    Hi Rubina, I just came across this video. I’m the founder of d’you. Appreciate your thoughts and feedback on the product. I just want to clarify one thing - the alia bhatt video was NOT a sponsored / paid or collaboration video. She has been a brand customer and her sister is also a customer since over a year. While everyone is absolutely free to critique and share their personal opinion on products and brand, I don’t think it’s okay to amplify factually incorrect statements. Every sponsored / paid ad needs a disclosure as per law. I’m also a lawyer myself and as a brand we do not flout rules & regulations, and we have never and would never do hidden ads. Would appreciate if your community and audience is shared the right information on this - that the alia bhatt video was NOT a paid ad🙏🏻

    Thanks for your honest review!
    This is what I feel.
    1. Alia Bhatt already gets paid more than enough through movies and TV ads. Hence I don't think she would feel the need to advertise this product just for the money
    2. Many people in her first skincare video were asking her what the products she used were. So maybe she wanted to be more open about the products she's currently using in her 2nd video and hence mentioned the brand names.
    So I do think we can't firmly conclude that she mentioned d'you purely for the ad purpose.

    • @drzeyas8351

    • @mogumogu7774
      @mogumogu7774 Год назад +6

  • @sindhuarvapalli
    @sindhuarvapalli Год назад +12

    The D'you in my defence has 1% actual concentration of ceramides where as beminimalist has only 0.3%. The dot and key has not mentioned their concentration at all.
    The product is extremely costly I agree, but whenever out barrier is damaged due to retinol we can use it overnight and it does wonders instead of using as a regular moisturizer.

    • @RubinaSkincare
      @RubinaSkincare  Год назад +7

      Try Vaseline....a thin layer ...cheap, therapeutic and super effective for barrier repair. Dyou as a barrier repair cream is like throwing a ton of money instead of using a simple fix. To justify its cost other than the packaging and ceramide it def needs a fee magical actives like oleos n the like.
      Thank you for sharing your insights Sindu and it perhaps makes sense when repeated expense is not a concern.

      In that case there are many pharmacy ceramide based moisturisers that are extremely affordable with high percentage of Ceramide, like CeraMD cream.

    Hello! The IMD moisturiser by D’you is actually quiet good.. I’m in the process of tryinggg to find something cheaper 😂 so the dot&key one is an option but the D’you one I have to say… it’s insanely good and works very very well with other actives in your skin care routine. I actually love that it (D’you IMD) doesn’t have a lot of actives in it. It’s been about 3 weeks since I’ve regularly used D’you and it’s helped my skin a lot.

My skin was so good after using it; I was glowing, and my skin became very healthy. After I finished the bottle, I thought I would try a dupe, as many influencers suggested Dot and Key moisturizer as its dupe. IMO I have seen many people just not taking the leap of faith on affordable products as they have pre-conceived notions regarding it's quality and efficacy. I know of one such person in my parent's community circle who doesn't trust brands that sell products below 1000 as she believes they wouldn't be as promising and cosmetically elegant. For celebrities 3500 is a small price to pay. The only affordable product Alia has is the Cetaphil gentle cleanser and that might be the case Bcoz it is recommended by derms. I think she loves the product as she might not have ventured out in the cheap section of skincare.

    Absolutely agree with your views, alia never shows the names of her actual product
    N she never used any of these in any of her other skin care videos
    Alia very smartly promoted d'you moisturiser and some stupids are still nt able to believe that these sold people are even sailing 100 percent sugery fruity and actually don't consume even 1 percent sugar.

    Hi. I agree with skin care being affordable. However can’t trust brands like dot n key too.. they never mention their complete ingredient list. Not sure of other options, will try one of them for oily skin..

    • @deepanjalityagi15
      @deepanjalityagi15 Год назад

      They don’t even mention the percentage of ingredients which is very important. For example in their Retinol cream they don’t mention the percentage of retinol. This is quite shady.

    great analysis! im using the bioderma creme currently but i want to switch to a ceremide based lightweight moisturizer for summers. Is the dot and key's ceramide worth the buy? im so afraid it might be comedogenic.Whats your two cents? should i switch or stay with the bioderma one?

    • @deepanjalityagi15
      @deepanjalityagi15 Год назад +1

      Its is comedogenic. It broke me out so badly. It does soothes skin n repairs the barrier but for acne prone and close comedones skin its a disaster. Should be avoided.

      If u stay in hot and humid climate then it's a bit heavy for oily skin. If not you can use it in small quantities. It has coconut oil and some other oils but it hasn't broken me out. But since I stay in a hot and humid place I will buy it only in winters . For monsoon and summers I prefer their Oil free gel moisturizer . The green one with oats. Price is a bit higher but it's more soothing and effective than blue one.

    The dot and key moisturizer is so oily it doesn’t absorb in the skin and that’s how u get to know why it’s so cheap and gives me textured skin and clogged my pores. I’ve tried other moisturizers as well from dot and key no matter how cheap and good and nice the ingredients sound it doesn’t do anything it claims
