Water looks beautiful...and surroundings. I used to surf the Strait in Wa. state, etc. for some 12 years...live in southern Vietnam now. The cold temps were just part of being immersed in a pristine wilderness, but it's been about 9 years since...enjoy!
Thank you! I haven't spent much time surfing on that side of the straight but I would love to get back down there one day. The vibe down there is so magical and I can imagine back in those days it was even that much more surreal!
My favourite place to surf as a beginner. My knowledge of how/why isn't really there, but I feel like the waves on the right side of Cox bay are so easy to catch and ride.
That's awesome! I'm glad you've gotten some good waves there as well! Although it can be easy and somewhat beginner friendly on the right day, I have to say as a disclaimer to anyone wondering that there are a lot of days when it's sizeable, crowded and/or when the rip current is strong where it is not suitable for beginners. You definitely want to have a solid knowledge of rips, how to duck dive and respectfully navigate a crowded and lineup before attempting to surf in that particular spot on the beach.

Nice sunny day too right on!
A rare day where it's real sunshine and not liquid sunshine! 😂😅☔
Love it! Feels like I'm surfing but not getting wet!
Sick point breack!
Believe it or not it's not actually a true point break! It just sometimes happens to line up like one when the perfect swell, wind and tide combine.
