Rosie had a great show! She never forgot that she was also a part of the audience. A great human being.

RIP Helen 9/29/2020 “She was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother and a truly formidable woman. Our hearts are broken. But we take comfort in the knowledge that her voice will live on forever.”

I am in tears. I just found out Helen Reddy past away. What a lovely song " I am Woman " is ! Music today is just not the same. It's not just that it was a more innocent time back then. But music meant something back then it was more tasteful, more beautiful, more thought provoking. There were more ballads. Todays music is so hedonistic, trivial, self indulgent and uninspired. - Rest in peace Ms Reddy.

In 1973 when her song was out as a woman she made me feel strong. I’m sharing her song again in times like these that people asked what is a woman

Young girls today don’t realise how much Helen Reddy’s song I Am Woman really affected women in the 1970’s. Cause they are enjoying the rights today women in the 1960’s and 1970’s fought for them. While we haven’t stopped the Gender Pay Gap entirely. At least women know today. That when you enter a standard job, you will be paid the same as your male work colleagues. AND you are not expected to resign when you get married. My mother was expected to resign then. When she married Most were. You were actually sacked in most cases. You were seen as taking a job off a man if you remained working once married. Lots of women fought that disgusting discrimination. But a lot caved in at the pressure.

Helen Reddy aged so gracefully and I respected her for that.

How gracious of Ms. Helen Reddy to let Rosie O'Donnell sing her song alongside her.

Her singing voice reminds me of a cross between Julie Andrews and Doris Day, but I think she has the prettiest voice! My favorite singer of her era and style.

Interesting how we don't fully appreciate a talent until they're gone. I made that mistake with Barry White (never saw him live) and now Helen Reddy. Delta Dawn remains one of my favorite songs that strangely never gets old. Also I like how she sang about unpopular women such as Angie Baby. I am not woman but hey some guys loved Helen Reddy too.

So sad to learn of Helen Reddy's passing (Wed. Sept. 9, 2020). She was definitely a trailblazer for future female singers. It was a Joy to see her on the Rosie O'Donnell show. One of the best talk shows of the time, always had great talent on. Wasn't a fan when they went to the newer format.
