LOVE this step by step video on this. I of course want to get one of these bugs and one of the vans but not 100% on what I want to do with them yet. I have a local buddy that has both and he did patina and alot of scale work. Just awesome.
Dude!!! Totally need to order up a Rig Jig!!! I'm going to be doing alot of custom links here in the future. This will definitely work perfectly for me to set up my wheelbase on these custom builds. Great job on the design. Loving the Bug build
The links with those replaceable ends would be cool if they make different angles or length of link end, maybe even making ends with bushings moulded in.
Great stuff, impressive job on the roof and overall body mods, full commitment there. I like the different approach you took on this build ! I also collected all the parts to build one, can’t wait to finish my current project to jump on the bug :) What rear links length did you end up with ? Didn’t pay attention, it looks like you managed to keep the rampcrabs ?
Fantastic, as a novice to RC and crawlers, when you said dinkey in relation to the fronts is hat still a 1" wheel with small tyre and if so what tyre size is it please? subbed ad learning loads
Whats the wheel base on that big? You woere looking at tha tcrawler int he corner you called it a "Ninjago" or "C Bolt"? Just tryign to figure it out because the wife wants me to build here a VW bug crawler but want to base it off a Axial or FCX24 platform.
I can't believe how easy the bumpers came off yours. I've got the sills off but the amount of effort on the bumpers they actually started to bend! You didn't release anything prior to what was shown and it didn't make it into the video possibly?
Great video thanks for sharing.

Appreciate you checking it out 👍 dude
Enjoyed the build video Adam. Great work on this bug!
Cheers fella 👍

hell yeah it does I've got a build on one atm and it's so easy to build links for custom bodies.
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing!
So cool 😃❤️it, makes me want to work on my scx24 right now
Glad we can inspire new builds 🤘
That's awesome 😎
Thanks 😁
Nice build!
Really cool that you did that sunroof delete.
Now you just need a Vase with a flower on the dash.
Well done! I have to do this! I had two bugs when I was younger. Thanks for the build ideas.
Any time dogg🤘
Do you think that body would fit over a trx4m furitek bettle chassis without too much trouble?
@@bjddogg I think it will depend on how much of the original look you wanted to keep. As you might need to cut it about abit
Thank you!
Turned out looking awesome adam I have a bug it’s not a hardbody been thinking about doing one of these up nice job 😎👍
Yeah it came out real good in the end full committed to the cut and shut.
Nice luv da bug!! Where do you get your boxes for yer stuff? Stevie🏴
Keep your eyes out in B&Q there quite often and have got storage boxes for a good price also Screwfix fella

I had the same thought aswell 🤘
Badass build! Maybe I missed it, but was this a C10 wheelbase? 🧐
The Rampcrab kit is a c10 but I did move the rear links back 10mm
Good video! Thanks! My bug will be here on the 17th, Do you have a link for the chassis kit?
RampCrab Carbon Fiber Chassis Kit for SCX24, 7° Angled Skid, LCG Chassis Kit for Axial SCX24 SCX24 Gladiator & dodge power wagon amzn.eu/d/bPy0FJb
This is the gladiator one there is a c10 one as well but I did have to lengthen it by about 15mm.
First like and comment!
You missed out on the opportunity to do a rusty, muddy paintjob and call it the dung beetle, just kidding love the scarab build
😂 don't worry there's always time

So I had to move the links to a new position 10mm further back only had to drill one hole either side to make the mod.
@@REACTIVETERRAINRC thank you !

I used c10 front links and dead bolt rear links hope this helps dude 🤘

Hi Nigel yeah the bumpers take six pairs of hands 😂😂 you need to release both spring clips at the same time and even then there a little tight.
Thanks, got them off eventually and now just sat looking at the shell picturing it with various vuts
I found all of the screws in the Ramp Crab chassis kit to be garbage. I had a few strip. I threw them all out and used MOFO screws
I have to say I buy my own hardware and replace all cheap product screws. Injora and the hardware that come with the kits seems to be the best quality
I built mine on a meus scx24 ripper chassis. The nylon version, not the aluminium one 😂👍
Nice 👍🤘
Is the ripper chassis a C10 wheelbase?
@@RCRookie805 yes 👍
