TO the folks complaining about the vocals, try to remember that on the album they were layered w/ three different styles. That's why all three of them are singing when they play it live - to get all three different layers. Matt's just doing the clean section for the most part.
if you watch the Silence In the Snow documentary Paolo talks about how his voice was blown out for this festival and this is when they decided they had to take a break from screaming for the sake of the band, and then relearn how to correctly scream & sing properly. They said this festival was a painful struggle for Matt vocally. That's why they basically did all "singing" songs and Corey is screaming everything.
A Trivium concert with out 'Down From The Skies' That's how you know you're a massive band when you have so many massive hits that you can't fit them all in :o
i have seen them one's it was probably the best concert ever now this sounds totally different. i know of the problems with his voice ;) but in stead i really like this version i don't really have a problem with it :)

As a long time Disturbed fan, I have never once mistaken Trivium for Disturbed. His singing is a little different, Live concerts are hard on anyones vocals, but people need to get over the fact that David Draiman was involved. Matt was thankful for David's help in vocal coaching and expanding his abilities, and we ought to be thankful too. A band who's sound doesn't evolve goes nowhere.
I think Vengeance Falls had the best lyrics and singing out of all their albums, I just thought the mixing or something sounded too loud. To me most of the songs sounded like one loud guitar riff
Mat Madiro is pretty good. Their live sound has improved in my opinion for that reason alone already. As for Heafy's screaming capability? I don't really listen to the songs that have more than 30% screaming so I can't really judge it. Still I think this performance though not their best, was overall pretty good. They're one of my favorite thrash bands out there. Great stuff!
Pretty weak concert, yes. But when Matt didn't give a shit at In Waves (it being the final song) and screamed "In Waves" at the top of his lungs, I just couldn't stop smiling.
trivium are so fucking awesome, but i feel something missing in this show, some music like down from the sky, or shattering the skies above, i think matt could scream more to make de public really jump (sorry bad english)

Really love Trivium but Heafy is doing some kind of nasal technique for singing. I wasnt aware of any vocal accident like everyone is saying so i guess that's what the issue is. Also, I believe Shogun is absolutely their best album by far and wonder why they dont do any songs from it here. Down from the Sky and Into the Mouth are two bigtime accessible tracks....

There are whole lot of bands whose vocalist's voice has gone bad to the degree where it is not possible to recover because of not refraining from too much screaming when his vocal cord is not in good condition. Remember the crusade era, he kinda restrained his voice but got back with super ultra awesome shogun stuff.

The reason he's singing like that is because he blew his voice out a few weeks ago, he should still be resting it. David Draiman didn't influence his singing style, only a way to control and look after his voice. Do some research
