As a someone who grew up in the '60s (I'm 62 now), Amy Winehouse reminds me so much of the late Janis Joplin. Both had sexy, unique, passionate, blues based voices, music, internal emotional/spiritual conflicts, life time struggles with substance abuse, and premature deaths at age 27 from OD. Such tragedy....Others passing at 27 included the legendary Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison (Doors), blues legend, Robert Johnson, and more. Always makes me weep to see great artists self destruct.

It's amazing how so many people had so many evil things to say about her and then when she passes, it's all butterflies and daisies. People are so fake nowadays.

Amy prefered the smaller clubs. And if her agents and promoter's could have let it be, and not put so much stress on her to do the big concerts and crap. And if the media could have left her alone. Maybe she'd still be with us. We'll miss her.
