Charles Kuralt was kind enough to do a studio interview at WSTU 1450am radio while in town when I (Larry Altman) worked there. He was as nice in person as he appeared on TV.

I work in this town, and driving is part of the job. There is still just as high a percentage of people who approach the area and have no clue what to do.
Also, with the new high-speed commuter trains running through along with the FEC, those gates are down every ten minutes or less during the day now.
I've driven through there dozens of times with no problems. Timing is everything !
My home town for 54 years! It is worse now! This was taken when it was a small town. Loved it back then.
My my how times have changed. I'm gonna bring my Supra through here when it's done lol I've gone through a hundred times but now I feel like it's worth making a video about.
My wife went out to dinner one evening in late 2022 in my E30 BMW, I only take it out on weekends. We stopped for a pedestrian in a crosswalk as we were coming out of confusion corner and got rear ended hard. It took me many months to fix that car, I have euro bumpers and had to source replacement parts from Europe. It is an exercise in insanity driving through there. Tread carefully. Head on swivel!!!

Yes I moved here in 72 also,with my two year daughter. Still here and want to move to North Carolina.. Martin County has made this place nothing more than an overcrowded, over expensive county! Our Governor, has not accepted government grants to help the needy here let alone the elderly! In my opinion he is not my governor. He does what he does for his own profit.
The songwriter Mr. Buckosh was one of my favorite teachers. 4th grade.
