I feel that Fauna actually intended to be hit by the spikes in the end not just for added speed and slight invincibility but to say she calculated everything from the start. Mother Nature after the RubberRoss arc truly is terrifying! 😂

I can understand why Miko and Luna went for fire flower at the beginning - babies thinking that it will give them upper hand, but Ina probably went with a group thinking.

Ina's and mikochi's (Luna with the baby background noise support, I can't understand her at all though) idle chatter as they're playing is so entertaining. Fauna just silently cleaned up.
Fauna knows what it takes to be a speedrunner. Damage-boosting through certain challenges was (and can still be) a legitimate strategy for making it to the end of the stages (especially for SMB3).
