I’m one of the weirdos who like sanding. I love seeing the grain of the wood revealing itself in greater and greater detail. It’s one of the best parts of woodworking.
After 61 years of woodworking I thought “I knew it all.” Thank you for filling in some of the blanks for me. Educational, funny and inspiring - good job.
The destruction of the river tape was my absolute favorite video that you’ve made. Ooh sorry I got distracted back to discussing HOLES. Oh my gosh the cemetery scene is epic lol
I took the day off to mine for pine today! Was super successful. Amazing tip. Even found some nice bone inlays! Super excited about this tip - changed my life.
Reclaimed pine just under our feet! 👏👏😭 Haven't finished the video yet but the router sled was pretty brilliant. I'm currently looking at you in a "grave". Great wholesome content Jason! Thank you
They haven't figured out not to put lock-on buttons under the hand of every left-handed woodworker yet, and that's an actual safety issue. Don't hold your breath on them putting lights where you need them
I am very thankful for the ruclips.net/user/postUgkxbnOKZBE4evMO5V2vroHeCjq6d_MV6wJO that has been a tremendous help to me in building a perfect outdoor shed. I have been facing many challenges and difficulties for a long time, but this plan has guided me to correct the mistakes during the process. I am impressed by the projects and I express my gratitude to the creator of this collection of plans.
The “sander headlight” is a terrific idea. When pulling smaller pneumatic nails they break if you try to pull them out with a channel lock. I’ve had good success holding the nail with a pliers and using a hammer or small bar to lift the pliers straight up. You’re not trying to bend the nail so it doesn’t break and usually comes out quite easily.
My mum and dad were a great team . Grandpa was a specialist interior painter and decorator and taught them the trick of the string across the bucket for cleaning the wallpaper paste off the brush . Fortunately they passed the tips and tricks on to me . You just brought back fond memories.
That trick with the double sided tape is a good one. Also, if you're going to build a home in a vehicle, start with a box truck like a furniture truck. It's all square inside just like normal house building.
I normally don't watch tips and tricks videos, because most of them are stupid. But I picked up some good ones here. That tip with the Iced Tea was brilliant!
Love the reclaimed pine. I really enjoy your videos and am passing them to my grandson and his friends who are into woodworking at various levels or yet to be inspired.
I love your video’s Because when you talk you talk gentle nice and easy, not with hard voice, you make jokes and it makes sence what you say Greets from the Netherlands!!!
That iced tea in the booze bottle trick was done on old movies a lot. The router sled trick is pretty cool. You could probably clamp a straight piece of wood to a board and use that to make a dado.
The channel lock trick I remember doing when i was 6 years old. My dad and uncle tasked me with pulling nails out of board's to give me something to do for a while and to keep me out of their hair. I had nails with heads too small for the hammer so I started digging in the tool box saw the channel locks and figured I could pull them out. Didn't work, but then i pushed down . Total accidental discovery of a 6 year old turned into one of the best tricks I still use.
Measuring tip: Wrap a string around the item you are trying to measure and mark the length. Put that against your tape measure to get the circumference, divide that by pi to get the diameter, and divide that number by 2 to get the radius...
Love both the router tips! Wish I’d known the nut filler trip for when I was doing some outdoor benches too. Those knots for pain in the butt and I definitely did not use the right product for it.
Some excellent suggestions. I use vise grips instead of channel lock - same effect, grip smaller stubs. Love the rabbet + template hole enlarger. The total boat epoxy filler - new info! Thanks for (most of) the video.
Mining for pine, gives new meaning to Deadwood....😂
I do the channel lock trick, but on soft wood I also use a putty knife laying flat in between the wood and channel locks 😊
A stiff back broad knife works excellent. I used to have an old heavy gauge deburred electrical box cover for prying against drywall.
Vice grips!

The domino gag was so so so painful
I've seen worse ways to use a Domino's pizza. . . Like eating it!
Take some ibuprofen. It'll be ok.
@@francescovirgilio7181 Beat me to it
The airstream reno has driven him mad.
@@mariebagwell6314well rounded assessment. 😂
That double-sided tape tip is really great! Thanks!
After 61 years of woodworking I thought “I knew it all.” Thank you for filling in some of the blanks for me. Educational, funny and inspiring - good job.
“Knotty” and “Bright idea”, Dad jokes just in time for Gather’s Day. And that was cheating one problem, knots and you got two tips of out it.
Me too, 60 here and that tip with the two sided tape is brilliant, especially given the simplicity.
The destruction of the river tape was my absolute favorite video that you’ve made. Ooh sorry I got distracted back to discussing HOLES. Oh my gosh the cemetery scene is epic lol

How in the world have tool companies not caught on and made a sander with lights built into it?!? That’s actually a great idea!
Great idea. It took a long time to put it on a light on a cordless drills 😀😉
i know i use several lamps never thought of putting them on the sander. they are on all other tools why isn't it already
They haven't figured out not to put lock-on buttons under the hand of every left-handed woodworker yet, and that's an actual safety issue. Don't hold your breath on them putting lights where you need them
Easy Peasy, Thixo Squeezy! 😎😎
Headed to my local park to mine fer some pine!!
Genius tip!!
My favorite is the tea in the bourbon bottle.
The domino tip made me belly laugh. I’ve been in pain from a recent surgery and I needed that. It hurt to laugh, but it hurt so good!

I can't wait to see more from the airstream 😊

A small pair of vice grips makes this trick even easier.
That domino tip, while maybe not the best example of fine woodworking, was, in fact, the best example I've seen of using a Domino's Pizza.
Thank God for this channel, refreshing, funny and educational....this is the best RUclips channel hands down.......FAF......😅😅😅😅😅💯💯💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥lmao

Love the ice tea and bourbon bottle prank. I need to do that. Water in a vodka bottle is another great one 🤣
That was great. Thanks for the laughs and tips.
You get me with that graveyard thing. Hell of a good laugh. Thanks.
I love your videos and your sense of humor bro
Absolutely love the headlamp on the sander. Can see other applications for sticking a headlamp on a tool like this. Brilliant!
Well, I'm off. Pine-mining.
Loved the router tip, tnx!!
Iced tea, pine mining, 🚫airstream and tootaloo! Worth it
It’s bad enough when people claim to have “pre-drilled,” but “pre-stuck” is where I pre-putmyfootdown.
Oh damn the cemetery was awesome hahaha
I hope the rest of that pizza was enjoyed. Broke my heart to see pizza being wasted. Can you tell it's been a while since I've had a slice? LOL
that double sided tape trick is actually brilliant!
I've used that trick for aluminum foil tape too!
That domino trick is invaluable!
The "router sled" thing is brilliant...
That's the best use of Domino's pizza I've seen to date.
Head torch on a sander - genius!
Ahhh... another brilliant video!
That trick with the double sided tape is a good one. Also, if you're going to build a home in a vehicle, start with a box truck like a furniture truck. It's all square inside just like normal house building.
Great tips, and the domino bit was the funniest thing I've seen in your channel.
Loved it. 🤠🤠🤠 Thanks Alf
Jesus, he really committed to that Domino gag huh? 😂
Loved the mini router sled tip, btw, thanks!
I normally don't watch tips and tricks videos, because most of them are stupid. But I picked up some good ones here. That tip with the Iced Tea was brilliant!
I find the stupid tips and hacks vids are very good for clarifying my thinking about why we don't do it like that.
You got me with Dominos. Haven't laughed so much since you demonstrated blowing Titebond into a crack.
man..... you crack me up whilst educating me!!! lol. Thanks mate!
Dude - you are NUTS and HILARIOUS !
Thank you for this video! I really needed it this morning! I’m still laughing about “Mining for Pine”!

OMG... mining for pine ! My mouth dropped open, it completely took me by surprise 😂
You are my favorite youtuber and I have been watching you for awhile but never commented. Thank you for all you do!
Love your whole "learning while entertaining" approach". Picked up a lot of great information while LMAO. Thank you.
Thankyou for the tips and video
Great video. Very helpful tips

I absolutly love these videos, you don't go in with the boring straight forward teaching its funny and keeps the audience haha
Tamar and katzmoses name drop! Very cool 😅
wow i really like that light idea i used to use several lights
That was one of the most enjoyable videos I've seen in a long time that didn't involve boobs. Learned a couple of things too!
The domino gag was the first time I actually laughed out loud during a woodworking video
Awesome!!! Mining for pine boards made me laugh out loud!
Stay hydrated. Best tip 🥃

Nailed landing ar the begining 👍

When you started downing the "bourbon" I started freaking out hahaha "Hes gonna be wasted!"
The domino hack was genius. I never thought about doing that. Thanks for the insight.
Honestly the best use I've personally seen of Domino's.
Love both the router tips! Wish I’d known the nut filler trip for when I was doing some outdoor benches too. Those knots for pain in the butt and I definitely did not use the right product for it.
You are a brilliant goofball.
Thanks for the tips and tricks. I love your videos and have learned a lot from you.

Tamar at 3x3 is a genius. The tape is tip of the ice burg of what she can teach you.
Thanks for sharing all the tips and tricks in an entertaining way. I learn something new every time. Thank you!
I would add that sanding epoxy (3:45) also causes heat buildup and softens the epoxy. This leads to sandpaper gumming up quickly and wasting supplies.
airstream > tips and tricks but i understand if you need a break hahaha
Love to see the outtakes of this one😂 You couldn’t have slid over the table just once.
Mining for pine. LoL 😂 that is epic!!
router tip was so awesome
Thanks for the tip with the mini router sled! I needed that for a cutting board so I didn't have to plane down the whole piece again!
Old Grand-dad bonded is a fantastic budget bourbon!
A putty knife under the channellocks really helps on soft woods...
Dominoes was hilarious!😂😂😂😂😂😂
"mining for pine" got me good hahahahahahahahaha
Do love a bit of talent with the right amount of crazy. Thanks for brightening up my Saturday afternoon. 😁
The double square measuring tip is especially helpful, but it's all good stuff!
Dude! I was literally laughing out loud when you stuffed the pizza in the wood! So stupid but so funny!
I wouldn’t expect anything less 😆
