To turn off the chunk loader, you could add a lever on the block with the torch, activate it to turn off the chunk loader :D
To safely kill the wither, first, turn off the overworld side. Get into the end, remove every block under the wither and make a tunnel (if its not floating above the void) all the way to the void. Now, block the eyesight of the wither from any mobs, kill the iron golem, the wither will slowly sink into the void.

I have been building this farm for a couple of days now. Not that's it's a hard farm to build, you just need to make some modifications before it work in Minecraft 1.21.1.
1. Replace the glass on the cobblestone generator (front row) with obsidian. Otherwise water will pure down and the farm won't work.
2. Put the snowman one block below the end strongholds' floor. And put the sticky piston that turns on/off the farm one block lower than he does in the video.
3. Make sure your chunk loader in the overworld is facing south!! Very important! Otherwise the minecart will get stuck in the portal. Also make sure the redstone torch ONLY triggers the dispenser. If it also triggers the hopper, the chunk loader won't work.
4. I'd highly recommend you to build a storage system and then get all the obsidian you need, before eventually you kill the wither.
Hope this can help others since I had to redo the farm a couple of times before it worked. :)

Guys, this obsidian farm works in 1.20.1, But it needs some changes
You'll have to replace the building block that the snow golem is on with an enchanting table,So it makes sure that the snowballs will reach the end and hit the wither, if not the snowball will go over the end portal and not hit the wither, which isn't good
Also, in the end the wither is aggressive towards you, which technically breaks the farm, Although Unfortuneatly I don't know how to fix the second bug

Also, Sometimes the chunk loader doesn't work (cuz it's toast), Like maybe the minecart breaking, so make sure you always have to check
solution to the second: make sure your turn off the snow golem and zombie before entering the end. the wither will always shoot skulls at you, but if its been damaged recently theyll be powerful skulls that can break blocks and kill without armor.
if they havent been damaged, the skulls wont damage blocks and also will barely do any damage to you if you have any armor, giving you plenty of time to escape to safety.
@@allijnera But then its hard to enter the end while having the farm on that is the problem. The damages are usually easily repairable, and the worst thing I had to do was respawn the wither because it ended up breaking out.

My spawn platform was in the island so it took me some time to make space for the whole system, but defientley worth it. 9/10
I got some point here :
- nether portal chunk loader now use lava instead of cacti
- little disturbing if someone going to the end for finding some end cities
- high risk high return, means it's a some challenges to build this farm. While building and working this farm needs some attention or otherwise you will end up by the void/the wither, then all done correctly you get pretty much obsidian due to obtain it by mining it takes a long time.
- to stop the farm, kill the wither where player must be at same height as the wither with full armor and smite sword or he will destroy the farm.

For your first point, I would like to point out that this farm was made for 1.15-1.18.1. in all these versions, you can use a cactus, however, lava will destroy the rails in versions below 1.17, so they're staying on the safe side

Ive built several farms from this guy. The cobblestone farm, bamboo farm, sugarcane farm, sand duper, concrete farm, and the gaurdian farm all work in the 1.18 update.
The only things the 1.18 update will effect are different mob farms, because the caves beneath have mobs spawning.

Guys it is working in 1.21 but it need a few fixes.If your snow golem isn't shooting zombie, move snow golem 2 blocks down(he will see zombie anyways, piston wouldn't help there for snow golem to not see zombie), if your chunk-loader isn't working(minecart stuck at portal when he came back from nether), build a 3 block railway with powered rails and place a redstone torch near it behind the portal in overworld, minecart will connect to railway u built, bump at wall and came back to dropper etc.Also wither is going to destroy ur glass block in end(first row)up above cobblestone walls, replace it with obisidian.That's all problems i had, now its working perfectly in 1.21.(sorry for that long text)

Replacing the glass with obsidian improves the farm significantly, as well as some slabs in the corners. and this list is missing 2 detector rails and 5 observers.
For people on 1.20.4 and/or on paper, my farm didn't work until I put the snow golem on a slab instead of a full block. For paper you need to use a different chunk loader since this one doesn't work on paper servers.
for the +1.20 is that it ? i mean i did replace the bottom block for a slab and still wont work, and everything is working well except the the wither isnt breaking the obsidian
@dromind7325 I had the exact same problem because the snowballs weren't going through the portal, maybe try lowering the snow golem even more?

Place your snow golem on a soul sand bloc which is a bit lower than a classic building bloc
UPDATE:
If the snowgolem is able to hit the zombie with snowballs, make sure to place the golem on a bottom slab!

Do I know that my fattoria does not work, that it does not work, that my snow golem colpisces the zombie, is this thing going to be good or not? Poi here is a different chunk loader than the video.
I prefer this design for two reasons over some others, such as RayWorks, etc.
1) Uses a snow golem to keep Wither destroying blocks, as well as regenerate the portal, which is much more efficient/easier than droppers/dispensers and snowballs.
2) Can easily adapt the farm to simultaneously work with a sand duper without having to choose between the two. Just slap down a sea pickle, kelp, etc. on the end of the side pools to break the sand..

*CORRECTIONS AND FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS*
*NOTE: You may be better off building Ianxofour's obsidian farm. It is significantly easier to build and produces the same rates.*
Correction 1: Replace all glass with obsidian or crying obsidian. Otherwise, the wither will easily break glass and quickly escape. Please note that the wither can still break the obsidian and you should still fly away as quickly as possible, but there is less damage. I would advise you to safely patch up any holes in the obsidian that are created when you enter the end portal. Also note that Invisibility will NOT help you in not getting targeted by the wither when entering the end, as you spawn far too close to the wither, and it still detects you.
Correction 2: The materials list is missing 2 Detector Rails and 5 Observers.
Correction 3: Some people have reported issues with the chunkloader. I personally have not had issues with the chunkloader, but you may want to use an updated chunkloader to run this farm. *These issues may also be due to ShulkerCraft referring to the detector rails as activator rails by mistake. Make sure you place detector rails, not activator rails.* Also, make sure that the nether part of the chunkloader is facing the correct direction.
Correction 4: Some water may flow on the hopper. Increase the length of the sidelines by 1 more block.
Correction 5: Place bottom slabs in the corners of artificial platforms surrounding the wither. This will greatly improve blast resistance. I have not seen any damage to the platforms being dealt once this fix is implemented alongside the obsidian fix, but it still may be possible.
Correction 6: Give the zombie a piece of armor or a block so that it doesn't despawn if the chunkloader is turned off. (This is an alternative to the name tag)
Correction 7: When you enter the end, the wither will lock on to you, making the farm dangerous to operate. Here's a solution: Change the stonecutter to a chest and change grindstone to a *sideways* chain. Then place a pressure plate on top of the piston in the overworld zombie then drop an item on top of zombie pressure plate and get into the end. Finish summoning the wither and wait for the item to despawn which should trigger snow golem to shoot which will get wither to break the platform. After this, you can safely afk the farm. When you're done, kill the wither and leave. *Credit to Hard*.

Q: Why is my snow golem dying?
A: Your snow golem is dying because it is in a "warm" biome. The full list of warm biomes is: Desert, Any form of Savanna, Any form of Badlands. You won't have to change anything on the end-side of the farm to fix this; simply find a stronghold that is not in one of the listed biomes and make the overworld/nether side of the farm.
Q: Can I still operate a sand/gravity block duper?
A: The collection system of a stronghold-based gravity block duper may be affected by this, especially if it's placed near the obsidian farm. However, you can create an end-island portal gravity block duper, which is much more effective (up to 200k blocks per hour), with the caveat that it can't be chunkloaded (as far as I can tell) and that it will break if you resummon the ender dragon.
Q: Can I make my own obsidian platform?
A: No, the obsidian cannot regenerate outside of the platform.
Q: Can this farm be made on Bedrock Edition?
A: No, the wither acts differently on Bedrock Edition.
Q: What if my platform is not in the void/near the island?
A: Mine out an area around the machine. Then, spawnproof using water so that no endermen are closer than the iron golem at the time of the summoning. Once the wither is summoned and locked on the iron golem, you may remove the water if you like. Note that

A: Yes.
Q: Can you run this farm without the chunkloader?
A: No, unless you have a friend load the other dimension.
Q: Does this farm only work in the end?
A: Yes.
Q: How can I safely dispose of the wither once I am done using the farm?
A: Stand on one of the blocks next to the chain (which replaces the grindstone in one of my corrections), and attack the wither through the chain. Eventually, it will be killed.

A: The end.
Q: Does the snow golem have to be in a minecart?
A: Yes, otherwise it will be transferred to the end.

@@TrickzPlayzRoblox You might've put the snow golem in the wrong place - Make sure you're looking the correct direction and build it on the closest side (as in, go backwards while looking in correct direction, and place the snow golem contraption on the side of the portal nearest to you.)
Imma just say that this is a work of absolute genius. I literally couldn't imagine an obsidian farm and thought this video was like a tree farm where you need some auto clicker or something. But damn. Now I don't have to accidentally die mining the obsidian towers and losing my precious netherite pickaxes. BTW, can you still keep the sand duper active along with this?
You might actually be able to leave it on, but remove what you have built for the sand super on the end side, and also you’ll have to make both of the farms at different strongholds (you could probably get away with one) the sand mightn’t be as efficient but improvements can be added to the farm to make it simultaneous
as long as the sand duper is built in a different stronghold yes you can. However the sand duper will be less effective as the wither explosions will sometimes destroy the sand entities

hi i build this farm on 1.21 it works! but i have to rebuild a few block firstly the glass blocks on the cobblestone farm generator the first row one i replaced it with obsidians so the water wont spill the second one the snow golem and zombie you should replace the block that the snow golem standing with ha enchantment table credits to someone i just red it

Built this with my friend on my server on 1.19 and it works extremely good, got more obsidian than we can fit in our 20+ chests within a short time.
Few things of note from my end:
1. I initially didn't realize that the obsidian platform at the start supposed to be the platform you spawn on when you first enter the end, so we build the farm somewhere randomly with a manually built obsidian platform. Naturally, that didn't work, so we had to recreate it entirely once we figured that out.
2. A couple of materials are missing in the materials list at the start of the video (observers, for example) but most of it is there.
3. The Wither kept breaking free every time we went through the portal to the end when he was active, but it was fixed when we replaced the glass blocks around him with obsidian instead as someone mentioned in another comment (Playing on a PaperMC multiplayer server, not sure if that's why it happened).
4. Our spawn platform wasn't in the air, but inside the endstone, so we had to clear out a huge chunk before building this - and then we spawn proofed a lot of the nearby area with water since Endermen kept walking close to the Wither and stealing aggro, which meant it could potentially shoot at things it shouldn't.

For people trying this on newer versions, if it isn’t hitting the wither then in the portal room, break the Minecart that the iron golem is in down 2 block and remove the block blocking them and then the snowballs should go through the portal

@@razzka4097 Shulkercraft is well hated by the technical minecraft community, watching some of their videos you can actually see people such as LogicalGeekBoy complaining about them stealing content in the comments. This is one of their less scummy videos, since they actually gave credit, but they often don't or just simply mention who built the farm with no more information. It's scummy. Their entire channel is based off other peoples videos, with exception to the survival challenge videos that just spew misinformation about the game instead.
I get that they're helping out less experienced players with these tutorials but they're screwing over the actual people that put in the real effort to help the players.
I am never going to make this farm. But it’s so interesting to watch him build it regardless.
working fine 1.18.2 but would recommend you to make a wither skeleton farm as well, since it's impossible to avoid wither escaping from it, if u close ur game, it will scape and you'll have to kill it, what u can do is afk farming a lot of obsidian and turn it off

1. For those who wonder: yes, you can build it if your end spawn is inside the island. You just need to make room for the wither to throw the skulls.
2. Just checked if you can have both an obsidian farm and a sand duper. Turns out you can if you make a small modification (make some walls taller and change some glass blocks with low half slabs). I also tested it for 10 mins and the results were 3.5 shulker boxes obsidian and half a shulker box of sand. Also since this chunk loader design is much easier to make than the one in the sand duper video if you first make the obsidian farm the sand duper will be finished in no time.

@@jakehull7809 I think a 4-block-gap above the water would be good enough but I may be wrong. Usually the platform spawns close enough to the edge that it isn't such a problem. Make the gap 4 blocks tall and if you see it has problems raise it until everything is ok. If 4 blocks isn't enough come back here and correct me please.
i fell and died and lost my everything during making this farm but when i die i immediate i open task manager and clicked on end task so i got my world back feeling so happyyyy
if your wither isnt being hit by the snowballs, do like some other comments said (albeit horribly typed): replace the block your snow golem is on with a bottom slab (aka 0.5 blocks lower). this helped me. download the creative world and test that yourself too if you want
testing this in creative is the way. also, make sure your snow golem is shooting snowballs towards the iron golem thru the end portal (instead of away from the iron golem). if it's not, switch where the zombie and snow golem are

finally a effecient obsidian farm but he realeased the farm after i broke every single obsidian pillar in the end
1.20.2 fix is instead of making the snow golem sit on a block make it sit on a bottom slab
Great Farm. works good in 1.20, however, there is a problem when you enter the Portal, cause the wither will focus you and not the iron golem. you have to fly away a bit and then he will be focussing the iron golem. Also, the chunk loader doesn`t work any more in 1.20, i recommend building the one fron Shulkercraft's Warden Switch video, it works great.
Is your snow golem hitting the zombie?
@@solidminecraftx tested my farm in 1.20.4 and something with the end portal or snow golem height changed and it throws from above the end portal but in 1.20.1 it works like in the video. for 1.20.4 only solution is placing your snow golem on a chest instead of a regular block so it sits a bit lower

@@venkat2277 duping sand is a matter of preference. Its not the same as netherite or obsidian man. Do not compare it to those. I would rather make a sand farm or rail duper to get materials then go mine it myself. You can choose to not use it but don't compare it to duping general items.
When building chunk loader you must add part with observer and redstone on the ofher side so it doesn't stick with portal because it can break if you built it like in the video

You need to push a soulsand under the snowgolem when it is in place
Because in 1.20.2 mob height in minecarts changed
With the soulsand it will work again

I just built this farm around 7 hours! Because i need so much obsidian for very big platform. Luckily, my spawn platform is on the main island. So, i just covered the farm with the end stone instead of water to make big room for this farm. Here's i got :
1. No need cobblestone generator. Instead make cobblestone generator, build a high end stone wall. Wither skull does not destroy it.
2. Use obsidian instead of glass surrounding the grindstone. This is help to kill the wither without destroying the block and fly away.
3. Use bottom stone slab instead of glass for corner. It helps the farm more durable if being hit by wither.
4. Kill the wither if no need more for obsidians. Kill the wither at the same height as the wither do or otherwise he will destroy the farm. To turn on the farm again, repeat the previous step from summoning the wither.
5. No need water spawn proof. Just make sure no endermans closer than iron golem when summoning the wither. After the wither spawned and lock to iron golem, enderman can free anywhere.
in this most recent update of 1.20.5 everything works except for these things
- I had to make some changes to the chunk loader by duplicating the design on both sides (in the overworld and nether) of the portal because the minecart was going in an inconsisten direction
- I decrease the height of the snow golem so instead of being on a block it was now a slab
- finally instead of taking away from where the wither is standing keep it there then allow the snow golem to throw the snowballs and quickly elytra out
this is how I got the farm to work in the most recent version of minecraft

Hey, make sure to remember if the obsidian isn't breaking and your on a server with a claims plugin/mod like griefprevention to make a claim and do /claimexplosions so the obsidian breaks also to fix the snow golem not hitting the wither Put him on a full block then break it and put a slab or a enchanting table for the snow golem to be on.
It's great to see Shulkercraft teach us how to farm stuff, and he does it in survival mode. :)

yes, but it would have to be a different design. you can also make a center-portal sand duplicator which is faster

dude i have spent today building this farm but a slightly different model. I have spent so long trying and had no success with the chunk loader so your timing is off the charts insane
My chunk loader wont work. everytime the minecart comes out of the portal it just sits there and doesnt go on the rail

why the snowball isnt hitting the wither
a comment said you should lower the snow man of 0,5 block, so he should be standing on a bottom slab

*IMPORTANT* in 1.16 java, the lava you put next to the rails does spill out and burns the rails, in the nether the flow is faster so you can get on fire, what I did which works fine is instead of putting the lava source block next to the rail, just make a "pipe" put the lava three blocks higher than in the video, make sure to dig a hole in the ground, in front of the hopper and one block beneath so the lava column will fall on it and wont spill and also cover the flow with any fire resistant block. Once you got a lava column flowing to the ground you can destroy the block where the rail goes.

Don't take this the wrong way, but you not talking in your tutorial videos is my preferred kind of Minecraft tutorial videos, and yours happens to be the most informative and useful when it comes to builds people that requested for or didn't. I hope you continue this trend of step-by-step visual instructions because this is what I've subscribed to for a long while now.

Incase the chunk loader isn't working, make sure that the redstone torch in the nether and overworld that is below the dispencer is placed on the netherack that the detector rail is placed above.

This farm is going to be epic on my SMP. The server has a BuildMode (which protects any player placed block in frontier). It is so powerful that you can continue placing scaffolding endlessly, have torches under water, and various other things not possible in pure vanilla.
Obsidian mining is something I 100% avoid cuz of how brutal it is, but I need it for some portal farms.
finally... a GOOD obsidian farm... time to finally do my greatest obsidian base

CORRECTION!!:
If ur having trouble with snowman not hitting wither in 1.20.+ version, ur snow golem is too high on the block that is under him, you need to remove the building block under him a replace it with ENCHANTMENT TABLE, then push the snowman in minecart again and let him chill on enchant table, ur farm should work then, I fixed it like this, hope it helps!

thank you man, farm is great, so great that the wither started attacking me, get out from whatever this is when i let snowman do his job and when i pass though the portal wither started attcking me and i died losing my 500days hardcore world. excellent

so, in 1.20.4 (version i play rn) you have to make chunk loader for 1.20
snow golen must go on slab not a block (so 0.5 lower)

found out that this farm breaks in 1.20, but fixed it by moving the zombie 1 block to the right of the snow golem, and putting the snow golem on soulsand.

thanks bro, I saw a lot of comments suggesting a soul sand or an enchantment table but that didn’t work, your suggestion of moving the zombie fixed it. I’m glad I didn’t waste an hour building this thanks to you
man you know how much u are a life savior ? we took around 15 h cleaning the area and it wasnt working .. and we even used the soulsand and it wasnt working until we moved the zombie 1 block only !!!!!!
now we have both sand duper and obsidian at the same time .. but we will never run them at the same time
To make the farm safer for use:
put the piston for the snow golem on a hopper clock and put the chests further away from the wither so it doesn't escape
