For anyone else who struggled taking off the rotor, open the plug on the rotor and rotate the spinning wheel with a flat head downwards. The wheel is at the six o clock position. In the event you can't spin your rotors, grab a 2x4 and place it between the studs and force it to spin to the correct position.
It's very refreshing when people know how to make a video without the stories. Thank you sir! Question after pumping the brakes should I drive it and apply the brakes several times really hard to further prep the brakes?
That was a good video. But I didn't see him crack the master cylinder or use the bleed when compressing the caliper piston. Anyone know if there's a possibility of blowing out the master cylinder or a seal if you just compressing it?
My father in law was a mechanic he said don’t use break cleaner it leaves a residue and can mess up the pads he said use lacquer thinner to clean the rotors
Heavy Rust or the last Tech installed the bracket mounting bolts way above the Torque Spec. ( A 22oz Monster & your girlfriend leaving you - makes the tech gorilla strong ). Rear bracket bolts are 70 ft lbs, rear slide pin bolts are 20 ft lbs. (Highlander 2014-2016 ) Certain model years, brakes are the same for 2010-2019 Highlanders & Siennas.
Great video, i did my breaks on my toyota sienna 2014. I replaced with ceramic pad to keep my wheels free of break dust.

Best detailed video on the Sienna rear brake and rotor change. My rotors felt like they wouldn't come off.
Very good video. Showed every step and explained each one.
Great explanation for the rear rotors on how they have to be mounted back. I’ve seen a lot of other videos and none as yours. Great job!
Great video! Made doing my rear rotors for the first time on my Sienna super easy. Mechanic wanted to charge me $400 😂
Thanks for the clear and well detailed video! I feel more confident in changing my own brakes now
Better than pounding on the rounder to break it, you can screw in a bolt into the holes to break it free.
This is what I do. Go two of them in my tool chest
I see hammerheads all the time. 😆
Great video! Thanks for the step by step instructions!

Great video...thanks for sharing.
What if I pulled off the rear rotor and a couple of pins dropped out? The pins almost look like nails, but with pinched tips.
Thanks Chief!
I think at the end you have to pump it up the brakes pedal before to start the car. You did it the opposite way.
Why does my 2015 sienna only have rotors and not the drum combo? It’s awd ?
What brake brake did you get?
Thanks for the video, great details! Do you know the torque specs for the 14 mm and the 17 mm bolts?
Great video
Great video thank you
Should I be worried about the torque specs?? Great video! Thank you
good video thanks!
Thanks
Is Toyota Sienna 2014 rear brake replacement the sam as 2015?
Yes
How about 2016???
I couldnt get enough leverage to break free the bracket bolts :(

"Hand thread them in by hand..." LOL.
What else would you do Einstein?
@@syoung20001 I would only hand thread them in with a hand, nothing else, sorry I was not clear a year ago when I make the comment.
Pump the brakes before you start
