Saving money for a gtr right now and all the meets I go to with guys that have higher hp gtrs have your signature jacks transmissions. I've never heard a complaint from a single one if I'm being honest.

can you tell me why it sometimes happens that the gear change from 2 to 3 squeaks when the gtr r35 is cold? even if it's cold, after that it's gone. and only from 2 to 3

Maybe I’m being stupid but how does the 246 cluster get removed? Do you have to pull the driven gears and syncros off first?

If at 15:55s the fwd gear you're holding is loose, the backlash increases, causing noise in the fwd clutch?
hi all, i m from Malaysia , currently we have a GTR R35
facing error code P0777
we have clean up the filter inside the valve body
we also replace pressure sensor, solenoid, valve body seal
after all the things being done, but the gearbox still not able to shift GEAR R, 1, 3, 5 when the temperature is about 68'c.
understand that quite number of user facing this issue, but i m not able to get an correct answer through forum. may i know anyone here able to help me? appretiate for the help.

@@GVR1670 excuse me…my problem …. I forgot to specify that it is the code P0777 she has trouble shifting the odd gears and she makes a hissing sound in the box when you turn the steering wheel
@@xboune Does the error come up immediately when the vehicle is started cold, or does it take time and only come ON when the trans oil temp exceeds 180F? If it happens only when the trans gets warm then that's a pressure sensor issue and we have both the OEM and higher quality aftermarket sensors in stock. If the code comes up when cold and never goes away then it's likely a blown clutch seal. We also have aftermarket carbon seals that will last the life of the car and prevent the issue from happening again.
The hissing while turning could be someone forgot to install the sump filter, the trans has a deep aftermarket oil pan which is useless, or the driveshaft could be hitting something. Without the car in front of me, or hearing the sound, I do not know.
@@GVR1670 well it will be difficult to have the car because I am very far from you 🤣 in Martinique the Caribbean islands… yes the noise appears immediately when I start and the code when I turn the steering wheel the car seems to slow down and sometimes it stops and has trouble starting

hi there , i actually have quick question , my friend drove my gtr and he was on manual mode , if im not mistaken i saw him tap the rev limiter while downshifting 4-3 , im quite worried if there was any damage due to that but the car seems to run fine but just worried , so would want to ask the expert ...tq
Hello! I do not believe there was any damage. If he was already high in the RPMs in 4th before shifting into 3rd the TCM will not allow the shift to happen unless 3rd gear was below the rev limit. What likely happened is the system had 5th gear preselected thinking you were going to engage that gear. When your friend downshifted instead the trans had to pull out of 5th and engage 3rd. This can take some time so the RPMs will hang for a second before the clutch crossover is complete. Normal and nothing to worry about. I do this trying to fool the logic in the R-Mode trans software all the time.
@@GVR1670 okay thanks for the reply , and also i was wondering , is it normal to tap the rev limiter while downshifting ? , like high rpm downshift until u tapped the rev limiter , basically downshifting at 6k rpm is that normal ? because i left a few comments on some gtr owners they told me not to worry because they said that they hit the rev limiter alot of time on the track ... and how high rpm can a gtr tolerate while downshifting ..... and thank you, really appreciate the replies, because was trying to search everywhere for answers but couldnt find it .... basically just wanting to know is it normal to tap the rev limiter while downshiting
