Bro no you went too far with this. 1. This is not explosive bc its neither stable nor fast. You cant explode bc you would fall. 2. This is not a squat. Gravity points down. 3. The load from this is neither progressive nor standardised enough to actually track any kind of progress. 4. This does NOT burn an appreciable amount of calories for the effort put in compared to any actual cardio exercise like running or rowing.
You might have some shoulder mobility issues there buddy, you should try doing some mobility exercises and if you're still feeling pain or discomfort, speak to a specialist.
This is a yoga push up. Called a dand. Its an exercise usually combined with sit ups its called dand baithak and somewhat resembles a burpee that ends with this kind of push up.
The original Mike Tyson push-ups are in a similar position except for the toes of your feet are not touching the ground this is this is 10 times harder to do
accidentally been doing these.... My elbow is very clicky when I push up, but not always.. plus I can feel my shoulderblades almost connecting when I do tight arm push ups and it feels weird... any advice anyone? I've been accidently doing calisthenics stuff without realising it lol... I can't do proper push ups consistently yet so I spend a lot of time just moving my body weight around and holding poses and planks But push ups are Crunchy on my elbow 😔
I use to come from the weight pit then do cardio them was my favorite in I'll add push up then go into the squat if u trying to get big do Tysons push ups
Yeah it is for me. One of my favourite HIIT is 5mins of skipping and 10-15reps of MT push ups. I normally do 3 sets of this and end with a 5mins of stretching. It only took 30mins.
This is in Surya namaskar in yoga and the Hindu pushups invented by ancient warriors. Not gonna lie, the Mike Tyson pushup is just a variation of that, to be honest. I started doing them a month ago, and I've already noticed some changes, like increased strength and endurance.
1000% certain that you do not regularly do this exercise and made this video because the term “mike Tyson” is pertinent now. Propaganda. Whether or not this is a legit exercise. You just REALLY DESPERATELY needed to say “Mike Tyson” in your video
One of the best things this does is it hits most of the small ends of the muscles and the connective tissues in the shoulder. Strengthening them at multiple angles which is great for injury prevention and gives you strength at those varying angles. I would suggest everyone be able to do 3 sets of 10 and do them PRIOR to any other upper body workout.
@ it is buddy, its called "ardha surya namaskar" when you do it like a pushup. It is still a staple exercise in the gym , where you will have specific foot rest to jam your feet so you could do it right from the bottom of the range. I know this because me and my friend Afzal use to love these and hand a deep discussion on how this exercise evolved. Both of us did a research on the thoroughly to master the technique so that full body can be trained as warmup or if it's a holiday we could do it at home or in a hotel on a vacation.
@@shree397 it’s not Ardha Surya Namaskar brother. It’s a variation of pushup a sort of progressive push-up variation. Ardha Surya Namaskar is different from this pushup. I get that it reminded you of Ardha Surya Namaskar because of its posture, but it does have a lot of difference than similarities with Ardha Surya Namaskar.
Checkout the related video for a full breakdown of the Mike Tyson Push-Up 👍🏻
Technically, it's a full-body movement, but it's simply too light to train strength past the beginner stage. I do it mostly for cardio.
backpack with something heavy
Do it more slowly.
Add weight to yourself.
Do it at a more challenging angle.
So many ways to make it a strength excersize
Do sets of 50 than come again.... if you can still type.
Aint no way mike has a push up named after him 💀
he doesn't, its just influencers calling it that to get likes. its called a rocker pushup and is nothing new.
Should be
@@insidiousmaximusit's because he used to do these in a jail cell back in the day to stay in shape..
Am happy for Mike Tyson. He deserves a push up named after him
@@insidiousmaximus a rocker pushup doesn't use a wall

I totally agree with this, this is not an exercise I would do regardless lol
Mike Tyson push up, navy seal burpees.
Strict form pull up.
There's a certain beauty in the way you execute the movement
I feel extreme shoulder pain on this and this only.
You don't have to do it bro it's ok 😊
It could be a bad Warmup issue.
Maybe work on shoulder mobility.
Or try back to wall handstand to strengthen the area.
Weak
You might have some shoulder mobility issues there buddy, you should try doing some mobility exercises and if you're still feeling pain or discomfort, speak to a specialist.
tf u mean weak its a serious issue @@YRO.
I love them slow and you can overload them so much if you really push your feet against the wall
Amazing as a warmup before weight lifting.
Thanks for the explanation
That looks great, will absolutely put it in, thanks.
Please make Full video on it
My delts are insane from doing these. Started with sets of 10, now I can do 40.
Thx for the reminder! 👍
Definitely doing this
Originally known as hindu pushup, and in india called hanuman pushup.
love it!
This is a yoga push up. Called a dand. Its an exercise usually combined with sit ups its called dand baithak and somewhat resembles a burpee that ends with this kind of push up.

Come on they had a mike Tyson back in ancient Greece 😂😂😂
I'll try it.
1 Diddy 2 Diddy 3 diddy
How to do this without shoulder pain?
Feels like the tendons in there are fraying when doing these
Shoulder mobility very low
I’d try adding dead hangs. It’s worked over any stretching for me and keeps them feeling great.
How important is it to keep your head down when you go back?
I got strong at normal press ups from doing these for a week
Tyson was definitely not known for cardio and endurance... power, this helps connective tissue and force output... very functional
accidentally been doing these....
My elbow is very clicky when I push up, but not always.. plus I can feel my shoulderblades almost connecting when I do tight arm push ups and it feels weird... any advice anyone?
I've been accidently doing calisthenics stuff without realising it lol... I can't do proper push ups consistently yet so I spend a lot of time just moving my body weight around and holding poses and planks
But push ups are Crunchy on my elbow 😔
I'ma try this
'Pushup
Myke Tysin
Pushup
Myke Tysin'
The shivering of legs...!🙄. Gonna try 🤘
I've been doing this since I was young but without the wall. Is the wall change it up? Gonna go see The difference myself.
He learned that while he was in prison, therefore the actual name is PRISON PUSHUPS!
This is called Surya-namaskar in India , we have been doing this from ages .
Are you in Los Angeles? Can I hire you?
I use to come from the weight pit then do cardio them was my favorite in I'll add push up then go into the squat if u trying to get big do Tysons push ups
Bro try Indian sapatte.
The Mike Tyson push ups targets the whole entire body like Biceps and triceps, Back, Core and shoulders and chest, and leg's like a full body workout?
Not really. The upper part mostly

this looks like its gonna give me the ouchies
Meanwhile Hanuman dhand 😑🔥
Females need to see this and learn
That's like hanuman dand.. HINDU PUSHUP
It’s cardio that fatigues the muscles a great deal lt looks like
Jesus, head rush.
It looks like a spin off of the hindu pushups
Why's it called the Mike Tyson though 💀
Someone online decided to call an existing push up style after him. Tyson has yet to comment
I don't know, I feel there must be better exercises to target the same muscles, this doesn't look efficient to me
This is in Surya namaskar in yoga and the Hindu pushups invented by ancient warriors. Not gonna lie, the Mike Tyson pushup is just a variation of that, to be honest.

lift your leg little bit around 20 cm on the wall
It gets that name since it makes you tired and unable to move afterwards.
Did Mike ever do this?
💯
On to box....
I torn my back muscle
Wait this is NOT what I thought a mike tyson pushup is I've been lying to people😭 (I thought it was js a normal pushup but ur legs are on a wall)
You were yapping all the time then
@Daniyal-BlockmanGo yeah bro
Bro casually spreading misinformation
do this pushup if you want to lose to Jake paul
How can a person with one missing leg can do it?
Basically above knee amputation
Genuinely asking what can be used to support residual limb
One half of a snooker que
Transform you 😂
Takes a bit more than one body weight movement
It’s called a Namaskar dand from Indian old school physical training patterns……not Mike Tyson push up…….. don’t believe me?????? look it up
They teach this on yoga lessons
That makes zero sense, feels gimmicky. The "aquat" offers no resistance since it's perpendicular to the line of gravity.
Never tried it and I get your point, but I'd recommend you try it before you make up your mind. I imagine it being tough on your quads
Try hindu pushups its similar and more better for mobility
Mike never did these, but keep it up
I think Mike Tyson needs to actually do those push ups
1000% certain that you do not regularly do this exercise and made this video because the term “mike Tyson” is pertinent now. Propaganda. Whether or not this is a legit exercise. You just REALLY DESPERATELY needed to say “Mike Tyson” in your video
Just do sapate or Hindu Push ups
Just do burpees for that matter.
Sapate will work than burpees @@jayr485
And who so you think can do these bro ... 1%of the population , even less😅
Would advise you to explore hindu push up once
😂Indians doing since ages
You mean a roacher pushup?
Don’t call it that anymore
Fancy, doesn't work.
