Hi, Very interesting and good video. Can you please align the volume of the music and your speak. I have to turn the volume up and down when I see your videos. Thanks Keep up the great work.
I’d have covered up those front seats, dropping bits of cut sheet metal down onto the back could cut the material. I love how you’ve spent ages getting it in the correct position. Looks great, what a fantastic modification
Hi there great job, it turned out very professional. I’m looking to execute a similar mod. Can you share where you got the double glazed glass and frame? What’s the product brand? Thank you in advance and keep up the good work. Already subscribed.
Also... I notice a lot of comments about the audio and I agree. You usually want the vocals on video to be around -12db on the audio waveform monitor. Background music is at around the -18dB level and you may still want to lower the volume whenever you talk (called ducking). Some editing programs have an auto ducking feature that does most of the work for you and you just adjust to your liking. Hope that helps.
Sam - Juice Motors I could see that happening😂 love the panoramic though I would love to get panoramic on the windows and sunroof it makes it look so much more expensive. Nice work👍
Excellent video. All of them are. I now want a defender. The only (very minor) critism I would make is I'd have draped some heavy blankets or similar over those expensive looking corbeaus... When that first but of metal fell down I had visions of the sharp edges slashing the seat
Looks like you did an AMAZING JOB. How do you calculate the COST OF LABOR ALONE??? Since I'm assuming that's the only $$ your walking away with. And this project looks like it cost you an entire weekend.
Sam this is top quality work. I have some projects that need your attention. Love the content. I appreciate this is an old vid but is hugely enjoyable. Cheers
Well, after watching about 6 hours of your content.. you've earned the ol subscribe from me 😎 also now I'm about to buy a defender. Look what you've done!
Hi, mine came factory lined in alcantare (probably not the correct spelling), which I believe is synthetic suede, is this that, or is this real cow suede, and if it is, aren’t you worried about it growing ‘things’ because of land rovers special approach to being water proof? Superb job though.
cool video. Not a fan of the suede headliner, as I'd be way too ocd about the grain not being uniform anytime someone touched it but other than that it's a cool mod. Some genius chemically welded the sunroof seal to the roof on my old pajero that I bought a few months ago and I'm thinking about just cutting it out and doing something similar to this.
Hello from the US thank you for this video I'll be using this as a template to make one for an e30 bmw as a replacement for the rusty sunroof. It won't open but it'll still have the light
@@safnaf3443 so it went well you'll need to remove the old sunroof and get lexan thick enough to match the sunroof and cut to size of the outside diameter and lay out to it rests on the inside cut out and use windscreen fitting form a glass shop to press in an weather seal like a regular windscreen
Hi buddy, really enjoying your videos, as much as I love defenders for my sins I have a late P38 Range Rover that I do a lot of work on myself so wondering if you will be including them in your work? Tom
I would hazard a guess at a pile of tigerseal or polyurethane in the gaps. May have been better to install a flat roof instead? But as long as it's done neat, filling the gaps with sealant would work.
The frame is deep enough that it clears the undulating sections of the roof. But yes essentially you nearly fill that gaps between the frame with windscreen bond
I love the idea and the execution really neat!! I tried looking online for the glass you used to put on my own defender but couldn’t find it! Any help with that:)
Nice job, well done and a good video! Nice to see I am not the only one who neglects to clean the roof of his truck! Those spacers you fitted between the frame and the skin, to prevent rattle, did they come with the kit or did you make them up yourself? Your music volume is really annoying, it is 1000 times louder than the narration after about 5 minutes I am having to skip and fast forward, it is unbearable to watch / listen. I was waiting to see if there was going to some blood spurting and a leg drop off when you were cutting the headliner, looked a bit iffy! That black suede looks great, probably worth more than the current Chinese / Indian Land Rovers they are building these days.
Well... I don’t get it... Your channel is informative, funny and interesting technical ... where someone can actually learn stuff..... So why does this channel only have like 12.000 subscribers ..?🤔
Funny watching you cut the headliner. Waiting for you legs to fall on the floor after you cut through them. Great install
It's important to always cut toward one's self.
Great way to look up... and see the roof rack 😂
Same applies to LR sunroof

From morocco ,you are genius, nice work!
What are incredible video brilliant brilliant. That one time looks spectacular now. 👍👍🇬🇧👍
You popped a sunroof into my 90 XS - very impresed by the quailty of workmanship

Did you end up doing it? If so, where did you get the parts from? Thanks!

Farmers all across the Uk are drooling over this
Reuben Bunter the farmer actually asked what I was doing, after I told him he shook his head and muttered “TART” under his breath and walked off 😂

So jealous. Looks stunning! Great video. Next please!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
this is amazing and looks so professionally done you would think it had come from factory like this well done
That is so cool I'm beginning to regret fitting the roof tent I've only just finished !
Mate that is UNREAL!!!! Love this

looks great, I just wonder if it will last long in defender, all body is working so hard in this car.
Simply love your vids! Very creative 👌
11:20 I really though we were gonna see blood...🤣
OMG.... that's outstanding... New sub and loving what I've seen so far....
Well...
She looks absolutely great 👍
Good job sir... lot of work and nice attention to details 💪
Hi there, love ur work... wanted to know if there’s version of this for Defender 90...
Oh man, I want this in my T5 Transporter now.
Amazing video brother but I can not find anyone to do this job on my 110 P400 SE! Any recommendations?

Wow 🤩. Please can you help me i am new in car things.where did you purchased the set?
Very neat but @11.07 i though you were going to go through yer knee.
Out of interest how does the framework seal around the ridges on the roof?
I was asking myself the same question
great video! where did you get the glass roof from? What brand is it?
Great job sir!!!!
Handsome job mate , just wondering where did you get the frame and the glass ?
Great job buddy, I will now attempt to do my one unfortunately it’s on my old escort van 🤣🤣

Haha thank you Michael!
you make it look it's easy, if I would have to do it, we would end up with a broken car with a hole in a roof and some parts.
That suede looks so good along with the glass roof - starting to make a list to give you and I don’t even have a Defender (yet) 🤣

Hey man just curious on where you purchased the glass. I want to do this to my 110

Could you fit one of these on my volvo c30 🤔 doesnt need to pop up just let light in. Or two small ones, one after the other.
Great video, what is the price for a LHD 110 defender ?
now it is waiting for your DEF! )
Link to the glass?
Does having the glass double-glazed mitigate for a potential leaking sunroof?
Hi buddy, really enjoying your videos, as much as I love defenders for my sins I have a late P38 Range Rover that I do a lot of work on myself so wondering if you will be including them in your work? Tom
might be a stupid question, however, how did you deal with the undulating roof section to the rear of the vehicle, with regards to weathersealing?
I would hazard a guess at a pile of tigerseal or polyurethane in the gaps. May have been better to install a flat roof instead? But as long as it's done neat, filling the gaps with sealant would work.

Nice bro
I'm wondering how well the frame sealed against an external ribbed roof
Nice! But I feel it lost bit of strength on the roof????? Looks nice though!
Wish you would have shown how to get the markings/measurements for cutting.
Hi, can you tell me the name of the headliner that you used ? Thank you!
Goggles!! Man
Can we get the products used. Equipment? I’d like to do something similar.
U have Landover factory hands mate

Where can I buy the frame and the glass ?
Your voice is so low and your music so loud
Where can I buy this kit?
Great video
It's been a year
Any leaks?
Hi,great conent but your music as at a different level, please try for us old farts..regards Peter
What is this kit? Where did you get it?
do you do it for customers too
Do you need to declare this mod to the dvla?
seriously, u need to improve your sound recording, music too loud, can't hear what you say
Lmao cant relate
Where can I buy this? I want one on my Land Rover 110 😀
Wow
I just sound deadened my 80 series LC. Dropping the headliner was easily the most aggravating part.
Are these Defender 110 / 90 allowed in the US ? (Emissions)
It would be better to glue the roof metal to the beam. You could use the same glue as you used to glue the frame.
This doesn't effect the strength of the frame?
What about the shead?
Amazing video mate love your IG content , keep up the awsome work 👌🏻how much would you charge to do a suede roof on a 90 ????
HD SG hey thanks for the comments! Send me a DM on IG for a quotation 🙏🏻
@@juicemotors is it possible to install a electronically retractaible pan roof on the 110 defender?
what's going on with the ranger there, we want to see mods on this as well! :D
where to get this sunroof kit??
Can you sort out that flashing security light outside your workshop, lol
This would seem to be asking for a heap of problems relating to things like structural rigidity, heat and leaks.
Not if installed correctly, it increases the roof rigidity and doesn’t leak 👍🏻
Is there some sort of shade that you can roll in there?
Andrew Bolton it’s already covered with the small dot effect so no glare, just pure light into the cabin
Should I do this to a 2015 f150🤔
Yes
