to all people before and after we are saved, then no one is possible to be saved.
We must therefore put those passages into context. In at least one of those passages, the author is talking about the judges and juries in Corinth, not a test of salvation.

Jesus is the grace of God. We are to pick up our cross and follow Jesus daily. If someone chooses not to continue to follow Jesus then they walk away from grace. Not saying if you follow Jesus and sin you lose your salvation we have Jesus for that also. Just saying it's possible to forfit your salvation. We have free will even after saved. Anyone catch what he said at 3:35, "When I want someone to get saved I just tell them what they need to do to get saved." That's works. That's the very definition of works. David Broome nope. Romans 4:5 is clear that placing your trust in Christ is not a work. Pastor Arnold is an amazing preacher that just preaches the clear gospel, which is how it’s meant to be; clear.

@@awakeandfearless4143 Plain and simple, the difference between Christianity and Easy Believism is that Easy Believists deny that God actually regenerates a person. Therefore the Easy Believists must invent doctrines such as the "two natures", or "all you have to do is believe he did it for you" to explain away all the clearly unconverted individuals who the pastors will claim to have "led to the Lord." Honestly, it's tiresome to listen to Easy Believists trying to support their positions by harping on Eph 2 v 8-9 but never touching the rest of chapter 2 wherein Paul tells us very plainly that the converted believer is created for good works. I hear what you're saying, but we're talking about two different religions. Best regards.
David Broome context is key. There are three parts to salvation: past= justification, present = sanctification and future = glorification. Justification is completed, and gets you into heaven-you can’t lose that. Sanctification is a process and does not get you to heaven but eaten you rewards at the Bema seat of Christ. Glorification happens-well, when we get glorified at the rapture. Context is key. Often times people conflate scripture that is referring to justification with those that are describing the process of sanctification or holy living. When you clear up the confounding and rightly divide scripture it all becomes crystal clear and no contradictions:)
John 6 28-29
28 Then they asked him, “What must we DO to do the works God requires?”
29 Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”
The devil and demand believe does that mean their going to heaven? No because they will not repent. What does it mean to repent? Turn from your sins and obey that's only way to receive the spirit of God and if you don't have the spirit then you are not his. So there is more to being born again than just believe but that is the beginning because if you don't believe you won't repent or obey. You only preach part truth sorry

No one can take it from you and you won't lose it if you slip up and sin after saved just repent have Jesus for that also. The problem is when someone that is saved chooses not to follow Jesus and dies in that condition doesn't repent they are doomed. Even the angles have free will and the ones that chose to follow Satan are doomed. Not saying everyone that is saved lose their salvation just that it's possible your choice if you follow Jesus or not

That's what Jesus meant when he said many times go and sin more. The preacher here is teaching osas he said if a person kills themselve still going to heaven. Killing is murder and if you kill yourself you can't repent so you die a murderer according to the Bible no murderer will enter heaven. They do teach part truth we are saved by the grace of God didn't earn it but do have to repent turn from your sin. That's why it's so easy to be deceived by their teaching it's part truth
James Miller Please tell me what sins you need to repent from to be saved. Then secondly, how’s that working out for you? Romans 4:5, Titus 3:5 for starters. Please get back to me. @@lesliedodds4011 Here is the power of God because i don't think you understand...God is able to call that which is not righteous--let's say me--righteous because I believe on Hts Son which His word says is the only way to salvation. Only the righteous, that is sinless, will enter heaven. Do you consider yourself to be sinless? I mean not one sin at all in your life anymore staring right now. We all know that even one sin is enough to condemn us to hell right? If you think the power of God is to make this flesh sinless, perfect or perfectible, then you do not understand at all what is being saved. You do not understand what the NEW MAN Paul taught of is. Doesn't it surprise you that Paul called himself, even late in life, chief of sinners? If Paul didn't make it to heaven then I have no chance I can tell you and probably not you as well. THIS is the power of God----that we believe on the ONE He sent --Jesus the Christ--not on our own trying and self denial and all that. Salvation is by faith, by accepting the free gift, the work of Jesus that we never could do. Jesus asked the Father the night before His crucifixion if there was any other way, that He might not have to drink from the cup of death, but the Father allowed His only begotten Son to die because there was no other way. To think you can earn the righteousness required to enter heaven is to deny the sacrifice of Jesus. This is what we are talking about here.
Now if you wish to have a discussion of growing in grace and conforming to the likeness of Christ then we can talk about effort and self denial and all that. But that is not for salvation but for Kingdom rewards.
