Walter Becker Media ...please tell Delia her husband was so admired and beloved by throngs of fans that’ve been with him from the beginning...and THANK YOU for sharing these gems with us...
I discovered this channel about three weeks ago. I wake up at night to go to my computer and listen. These songs run through my head 24/7 these days. They'll also MAKE my Summer. What a collection. Superb stuff.
Thank you, Walter Becker Media - I am so grateful for your for making these priceless Walter Becker gems available for public consumption. Bless you all! :-)
I would say he was a little more than that: co-wrote almost every Steely Dan song with Fagan ever released, played lead guitar on numerous top Steely Dan songs including F.M., Josie, Pretzel Logic, Home at Last and many others. yeah, slightly more than just the base player, which he was excellent on also.
Hey 👋 hello from Switzerland 🇨🇭 Valais valley Monthey Sunday night 14 August 2022 I am learning English and sometimes I am Muse or mother of songs ocean because my born story fast in songs and 51 old now I am and never see glory style

Yes, check out his two solo records, “Eleven Tracks of Whack” and “Circus Money.” I think he is at least as good a singer as Fagen, but a low voice like his wasn’t appropriate for the 1970s, when high voices were de rigueur in popular music. And of course when you read/listen to his lyrics, you will realize what has been missing from the lyrics in Fagen’s solo work.
There was nothing like him. He was so creative, and mixed and matched lyrics, and instruments better than anybody. Like around the 4 minute mark as an example.
@@davebartholome2924 I remember Donald paying tribute to Walter's writing, saying that he had a great understanding of people's psychology. And, if I remember correctly, Donald also said that if Walter had had the patience, he could have written novels.

What else can be said? You covered it mate.
We love you Walter Becker. RIP. The drummer you mentioned is Ben Perowsky.
I love finding another Walter and/or Don track I've never heard before.
Lyric at 5:03 eventually made it into Darkling Down.
3:56 too
WOW! Hadn't heard this. Wonderful Walter. Thanks a million.
I like so much his voice
"Our Lawn is Dying, so, what else is new."
Love it
This sounds A LOT like “Surf and/or Die” from 11 Tracks of Whack. Nice track.
want to bring HIM back, energy and again
Walter had done Midnight Cruiser live in the 90s and 200Os.
And sang it beautifully
Listen to that band …that music . .. that voice 🤍
Another exquisite, discursive gem from Walter.
Just what a PURE JOY....
Thank you 💜
He was the bass player on Steely Dan hit records Enough to be a legend
FYI - Walter was the co-founder of Steely Dan. He and Donald Fagen ARE Steely Dan. He played guitar and bass on all of their records.
Just as Paul McCartney was the bass player on Beatles hit records. No other contributions at all.
Lol you’re out of your depths with this comment
