Strategy: focus energy, 3x drain punch, terastalize, stall the clock (drain punching occasionally, but leave at least 8 PP) until your stats get reset at 60% timer, 5-6 bulk ups, drain punch until shield breaks, optional 1-2 screeches, drain punch until blastoise resets its stats a 2nd time, optional 1-2 screeches, drain punch to victory
Notes: this strategy takes advantage of the fact that blastoise clears annihilapes stats when the clock strikes 60% and uses shell smash when its HP drops to 75%. the idea is to have the former happen first, and then get lots of bulk ups in before the latter. This way, when blastoise doubles its special attack with shell smash, annihilape can be sure to do plenty of damage to fill its HP bar each turn that it attacks.
Pros: supereffective tera type matching base type, excellent HP and atk stats, very good spef, outspeeds blastoise before it uses shell smash, drain punch deals damage and heals, focus energy + razor claw gives 100% chance of critical hit which counters blastoise's use of withdraw and iron defense, screech debuffs def quickly when the shield is down, bulk up buffs atk, no weaknesses
Cons: cannot debuff spatk or buff spdef, making annihilape very vulnerable near the end of the match when blastoise is at +2 spatk with the rain up using hydro pump. screech misses 15% of the time. can only buff one atk stage per turn. requires stalling the clock to avoid having his stats get wiped too close to the shell smash

If annihilape holds a razor claw and then uses focus energy, he gets a 100% chance of critical hit, which ignores the effects of iron defense

Do we need to focus energy again after getting stat reset?

No. If you use it before the stat reset and you don't get KO'd you retain the critical hit boost.
