Yes Goshawks are great hunters especially in wooded areas like we have around here. I know Siberian Goshawks are popular right now among falconers in the US because of their large size and beautiful white plumage. I had a Finnish Goshawk many years ago and that was enough 😂 They are incredible birds but I don’t really like how their brains work. Too much instinct… too little thinking.
@@Bird-friend Yes indeed the most kept birds here in Pakistan are Shikra which is the least small bird followed by basha Sparrowhawk followed by Goshawk. So this is the fastest bird that the pheasant hunts with
Interesting! Thanks for sharing and watching! I’d say Harris hawks and red tailed hawks are the most popular falconry birds here. I know the white Gyr falcons that the big breeders ( CITIES registered 50+ pairs) hatch typically get shipped to your side of the world for falconry.
