After years with backpain, my relief is doing just about everything with a wide stance that activates my glutes. Like sumo deadlifts, gorilla rows etc. The opposite with standard deadlifts and barbell rows with my legs closer together puts too much tension on my back. Farmers walk is good too.

How can I be a patient of this dude? My squat has always sucked. I'm a woman who can bench a weight 10x easier than squat it. My legs are strong in every other workout but squat.
I always feel unbalanced and my hips always dip unevenly during a squat. I have been squatting the same weight for almost a year now. Despite doing progressive overload in everything else. I simply can't increase my squat. Every day it feels just as difficult as before to push the weight.

I wish. Hardly any internal but still some external rotation cuz right hip is bone on bone and I’m sad that it looks like my squatting days are over. Very very sad. It’s my training identity to perfect the squat. Favorite lift next to deadlift. Guess I’ll be switching to something else soon.

It’s frustrating having to give up something that you love so much… going though it myself right now and it’s a hard pill to swallow.
      Have you tried alternatives?
Leg press could be a good alternative just due to foot placement being more variable, allowing you to play with inversion, eversion, and stance width.
Split squats are sometimes good as well if your stability is okay since you’re limited in your depth by the floor, but can still get a good load unilaterally.
Other options are Hack squats, trap bar deadlifts, and reducing ROM with your squats to a comfortable range.
Ultimately the goal would be to maintain functional ROM and strength. You could still build muscle and gradually increase ROM as you feel more comfortable.

@@joshuakakooza5736 don’t wanna answer for him, but “bone-on-bone” is an orthopedic doctor term, so my guess is he got an MRI and had a doctor tell him he has “bone-on-bone” and arthritis…
Basically it is degeneration of cartilage or soft tissue such as hip labrum or knee meniscus that has resulted in OA. Generally the patient will present with pain, stiffness, decreased ROM, etc. and it can be with loading or through a set ROM.
