Rubberised Bitumen is what you want. Goes on like paint then solidifies into the gum you're looking for. Works as an adhesive, sealant ect.
The Triple panoramic glasses have made it look so adorable! Am in Africa and would wish to have you start up something like, we got so many Land Rover Defenders that would need revamping.

Another great video. Thanks for that! The new glass panels look fantastic. I'm not convinced that the remedy to the leaking corner will last although I'm not sure exactly how it was done. Sealing it from the inside wouldn't stop the water from getting under the frame on the outside, it only stops the last part where the water leaks in. I'm thinking that over time and winter weather, the water that gets under the outer frame will freeze/expand/contract and will open up that point again. As I said, I don't know the detail of the repair, and I'm definitely not an expert on this type of work. It was just a thought that occurred to me. Fantastic result though - looks amazing!

Freekin awesome!! my own 110 has undergone a V8 conversion and lots of other mods.. I was asked if I wanted a pano roof.. I said no, but after seeing what you've achieved I could change my mind. Great video! Love watching your work!
Truly enjoy the videos, well put together and always make for great easy yet informative watching. The lengths we can go to modding our defenders is insane, love the windows. I'm sure the denser, heavier double glazing glass makes for a quieter cabin whilst driving, certainly should be an improvement to that of the thin aluminium roof of a standard 110 😂 keep the videos coming 💪

Great job.Would you consider fitting window blinds similar to those in the Discovery 4 roof? I see by the Bluebells in flower that this roof was fitted a couple of months ago, with our present July heat wave the cabin might be too hot.

I wouldn't necessarily add panoramic glass but on camera it is discreet and in fitting with the look of the defender. I can't wait to see a LS3 conversion. LS3 and an off roader, what a combination.
The inside feels very softy softy with the pano roofs. I guess that's why the lavender background at the end really made sense. But I can see how some would really dig that feeling of a ton of windows. Feels like one of those fancy cross country trains.

This is a real British Custom - English style! The rear side windows look very cool without frames, as if a cast body, I liked that its engine is gasoline, powerful!

I love the look, really lovely. The amount of extra light is amazing. I would shy away from this mod on my own Landy only because sometimes sunroofs can be a bit of a time trap.

You cannot test Watertightness like that - because:
There is a strong (!) low pressure zone on the roof while driving.
=> the glas will be pulled up a big, which effects the sealing.
At least it is a start...

What a great job, but that wouldn’t work for us here in Australia, we have too much heat with the sun belting down on that roof it would be like a greenhouse, but I suppose it’s good for the UK.

And to be fair that was probably the newest type of sound insulation at the time they have been doing it a fair while. But would love to know what it was like underneath nearly went to them to do a few jobs on mine as only live up the road from them. But the man on the phone was so rude did not bother. Glad
A pressure washer with a jet velocity of 70MPH would have gone well towards convincing to me, but tipping a bucket of water over it? C'mon, be serious......
I’m not here to convince or illude anyone. We pressure washed it at the end of the video but even then I’m not going to point a pressure washer directly at the sealant, that’s slightly excessive. We’re concerned about rain water leaks not deliberate attempts to destroy our hard work to satiate those few disbelievers
Very nice indeed,, if it was mine I might have wanted a cage but it would detract from the light interior. Easy to be gobsmacked by the conversion costs but the Range Rover SVR seems dull in comparison...
Its nice great job but.. how was the roof finished with the dynamic grooves? Did you silicone it? Or did you fiberglass the roof over?
