I was nowhere near her size but I was 340 lbs and I'm now 135 and this is so infuriating! She took someone's space that truly wanted to lose the weight and wasted his time and effort as well as the hospital staff! She's so entitled and her husband isn't helping her. Even if she didn't eat a scrap of pizza he shouldn't be bringing that food to the weight loss center! I did it with hard work and eating right. She's not ready to get real and take this seriously.

Tough love is the only love. This couple doesn’t love each other they feed each other’s mental issues and stay together for that reason. If he really loved her he would Stand up for her to her and for their future and their kids future. I don’t see a lot of love in these shows except for the doctor. Loving someone is doing the right thing for them regardless of if they will like it.

It isn’t hard at all. Drawing a comparison between drug addiction and food addiction is misleading. A drug addict can’t give up without severe suffering, a food addict can easily start eating less and eat low-calorie food. I love food, but if I gain 20lbs - I start fasting, eat eggs, apples and buckwheat. No sugar or bread + walking and cycling. Most of these people start acting when it’s too late. 600lbs! What were they thinking when they were 300lbs??? “I’m fine!”??

@@vvannvv It is NOT hard. I know enough about how addiction works and the mechanisms that underpin it. The key is not discipline, but regulating hunger. Want to eat 4 burgers? Ok. Eat 5 apples first, wait for 15 minutes and see if you want to eat the 4 burgers. Hunger can be eliminated with low-calorie foods so you can actually have that one burger AND feel full.

I was severely underweight and had to eat 4000 calories a day to keep up with my metabolism, gain some weight, and nurse the baby. I never realized how hard it was to eat so much food until then. As a former chubby kid who always thought I gained weight just by breathing, I realized that gaining weight fairly quickly wasn’t easy.

The heavier you are ,the more pounds when you gain weight. A smaller person equivalent would probably be 5-10 lbs.

She likely doesn’t understand how MUCH she eats daily. Most people who get grossly overweight don’t. You don’t realize you’re eating 1000+ calories eating a few slices of pizza or a Cinnabon with extra frosting. So they might think they’re ‘cutting back’ by only eating a medium pizza instead of a large. They don’t understand that one slice is really all they’d be allowed for a meal when you’re on a 1500 calorie a day diet. I think they should be put in an inpatient class for the 1st week of the program, so they can learn what 1500 calorie a day looks like! I was overweight as a teen and it shocked me to find out how much I needed to cut back. I eventually lost 70 pounds and have now kept it off for 30 years. But it involves changing the whole way you think about food. She can do it!!

I think they give patients a strict diet plan and exercise routine to follow in order to lose weight. She probably made her own adjustments because I can imagine how much she’d have to cut down, and comfort eating is also emotional. Maybe she needs ongoing therapy as well. Its sad because she can help herself, but deep inside she’s not ready. You have to admit to your problems first in order to solve them.

I lost a lot of good years and I am not kidding when I say I absolutely should be dead. I cut it very close 3 times. Recovery is HARD. Especially because once you get sober you are immediately thrown into a life that's become a complete mess. Facing reality is the top reason why people relapse. The lost time, burned bridges, guilt, embarrassment, and financial crisis a newly sober person must deal with gets extremely overwhelming.
It's so important to take a moment to say something positive to a person in recovery. We need that very badly. You never know when you're supportive comment could be the difference between someone relapsing vs finding the strength to fight it.

The fact Dr. Now didn't hesitate to confront Freddie for attempting to cover up the situation is proof a nurse or multiple nurses there 1. caught him bringing the pizza to Schenee in the first place and 2. reported the entire act to Dr. Now immediately before Freddie and Schenee attempted to destroy evidence by putting the empty box in another pile of trash.
And Freddy is a huge enabler, he wants to keep her that way for his own benefit because she tskes care of him. Its sick!

I was at my worst at one point. I was 480 pounds and I was always at least 330 pounds before the lockdown. I had actually been eating a lot of junk food such as McDonald’s and Burger King; but I was at least getting up and walking. In fact before I just graduated I had lost 30 pounds and was at 300 even. I although in 2019 to 2020 the scale kept getting higher slowly. I then in 2022 of this year in January 480 pounds. I have been now personally getting in more exercise and even a personal trainer for 3 days a week. Although I have lost since January which was on the day before my birthday I found out, but anyway I was finally now a 47” waist which is at least almost back to where I was ( 370 or 350 pounds ) which is a 200 almost weight loss goal and I can’t believe I did it on my own! No surgery or anything. My work proves if you eat right, get out, and exercise; you can loose as much weight quickly and yet safely! ( I’m in my mid 20’s so that’s probably why it was faster ).
I had done: Keto. ( for 4 months ) Military Diet ( for 1 month every week ). Then just for the last month since May I’ve been seeing my trainer. He’s helped me also get physically stronger and w a y more active!
I am sooooo glad I turned my life around before I headed for the 500 pound mark.

Thank you. I thought I was going to be dead before I even hit 30 and that I was going to be fat forever, but I just did a l o t of online searching and stuff for Keto diets and the Military diet because I had enough and was tired of being tired.
Now before I was a 4XL and I’ll be going to the mall today to buy 2XL hoodies and size 47” jeans. Probably anime design related but overall my size is majorly different than ever before in along time.
I watched this episode the other day. Prior to that phone call and after this first scene Schenee spent about a month in the hospital and lost around 80 pounds or more. When she got off the scale she was smiling and laughing it was so nice to see that side of her because most of the episode she’s either feeling sorry for herself or being manipulative, condescending or rude. After leaving the hospital she gained it all back and then some. It’s crazy to see how people excel when they’re held accountable and surveyed but how they can fail and give up so easily when left to their own devices. Dr. Now put in a consult for Schenee to see a therapist too and she missed her first 3 appointments. When she finally went to one it was very helpful. That’s the big part with diet and exercise. It’s a mindset change. She wasn’t ready or willing to change her mindset. Food was still way more comforting than death was frightening for her.
Just watched the full episode. I have never laughed so hard and gotten mad at the same time.
