ElyLemus To be fair, I really liked Cars 3. But I did really like the first one so I don't know. I did see Captain Underpants. Thought it was hilarious, but did lack in the emotional moments.
Love that John has his own channel as his opinions are well thought out, explained and interesting as they where quite long and sometimes condescending in movie talk. Keep it up.
hey John I just wanted to let you know I appreciate the constant content and the consistency I'm sure you'll be at 100K subscribers soon. Very proud of your success keep up the great work
Am I the only one who loves all the content John is putting out? I think leaving Collider is better for him. Also it's kinda better for me. I'd rather watch John for 30 minutes or so over Collider which is 40+ minutes.
Dammit Aaron ...Agreed! Always felt Johns thoughts were the best. I like the Collider crew, but in the end it was always John's perspective I listened for... Sad he left Collider, Not intentionally or anything, but I end up watching less of their material when he's gone from there... any way love all this good ol Campea content.
I actually didn't think that the original Balthazar-centric trailer was lame at all. I thought it was AWESOME! He was like a villainous Starlord, with the dancing and "HEIST MUSIC!!!"
Haven't seen Despicable 3 yet (have tickets for tomorrow), but if the movie doesn't live up to the first and second movie I still think they should make a fourth one. I mean, if that one is good, I would see it as one step back and two steps forward. But if the fourth one is even worse, then I would say that you shouldn't make a fifth one.
Man, I really miss your classic review format where it's just you and the camera with no jumpcuts in between. I get this is probably easier to do but since every other movie reviewer nowadays uses jumpcuts, it would be unique. But at least it's not Jeremy jahns level of jumpcuts where I can barely understand what he's saying because there seems to be a cut every millisecond.
I haven't met one kid that hated the Minions movie.. as far as target audience it was a success. I know kids movies can be smart as well but your talking about characters that speak gibberish there.
0:12 We know that John. You have literally said it about 100 times in the last year. You repeat yourself way too much. Thats not hate by the way, its feedback.
With films like Cars 3 and Despicable Me 3 no one really cares about Captain Underpants which is a shame because its actually a really good movie.
ElyLemus the sad thing is captain underpants is definitely better than both of those movies

ElyLemus EXACTLY

Thanks for continuing to get videos out despite how difficult things have been for you recently.
"I don't like using jump cuts, they're cheap and easy"

very true. getting bored of much of the others.

I like Collider but sometimes I get tired of everyone over there trying to be the funniest guy in the room.
I actually didn't think that the original Balthazar-centric trailer was lame at all. I thought it was AWESOME! He was like a villainous Starlord, with the dancing and "HEIST MUSIC!!!"
Just found your channel, like your reviews alot! Are you also gonna review My little Pony: The Movie? (serious question, I'm a fan of the series)

Thank you John for putting out so much quality content. Without you the film community on RUclips would not be half as good.
Your set up and presentation makes me feel like this is a review that plays on like Cable Tv menus
hey ,john I like this new style. it feels really smooth.
The only reason i watched movie talk was for John so i shall be sticking around here allot more.
Honestly I was onnly really hyped for Trey Parker
John adding abit of jahns flavour too it. Still not sure if that style suits him tho.
This review has the bacony smell of Canada all over it.

@JohnCampea Could you please add video to the podcast videos on RUclips and just export the audio to the podcast programs????
John what do you think about the penguins winning the cup again?
despicable me three greatness
Am I the only one who had a really good time with Minions?
I thought the minions were funny in their own film. I think my younger generation has a different sense of humor.
Why are you trying to forget Minions? That was a very enjoyable film!
Why did you leave Movie Talk ?
Still sounds like a good movie
Cheers John🍻 Keep up the great work!
