ill have to try this. i always ignore the drums in avenger outside of throwing down a occasional quick 4 on the floor while making a preset. i have never used the drums in avenger in a track before. also i am the same with synths. i have so many. pigments is always great because you dont forget how to use it. I usually stick with a synth until i finish making a preset pack then move on to another one for a while. i just finished current and recently got onto hive. but avenger, anything from U-he (specifically repro and diva) and phaseplant are the ones I always come back to. Also repro just got an update today! so thats what i am messing with today :)
Definitely give it a try, avenger drums sound really good and there honestly not much post Fx you gotta add, maybe some verb but they are basically production ready. Once you got a template like this set up you'll really dig it
@jonaudio yea I am gonna try it on my next track. I have no shortage of drum vsts. But I feel like that meme of the guy walking with his girlfriend looking at the other girl passing by when it comes to plugins lol. At least this one I already own. Also I dunno if you use any of avengers other plugins. But I picked up glitch bitch this black Friday (even tho I already have tons of stutter fx) and its really solid. Totally worth it at the current 50% off price and it does some cool things to drums
I completely get this and also don't use the drums in Avenger, and I also have my go-to synths. Still trying to work Avenger 2 into my workflow a bit more. I do use Live though and not sure if I can do this in my DAW.
I'll def be doing stuff with glitch bitch soon. It's another cool one for sure! Curious to hear how your track turns our with avenger drums. Def let me know!
Jon, do you know if its possible to save your audio routing in VPS avenger between presets? So i set up everything in bitwig to have the drums all go to their own channels, and was gonna make a template so I could have avenger all preloaded as a multi channel effect for drums. But when i change presets it reverts everything in the avenger mixer to go thru the master channel. I do not see anything in the manual on where you can save your routing state. I have a few drum plugins that will retain their multi out settings between plugin instances. didnt know if avenger had that option. its not a huge deal to set up, but save every bit of time where you can ya kno ? lol
great question! as far as Im aware that isn't possible, each presets also saves its routing, so it basically overwrites any routing you've done when you load up a new preset.
@@jonaudio oh really? i didnt even think to save it and check. thats pretty good then. at least you can make a template preset and go from there. thats dope. thanks for the tip! i was playing around with the drums a lot last night. the Q4ntum effect can do some awesome stuff to drums, i am surprised it isnt available as a stand alone effect.
@PeteGunnShow yeah that's kind of what I do. I have a preset that's a multi out setup I like and build from there. Yeah man q4antum is amazing! That's one of the fx that you can make some wiiiiild stuff with
Good stuff thx!
you're very welcome!
Thank you

You should be able to do the same workflow. It's probably similar how bitwig does multi outs with vsts
Hi Jon, good vid.. what DAW is that ?
here im using FL Studio with a custom skin

I normally mute the cymbals and hats and throw in my own flavor with other samples.
I've done the same before too haha
