This was such a great tutorial!! I'm very new to crotchet and all granny square's I have tried to make end up messed up in some way. This was the first square that actually looks like it's supposed to!! You are very good at explaining and easy to follow :)

I got really confused as to which holes to put the hook into after the first round. After a few times watching I realized it was the 4 corner holes (I honestly feel like I effed up and accidentally created more holes and therefore confused myself as to which holes I was supposed to be double crocheting into) but nonetheless, I feel like it would have been helpful if during that second round you said you're crocheting into the 4 corner holes, not just "the next hole". Just a suggestion from a brand new crocheter. I did a decent job once I figured that out, so everything else was amazing. Thank you so much for your guidance.

It’s actually called a giant granny square tutorial but you can make it to any size you like and it does show the colour changes if you fast forward to the end of the rounds. I do hope it helps but do let me know if you have any issues 🙂

Do you need to keep turning over your work when making a granny square blanket

I recommend it because it prevents the square from skewing. I explain why this is in my Giant Granny Square tutorial.

    Less hand movement would help
