If they don’t play this at my funeral I’m not going
Lol. Great post and great song.
You damn right !!!
The Rolling Stones are one of the best Country music bands around.
? Nope.
Well, for a bunch of English guys, they're okay. I find their country music amusing. It's all good.
Charlie Watts was the best drummer the rock world ever had.
yessss !!!!!
AMEN!!!
He was actually a jazz drummer and grew up in a jazz family.
White drummers don,'t swing exept for Charlie
Charlie was always solid but not flashy or Dynamic, Him and Bill kept the band on track
Mick's sense of humor is often overlooked and never duplicated. This is such a great track! And Keith and Charlie are perfect! So is Mick Taylor.
This is a killer version of this song. It's got a Lou Reed like snarly guitar vibe that I like a lot. Can't believe it's been in the can this long.
Awesome reference to Lou Reed. I hear it. Miss Lou.
What guitar sound like lou ? The lead or the other ?
Stones could kick-ass as a country band.
+Powderfinger Stones could kick ass as just about any kind of band.
+C. Parks Nah I doubt as Death Metal
+Emilie Hofer That's why I said JUST ABOUT, haha
+Powderfinger even as rap artistsyeah!
yeah they did shattered so they could make rap work.
DEAD FLOWERS: Two great versions, two superb guitar solos by the talented Mick Taylor, two Gems to enjoy forever...
The Mick Taylor years we were the best,969
His guitar is missed.
Mick Taylor's guitar, this is Amazing!
I'm crying!
The Rolling Stones
Christian Eduardo Will he tour with them this year?
Christian Eduardo I agree with you, fellow. Mick Taylor is superb and it is not easy to find words to describe his talent. A Legend with his Gibson Les Paul!
Not just Mick T.. The whole band is amazing.
Mick Taylor was the man and it did not sit well.
The guitar work on this version is great- better than the original.
+C. Parks agree :D
I love finding different versions of this. And they're all amazing in their own right.
One of my favorite songs.
Keith’s guitar sounding like a slashing bell ringing. Mick’s guitar sounding like a tone of caramel waves. Mick and Keith sharing vocal duties. And underneath it all, is Charlie and Bill providing the rock.
jaap eggermont really did an outstanding job recreating the original sound
Stones rock. no matter if it's Mick or Ronnie. it's still the straight goods.
Brian as well
we love you forever Mr Charlie Watts the stones will always be the greatest in rock and roll history
The guitar lick at the 3 minute mark is just pure Stones groove heaven. So basic yet so groovy
One of my favorites off Sticky Fingers and this is a great version of it. So glad the Stones made it available.
Wow! I have never listened to this version! Mind blowing! Grrrrreat!
Bill's bass is groovin'!! That's if it's Bill, that is.
Únicos. Salvajes. Sin Miedo a muchas Verdades. Grandes.
God bless the rolling stones!
Brilliant version, love this song i can totally relate to the sitting in my basement room with a needle and a spoon and another girl to take my pain away . Wow
Yeah but I wouldn't be telling people you relate to needles man! I change the lyrics when I play it live cause I don't want people conjuring images of heroin, so I say ice cream instead of needle. It's funny for people who know the song
This version is absolutely sublime.
My Mom Loved this Song*****
Fabulous! Back in the day, when the Stones really were the 'Greatest Rock and Roll Band in the World', MT was the man and MT and Keith together were a fantastic duo! Ronnie may have fitted the image of the Stones better than MT, but frankly couldn't carry his capo as a lead guitarist!
+joe smith Isn't this just a kick-ass version! You are right MT was the difference-maker. From 1964-1974 They were my favorite. when MT left so did I.
The two saddest events in rock the break-up of the fab 4 and the loss of MT. Too bad...
one of the best bands ever the songs timeless and they are still going how cool
Great version. Stones Baby!!
Eines meiner Lieblings - Country - Songs von euch.....mmm, schön...🎶🎼🎵🎤🔝💯...
Come back to this version of this song over and over. Pure gold for in too deep stones fans
this is fabulous -- the version of the song and the video. thanks for posting
This is the highest form of #music currently in existence.
Why did this version did not make the album?? Mick Taylor's lead is just so f'n great !!!
thanks keith and Mick i remember high school everyday listen yours song are my songs favorites this album i love was my first disc what me impact for all my live thanks mick, keith, charlie, bill and Mick taylor
Great version!
The guitar parts are interesting. It seems that Mick Taylor is in the left channel and Keith in the right, but Mick starts the song playing the pattern that Keith plays on the Marquee version, and Keith’s more elaborate part is more like Mick’s from the Marquee. I prefer this version to the original studio version because it’s faster, like they played it live, and because the lead guitar tone is better. However that just my personal preference as a guitarist.
Love it, never heard it before.gonna listen to it again..WOW.still love it.gonna listen to it again
Stones por siempre!
Outstanding version
After playing the old Sticky Fingers songs for 45 years i sure they will enjoy playing these newer versions, I like listening to them, but hope they play both...
this is a precious version
Great song!!!
Excelente Version!! Me Gusta Mas que la version Original!!!
tremenda!!!!
When you're sitting back in your rose pink Cadillac
Making bets on Kentucky Derby Day
Ah, I'll be in my basement room with a needle and a spoon
And another girl to take my pain away
Hmm, I wonder what he's talking about? JK
AND I WON'T FORGET TO PUT ROSES ON YOUR GRAVE.
Some of the best stones lyrics ever! Love it!
Totally decadent warped country music.Awesome.
Só os Stones para compor uma grande música como essa
Concordo 🤘
Great song
Great version. It sounds like a live studio cut. Mick T...what can you say...?
Both Beatles and Stones are top, no comparison because they are different bands
Fabulous version
silver sounding guitars. Mick T is killing it.
❤
This is my happy go lucky tune
Happy Bday Mick 80th
One of the greatest video clips! Andy Warhol would be proud of it!
this sounds like the live versions of the song around the '72 Ladies & Gentlemen.
Great version, this one rocks
I sure hope that Taylor fellow keeps playing guitar...with a little practice and a few more years under his belt, he might get pretty good.
Thanks.... Great version.
That's Mick Taylor playing the lead on his Gibson - best rhythm guitarist the Stones had!
Best lead guitarist :P Keith played rhytmn.
I think the leads and rythms swapped I am sure Slide is Mick Taylor who is fantastic at it . Ron Wood is no slouch I never missed a lick in the change up when Ron Joined them .
Keith is also the lead guitarist on ALL the recordings up until Sticky Fingers. And Keith plays the leads on the studio version of this, I believe, in addition to many of the other songs on Sticky Fingers.
Mick is great at slide but that's Keith on slide on many of the recordings of this era. Brian Jones used to be the slide guy in the band on the early stuff.
Another perfect example of why the Stones were better as a band with Mick Taylor. Love you Ronnie but Mick's the man.
Taylor got the boot because he was too good. He would upstage Jagger and Richards and became a threat. They are more comfortable with Ronnie who is not a great guitarist as Taylor.
Othello O taylor didnt get the boot he was becoming a junkie with keef and had to go..but thought he could form a supergroup but it didnt pan out..but the stones were definitely the best band with him and lets not forget jimmy miller 68 to 72
Othello O Another "fan" who comments without knowing shit. The Stones were happy with him but Taylor quit. Why do fools make assumptions without knowing the simple facts?
Uh-huh. Not only did they fire him, they kept it a secret for over 40 years.
eight inches
Nice well-hidden gem , thanks for sharing.
Fantastic , as always
Non esiste altro sempre Rolling Stone 🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤗🤗🤗🤗
Awesome guitar on this & is the Rolling Stones sound stamp!
Fidlar covered this, and killed it. Love them both
They play this version live. Alot of the stuff from the original is missing, No piano no cowbell. Its just easier to play live this way plus the tempo Keith's putting out is faster it gets the people going!
Joe Garrison I prefer this version.
am i the only one that prefers this over the studio version???
Abdullah Younis YES
Abdullah Younis This is a studio version, just a different arrangement than what was previously released.
Abdullah Younis Yes.
The live performance of this at The Marquee in the 70s is the best.
Not at all
with a nee-dull and a spooon
This is a very cool edited video of my favorite Rolling Stones song.👍
Excellent
It sounds a little bit like it is in "Exile On Main Street" album, but I still prefer the original version. Because of the mix that I know about, the playing of all these guys, especially Keith's guitar solo, and the feelings I've got personally about this song. Although it's a very interesting version we've got a lot to talk about I think so.
Excuse me for the bad English I'm supposed to using for a French 5 a.m. drunken-man. 😅✌🏻
Oh yeah, that new country band is really quite good..they come from England , called the rolling stones.😊
great version
perfect!
I like this.... Just Stones..
I love this version better!
Great song!
Big reason for Mick! Great Mick!
TE AMO ROCK N ROLL GRACIAS STONES UN POCO MAS
Charlie bill n Mick T..what more to say
Faster & fun but prefer the classic version!!
Great version and great guitar work (as always) by Mick T., but I miss Stu's honky-tonk piano on this one.
the dude abides
la miglore band in assoluto ,,,,,,,,,,,,lunga vita agli Stones !!! yeah,,,,,,,,,+,,,,,,,,,, magkes ta spate panta ,,,,,,,,,,,,,by italy
Thanks. Great take. Everybody firing on all cylinders. MT's leads seem a little hotter or higher in the mix. I like this and Sticky Fingers released version.
Fuck, this should of made it on the record.
