- Hi guys! In today's video, I am painting on plates 🍽. I painted all different types of flowers on these plates using Folk Art Enamel Paint for glass. Cabbage roses, Hydrangeas, Sunflowers, rose buds, etc. Hope you like it!

Hi, my name is Marissa (AKA Bellamena)! Making videos about art is my favorite thing to do. I'm not a professional artist or anything (I'm actually a Computer Scientist 🤓) , but I have a lot of fun trying to make stuff look cute. I always wanted to try to paint on plates. Maybe even customize a tea set.

I’ve never been in a sunflower field but sunflowers will always and forever be my favorite flowers, I love them so much and they are super cheery :D 🌻

I love the plates! Look up Donna Dewberry painting. She does the same style of two tone colors on brushes as well. I’d displayed those plates in my home for sure. Make sure you sign and date the backs. I do believe if you wanted to put food on them (like cookies) mod podge had a safe to eat off glaze you could try.

I feel like the vines on sunflowers is the most realistic one. The sunflowers are a great support for vines and have a wonderful relationship with each other.
Gorgeous flowers!! 🥰 Since bees are struggling, you made a great argument for growing sunflowers!! 🐝🌻 I lived in North Dakota, and they grew Sunflowers by the section!! 🤗 They were stunning!! 💞 Never entered a field, though!! 😉 Your roses are beautiful!! 🌹 Hopefully, you use plate hangers to put these in your new art space!!🫂

I wouldn't have guessed that the furniture piece was a phone table, and I'm 34, so I remember phone tables. But I just saw it as a cute little side table. The phone tables I'm more used to are the ones with an attached seat, so you can sit and have a long conversation on a corded phone. (Yes, I'm that old.)
Your flowers are gorgeous! ❤ That's actually really funny that you don't like sunflowers, they're my mom's absolute favorite so we grow them in the garden every year and I love they attract bees. But my mom hates pentunias and they're one of my favorites😂

Merissa the plates look amazing! Today I got an idea, the past two years I have been making Christmas ornaments for My friends and family. And I'm pretty good at it if I do say so myself, witch I don't cause everyone agrees with Me that My ornaments could tell for 7 dollars at least. Anyway I thought if I buy a lot of clay and start making ornaments now I could have at least 40 by Christmas. So that's what I'm going to start on probably tomorrow. Oh also after I watched your video from two weeks ago I tried painting flowers the way you painted them. And it actually worked! I was so surprised, but they didn't look as good as yours.

I was born in 1980 and I am a subscriber!😂❤ I also knew it was for a phone. Cell phones were not a thing until I was in college. I mean they were a thing, but they were for calling and texting and they were not smart and not eEveryone had them and when I got mine in college it was like a big thing.

this is such a random thing to say, but i’ve been watching ur art journal series’ and i realized u critique the SMALLEST mistakes u make in ur art. ur art always looks sm better than u describe it to be lol.
3:33 Your leaves that are the same color as the main flower always end up looking like rosebuds to me. I know you call them leaves, but your big flower looks like a blooming rose, the smaller flowers looks like roses just starting to open so then the “leaves” end up, looking like rosebuds. At least that’s my perspective. I love the way you do the whole thing anyways. Just thought I would share my perspective with you.

Bees are very important for the environment though, they are the best pollinators! In america bees are oftend treated badly. oftend whole beestocks are just thrown away only used once for pollination and killed off when they turn into a problem for people. A bee stock can last several years and you can produce real honey with them, use them as pollinators and so on. I know a bee sting can hurt and I am actually terribly affraid of getting stung by bugs, bee and so on. Still, if you don't provoke them they normally don't sting you. I just wouldn't advise you to walk into a field of flowers, that of course will increase the risk of getting stung xD just imagine having to get food for your queen and offspring and then being nearly squished to death so that someone can get a pretty picture... I'd sting them too if I could😂
