But these guys have put their hearts to every single song, you can hear it, see it live and even feel it while listening. You have to make music that is what you want. I might sound like a guy who would say that you're not true Trivium fans, but I'm not. You just have to accept that good metal bands have to change their style to show everything they can do. The band as whole have improved so much with Corey doing backup screams and Paolo doing harmonies. The only live version of a song that hasn't improved on the studio version is dying in your arms imo

I know that this is a setlist suiting Rock am Ring, but that's not what Trivium is to me. The advantage of this band is their technical precision, which they do not make any use of atm. Something happend after Shattering and In Waves. Now they travel light with the Kemper Amps that sound very dry to me, Matt sings basically the whole set (which apparently blows his voice?) and makes little use of his beautiful screams & growls. And what is this fixation on true metal with the jackets and all? Why are they wondering that nothing is going on in the crowd, when this is just not happening in "true metal". I know that they are pursuing certain aims with what they are doing, maybe I love blast beats too much, but the development is not for me. omg my good is this long...
