The Green Line’s analysis shows that Torontonians are not impacted by lack of transit access equally. On average, the more racialized a Toronto ward is, the fewer subway stops that ward has - and Scarborough is the most racialized part of our city.
#TheGreenLineTO engagement reporter James Westman chatted with Scarborough commuters about their experiences with the TTC that sometimes leave them waiting for over an hour. He also spoke to Jamaal Myers (TTC Board Chair and Scarborough North city councillor), Ignacio Tiznado-Aitken (postdoctoral fellow in human geography at University of Toronto Scarborough) and Austin Jafri (TTCriders spokesperson).
