- The early spring forging harvest in the Appalachian Mountains is abundant right now! Morales, chickweed, Troutlilly, violets, ramps are all out and it’s time to harvest. Today, dad takes family and kids to the woods to explore and bring back some delicious fresh food for free. 
Art, love to hear you speak so patiently as you teach your children. You both are such wonderful parents.
I truly love seeing you back in the videos Art. Not just because of the healing that is going on in your marriage and family, but because you have so much knowledge and are such a good teacher.

Art, My heart is so warm watching you spend time with your beautiful babies…I’ve been praying for you and Bri and the kiddos to get your family back intact for good…as it should be. Y’all are coming along so well and it’s been a blessing to share in your journey…I hope you find a way to finally get your farm house back to a home again because I truly believe that your homestead is where you guys heart is at and where you will ultimately be the happiest as a family. I know it’s been overwhelming with the demo and trying to get the house put back together again…on top of the twins being early and having health issues in the beginning…your plates were definitely overflowing all at once…thank God all is well now!…Art, you have the skills to make the farm house home again and I’m so hoping that’s the decision you and Bri come to…to bring life back to the farm!…A piece of property like that is hard to come by…with the acreage, barns …all the beauty is bonus!…Regardless I’m rooting for you guys! This video is my childhood playing out by the creeks. This is how I raised my children. We hiked in the neighborhood woods every spring and summer. You have a beautiful area to hike.

One year our neighbor took our scrap sheet rock and filled a ditch with it. Two years later there where about 20 morels on the sheet rock. Under cedar and fir trees. Delicious!
Are you still going to finish the house? My mother contributed to the fund to help you get the house fixed (before she passed away) I'm sure others would like to know your plans too.
That was the plan at the time, but life takes turns and times change. I hope you aren’t saying you’re holding them to their long ago plans?

Beautiful video Art. 😊. To be honest- that darn is YOU GUYS … it’d be so great if the family all lived back there again. Bri’s place just doesn’t look like home 🤷♀️ Every morning when I do my chickens and ♥️♥️ goats , I think of Bri- I went to her videos when I started the goat thing 😊 and I somehow think she needs chickens and goats and cows. There’s so much solitude there even the videos give that calming affect - y’all should move back HOME. After my house fire, 2 months at an apartment in town, soon as my oldest son could fend for himself, I bought a camper and came back to my homestead- much easier to tend the animals being here, than travelling back n forth, and I need to walk my gardens with my coffee in the mornings ♥️and I can sit and watch the stars while I listen to the frogs in the night 😊😊 makes me think HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS

I am from Iowa and have frequently found morels under pine trees. It is so nice to see you teaching your kids how to find them. My dad always called me his mushroom hound because I smell them. One of my favorite memories with my dad was mushroom hunting every year!

We find morels in our pine woods. Every Memorial Day we are able to get a 5gal bucket full and feast.

I would LOVE to see the kids and Bri move back. I think they all would prefer that beautiful farm over that beautiful house any day. They could live in that open space in the barn during the spring and summer with a few modifications and of course have the camper as a backup when the weather is bad. Many ppl live in off grid spaces. Ppl are so hungry for this type of RUclips content. Goodness I enjoyed this video -just like old times❤️🐖🐂🐄🐓. They’re great gardeners and homesteaders and know how to live off the land😋. So much love for them to succeed together. ❤💕

We tried looking for morels here in northern PA but i think it's too soon for us. I think it's amazing where you found them because every other video i have watched where people normally find them, it's super green. The leaves in our woods are so thick, that it really makes it hard to find them. Those daylilies are delicious. We have been picking and eating them. ❤❤❤
