I'm heading to Japan in May. Think I'll try to pick up a Seiko SKx007. But also I'll check out these stores, curious about a classic daydate stone dial or even an older steel Nautilus. Thanks for showing these shops.
The reason why their is such a difference between the two pepsis is quite interesting. Actually both of them are rare (mirror dial and Long E) Among the antique Ref. 1675 models, there is an extremely rare model with a mirror dial. The unique glossy dial is extremely beautiful, and the letters are written in gold, a style known as gold lettering. The mirror dial was only used on the early production Ref. 1675, and is not available on newer models with the same model number. Furthermore, the bezels of mirror dials are prone to fading, and depending on the age, some watches have small tips of the GMT hands.
Awesome video! Will you be doing a series in the stores located at nakano broadway? I’ll be visiting in February and plan on getting a vintage seiko with a kanji date to commemorate my Japan trip.
Rolexes indeed are priced above what you would be able to find in North America, but the upsides are they have variety, and if you're looking for non-Rolex brands, there are deals to be had!
I'm thinking exactly this when looking at oddpout's video too (great vid btw). I always thought Japan's watch market is the 2nd lowest, with lowest being Hong Kong, but that place is a landmine of franken watches I've heard.
Always a premium on Rolexes but alot of options if you don't want to wait and play the AD game. Great deals on other brands to be had so picked a JLC reverso duoface tribute calendar gold (phenomenal deal). My bro picked up a Lange Timezone gold. Def great experience and deals. 😊
@@dizedevl how much was the Lange Timezone and was payment via card? Any card surcharge? My card already has an inbuilt international transaction fee of 3%....and at that cost, it would be a hefty fee.
From the listed price of the watches in the video, it’s not any cheaper from other Asian countries such as Hong Kong, Malaysia or Singapore. In fact it’s much higher priced
I do feel that. I think Japan is great for variety, not for steals. Although less hyped brands like Panerai and Breitlings can be found at much cheaper prices than here in North America
Would you mind check out Tag Heuer's Aquaracer 300m Newest 2024 Version, I bet you will like it since I remember you mentioned before that you prefer bigger watch case but thinner watch case's thickness right.
I am looking for a Seamaster Aqua Terra 220.10.41.21.02.001, the one is the orange hand, any ideas ? I am going to Narita then Tokyo beginning of November thank you !!
Thanks for sharing your watch shopping experience in Japan. Hooked now in your videos 😁. I'm going to Tokyo this Dec. and planning to buy Tudor black bay 58 (your fave watch) or Pelagos. Do you think Tudor prices in Japan are good? Any store you recommend? Thanks very much.
It always amazes me how much beauty and precision are added to the parts of AMZWATCH's watch 99% of people will never see.

Thank you for watching. You'll be able to find all of those watches in Nakano!
Enjoy the hunt as it is the fun part
This really is a lot of fun 😁

Wow, I've never heard of the mirror dial before. I will do more research on it. Thank you!

@@ja5304 Yes Nakano is coming very soon. I actually havent see any vintage seikos so far, though I havent actively sought them out. Stay tuned!
Very relax and professional video. Bravo 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
bic camera has the deals for watches, 10% off, tax free, and 5% off if using a card for payment
Thats great to know. They had some beautiful watches at great prices!
Don’t forget to stop by HOUSEKIHIROBA in Shibuya : )
I'll make sure to go check it out!
I'm in Japan right now. Totally disappointed with the prices. Most of these can be had back home in USA for cheaper.

the upside is a right now availability for anything you could possibly want. In a culture that is very against selling fakes.

9:00 That 16750 on the left would be my pick. Although hands look replaced at some point. Bezel looks amazing.
Shinjuku is right up there with Nakano. But, indeed, between the busy station and the spread out location of the watch shops, Nakano is easier.
Shinjuku was an easier pill to swallow for the significant other because of all the distractions along the way 😂
I wanna buy my first vintage rolex, and I'm so sad that I'm not in Japan right now :((((

I do yes! Although I do prefer bezels that are fully round. Maybe one day Tag will release an LE with a round bezel

You should be able to find lots in Nakano! If not, Shinjuku should have it too. Happy Hunting :)
@@oddpout Thank you ;)
where do you get those books in Japan!
You can find them in any major bookstores! I will be doing a video on them soon
keep up the good work! 👊🏻
Thank you!
That Frank M was very cool
More FM content to come soon 😎
Having owned several neovintage as well as new Rolex in the past decade I’d much rather wear that Franck Muller. Much more interesting wristwatch.

Dude, just ask to try on some watches..
