This is totally a Home Free song now. Every sound to come out of their mouth is perfection. I can barely take my eyes off of Adam because you just never know what gem he's gonna come up with next. They never let us down.
Check the smirk Tim gets on his face when he does the last low note. 😜
The more I hear of Chance, the more I love his voice. They know how to put him on songs that really showcase him. The rest of the group, phenomenal as usual. I loved that little devilish grin Tim gave when he hit that super low note.
Not only that but they also give him a chance to go really low from time to time. Like in Mayday.

I swear sometimes Austin’s voice sounds like a harmonica, the notes he hits! I watched while he was singing it and my jaw dropped.
He does a great harmonica on the live version of man of cunstant sorrow

Quarantine has also opened them up to pieces that they do not HAVE to make into staged pieces. They're playing around more, and working more than I have ever seen on making each piece work specifically as music rather than as "acapella music." I love Pentatonics and Voiceplay, among others, but they have a tendency to make their arrangements MORE about "look at our vocal harmonies," than about "Listen to this incredible song." Home Free is more and more and more focused on making you think, "OMG, listen to this AMAZING song!" and only then stop and say, "SUMBITCH! It's ACAPELLA!" And they're getting better and better at understanding what a particular interpretation of a song needs to feel integrated and whole.

I think you are completely correct. Their music was sounding more mainstream, Wow, have they ever done a great reversal and I LOVE this new music.

You got your wishes! Well, Chance sang 2 verses, Tim dropped a low E1, and Adam did his usual magic tricks! Austin and Rob did their harmonies!! I have never been a big Johnny Cash music, but the guys always bring their own spin in each cover they do! Love this one! I agree that they have really upped their game during the quarantine!! I do think they continue to get better and I am so thankful. I think their creativity has truly grown in 2020. They’ve taken the challenges we’ve all faced and turned them into their own brand of sweet, special lemonade!!!

Of course they are getting better. Because they have to do these quarantine sessions in different locations, they have to know how to have perfect timing to sync with the other guys. They do a fantastic job with just that. And, practice makes perfect.

All of their vocals represented the sounds that a train makes, from Austins vocal runs sound like the whistle of the train engine, the clap-clap that Adam does sounds like the wheels go over the split in the track, etc. Listen to it again and see if I'm wrong. Also, look at the height measurement, I'm sure that Austin is taller than 5 ft. LOL Lots of visual gags.
Home Free has not skipped a step during COVID-in fact, IMO, they sound just as or more awesome and their creativity has been a huge wow. Sometimes I even forget they are not together! I've seen them many times in concert and one of the only groups who sound as amazing live, but their real treat to the audience is that they are true entertainers!

If you check Rob's Instagram, he was chatting to Tim while we were waiting for the premiere, and one of the things he was talking about was his low notes on this one - I don't know if it'll stick around, or is a story that'll disappear after 24 hours.

All of them did so well together and yes I believe they are doing well with the quarantine videos. It's got to be a hard thing to put together I would think, but everyone is doing awesome with it and cranking out some great videos for us during this quarantine.

Well I am following you guys on my 3rd Home Free number via the Dimash route. I thought being a huge fan of the Sun Record artists Presley, Cash and Perkins I would be defensive, but hey !! Home Free were excellent, and absolutely top notch on first hearing. . Really enjoyed the train sounds made here, a staple diet of many Country type songs in that era.

Tim's not the only one in that group with some lower notes. I really enjoy this cover though it doesn't surpass the original in my book.
With quarantine (for me) it's been up & down but at least we're getting them every week. Now this is just my opinion but There's been a few that are towards my least fav from them this yr but there's also some in my top fav of all time! I didn't think any songs could get near my favorites like "Ring of fire" "Elvira" ect. But I love "Flowers on the wall" "meet in the middle" "down to the honky tonk" ect. Sry this was allot I'm done now lol Great reaction

I love this song, they did great but for once it's not any where near my favorite from them. They changed it up big time (just like ring of fire) but unlike ring of fire I don't think this is 1 of their best. It's still good tho. I keep rewatching those Low notes lol
