  • Video shot on day one of SEMA In Las Vegas at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Lots of custom cars, hot rods, muscle cars, and the occasional lifted truck. Obviously I couldn't show every vehicle at the show, but I did get footage of many of the best show cars at the show.
    The camera did have some issues in the lower light areas. Sorry about that.

    The camera did have some issues in some of the low light areas of the show, particularly towards the beginning of the video. Still wanted to bring you as much footage as I could. Thanks for understanding.

      Projected Health and Safety Requirements for 2021 SEMA Show
      Based on current COVID-19 indicators and trends in Clark County, Nevada, attendees at the 2021 SEMA Show can expect that face masks will be required while indoors during the event taking place November 2-5, 2021, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
      SEMA Show organizers will adhere to the safety measures that are required by state and local health authorities. Forecasts indicate that masks will continue to be required indoors when the SEMA Show is held in Las Vegas in early November. Currently there is no requirement to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test for trade shows, and there is no indication these measures would be in place in November.
      Las Vegas's COVID-19 health and safety requirements, currently set by the State of Nevada, are dictated by key indicators, including average number of tests per day, case rates and test positivity rates. Numbers and ratings must reach and maintain specific levels for 14 days in order for requirements to change. While key indicators continue to improve in Las Vegas, the current health and safety requirements are not expected to change before the SEMA Show takes place in early November. Therefore, SEMA Showgoers should plan on wearing masks while indoors; masks would not be required at the SEMA Show features located in more than one million square feet of outdoor space.
      Inside the LVCC, operators have installed hospital-grade air filtration systems and earned the GBAC Star Certified rating for cleaning and sanitization for event facilities. Expansion into the new West Hall provides more show space, so there will be wider aisles and reduced crowding throughout the entire convention center. Hand-sanitizing stations will also be placed throughout the event, and high-traffic areas will be cleaned daily.
      SEMA Show organizers are continuing to monitor the COVID-19 landscape and will keep the industry updated of any unexpected changes. Details will be posted on the official SEMA Show website at www.semashow.com and on official SEMA Show social media accounts.

    Mike, this is the 1st video I've seen done by you & it was interesting so I subscribed. As for the car show that denied you a press pass I would have boycotted the show & suggested all my viewers do the same--that show obviously cares more about money than cars.

    • @MikeFrankovich
      @MikeFrankovich  2 года назад

      Thanks for subscribing. The car show in question is one of my favorites and I have been going for many years even before I started shooting videos. I mentioned getting shot down for a press pass since I thought it was humorous that they didn't consider RUclips to be "real" media even after sending them a link to my video shot at the event in early pre-lockdown 2020 that had well over 50,000 views, which of course was a great deal of free advertising for them. My viewers expect me to cover the event and I still consider it one that I don't want to miss. It's not about the cost of a ticket, but the fact that the press gets in one hour early every day of the three day show. It's very hard to shoot an indoor show with large crowds and getting in before the general public would have been a huge help. I still recommend folks check out the show in person if they can because its a great show, but I'll still shoot the show to the best of my ability for those who can't attend or are considering going. Attendance may be light this year anyway since the venue, LA County Fairgrounds, requires attendees to be fully vaccinated or have a negative test within 72 hours. The last Pomona Swap Meet held there had a much smaller crowd than the previous meet without the requirements.

    Don't worry too much about Project X. One thing about that car is that its never done , they swap out the power plant every three to five years, because of public reactions I have a feeling that it will go back to gas , now wouldn't that be epic, and thats the point of what their doing , what its gonna take is a new great powerful motor / engine , , you might not see it now but in 25 years electrification will be a part of hot rodding history, don't expect everyone to like it , I'm not a big fan of tuner cars - low riders and donks , but I can appreciate some aspects of what their doing = hot rodding

    hey mike!! thanks for posting this... i have a suggestion... scooter... 3 or 4 wheel electric to roll the show... i am in a chair, so i KNOW the value of transport... you can find old hover rounds or jazzy's for near nothing... new batteries... it can help... btw, project x has been and always was, from its $200 purchase to present day, a test bed... the 'crate' motor they put in there was NOT the crate ev they showed in 2019... we can engineer our way out of the speed shop!!! that's hot rodding!

      @@MikeFrankovich get something with stand-up seat height. Jazzy Air 2 should do the trick. Then again, a pair of exceptional shoes and a portable butt rest might be better. I have this vision of another camera shooter backing into Big Mike on a kart...not good.
