    Ok, I actually was writing down notes for this one because my head feels jumbled today and, in my fashion, I tend to have thoughts about everything.
    First off, you called me out on the first hack - I'm in bed a whole lot. My bed takes up a good 70% of my room (small room, not necessarily a big bed) while the other furniture takes up maybe 15%. If I were to unclutter my room, I would be able to use my desk, but, that still only leaves 15% of the room for use. Point is there's way more space by using my bed as a work area than my desk (and it's way more comfortable). Uncluttering has been on my mind though, so, it can't hurt to do that to improve sleep...
    Onto mirroring, I suppose. I know I've brought this up tons of times before, but, I do typically tend to do this in a smaller degree. I use alter egos (usually based on fictional characters who have admirable traits) to try and mask my weaknesses in social situations (any anxiety I have, if someone has a higher "social energy" than me, all of that). One of my dream goals, funny enough, is to try and become them in a lucid dream (which I have done before, but, lost the dream pretty quickly afterwards). I've never thought of how they would "become" lucid, but, only how I, as them, would be, if that makes sense. All in all, seems like the best hack to use out of all of these (at least for me).
    Last night I did wake up in the middle of the night, and, trying to be a good lucid dreamer, tried WBTB, though, I was having a hard time falling asleep. I've found out that my best time to fall back asleep is

    I have had my reflection in a mirror go "weird and wonky" sometimes in dreams, but other times it has not. So, while I agree that it should not be considered an absolute given, it does seem to happen to me from time to time.
    Speaking of this, I happen to have had a short LD just a few days ago, involving mirrors and distorted reflections. I dreamt I was standing at the sink in the bathroom, looking in the mirror. I wanted to check my haircut from the side, so I picked up a 2-sided hand mirror I have. This mirror has a regular side, and a side that has a slightly warped surface, to give a "fish eye" reflection for close up detail, I guess. I held that mirror up in front of the wall mirror, at an angle to provide me with a side view of my head, but it seemed I had the fish eye side turned toward me. So, I flipped it over for the flat side, and... the reflection was still fish-eye distorted. This made me realize I was dreaming. I tried the finger-through-palm reality test, but it didn't work; my finger wasn't going through. So, I opened my mouth, looked in the mirror, and tried poking my finger through my cheek. It went through! I could see my finger tip poking through into the inside of my mouth. Then, (probably because I have had weird mirror experiences, in turn probably because I have heard that people have such experiences in dreams sometimes), I kept examining my reflection, which mutated into some sort of monstrous version of me, my mouth enlarging and becoming ringed my a bunch of protruding jagged teeth. Not long after watching this transformation for a bit, I woke up.

    Daniel I have this problem. It's been half year since I started Lucid dreaming. I have success with 15 or 16 Lucid dreams. I only had used Dild techniques to lucid dream. So the problem is:
    Whenever I get lucid in a dream, some forces started to act on me. Then my eyes started to shut. If I don't fight against it and let them shut. And,When I open my eyes again. I snap out of the dream. The process is instant. Most of the time I failed but sometimes I manage to fight against it. Is this normal? If it's not then how I stop this?😐
    Your my only hope Daniel. Help me!?!😔

    Hey Daniel, I was wondering if it'd be easier to stick with DILDS in my scenario. I've been practicing for about a year now and induced a handful of very low level lucid dreams through MILD.
    I've recently been experimenting around and wanted to try IMP or Catching the Butterfly technique. Do you think that I would be better off using DILDS until more lucid dreams occur or trying with WILDS? Everyone says that WILDS are noticeably more difficult to achieve. Thanks for reading if you do!

      Staying awake for the hour isn't suggesting that the hour has to be lost, you will aim to regain that hour during the nap that follows, increasing the window for potential REM. With that in mind, and in keeping with the original research, one gets up an hour earlier than one's usual wake time, stays awake for an hour, then returns to bed for a nap. As you can imagine, this limits this approach for weekends/days off.
      For the Love method, I'd recommend a shorter period of wakefulness.

    Do you need to relax while lucid dreaming? And if so whenever you become lucid do you fall out of reality like relive that your failing out in a dream and come back to lucidity if you get what I mean like when you become lucid and fall out of reality while lucid dreaming do do you fall out of reality while lucid dreaming realizing that your falling out of reality.

    How long does it takes to master lucid dreaming? I have been trying lucid dreaming for a month now and have succeeded two times both of those dreams were DILD. I'm also trying hard to get a WILD but no success. Is there any method that can help me get a WILD. Btw should I practice ADA as a beginner

    • @LucidDreamPortal
      @LucidDreamPortal  2 года назад

      There is really no such thing as mastering the subject, as your dreams evolve as you grow. But most people can develop regular lucidity with about 18 months of focused and dedicated training. It does take commitment, but is entirely worth it. And ADA is really not the best approach, try the "Breaking the Circle" technique instead, as it is more realistic and easier to grasp.

    When do you use the dropping technique? Do you use it after 5 hours of sleep or when you go to bed? And when you do use it after 5 hours of sleep do you have to be awake for 1 hour?

    • @LucidDreamPortal
      @LucidDreamPortal  2 года назад

      I would recommend doing it at the tail end of the night, when REM is most likely. So, attempt it during any natural awakenings during the night, or when returning to sleep for a nap in the morning.

    I get the feeling that you have already planned this for the future, but if not, have you considered making a video about the things that make it harder for you to lucid dream? In my personal experience at least, it has been these things:
    -Short attention spans
    -going bed after being way too tired (or going bed too late in general)
    -Being in autopilot more than you need to
    -Not using your dream journal frequently enough
    -Not being used to quietness or directly trying to avoid it (which is when you more easily gain self-awareness. Kind of like when you're waiting in line at a supermarket and suddenly you now notice all the noise around you and make a reality check/can feel your own breathing)

    I have another question so i just discovered lucid dreaming and i want to try two methods in only one night, i mean after 2,5 hrs of sleep i will try Love method and then if i won’t lucid dream i will try to match another rem and use mild method and is this bad for health? I mean doing both of these methods everyday

    • @LucidDreamPortal
      @LucidDreamPortal  2 года назад +1

      Don't do any sleep interruption techniques on a nightly basis, you really should only do them once or twice a week (otherwise you will change your sleep cycle). You will find that you naturally wake up more than you think in a night, so use natural awakenings when they arise.

    7:46 There is a lucid dreaming hack that you've been using for decades and you've had this RUclips channel for almost 5 years that is all about Lucid dreaming with many videos on teaching us how to lucid dream but you decided to never share this hack until now... but why if I may ask? Thank you for sharing it and making this channel, of course, I am a fan of the VR videos that I love watching on my oculus.

    • @LucidDreamPortal
      @LucidDreamPortal  2 года назад +3

      I've been lucid dreaming for 40 years. So yes, there is an awful lot I've yet to share (huge amounts). And as for why, the same reason I've not shared the many other thoughts on this yet, because it's a huge subject that can last a lifetime with many subtleties (oh and because I'm not the standard teenage hack you find on RUclips that just regurgitates the same few ideas that aren't even their own 🤣). When you live and breathe a subject for your entire life, you have a lot to share. 4 years is really nothing. Try condensing 40 years of research and experience into weekly 10 minute videos, and you'll soon understand why. This isn't even the tip of the iceberg (don't forget there are also many centuries of the thoughts and experiences of others to cover also).
      This particular technique is the first small step on a much more complex concept i plan on covering in a future book, as videos can't do some aspects of this subject the depth they require.
      And I'm glad you enjoy the VR, I'll definitely be making more when I can find the time (but they take a fair bit longer to produce).

    Is it possible that some people lucid dream consistently without knowing much about lucid dreaming or without even putting effort into it? I have a few friends who told me they lucid dream almost every night and they don't even try to do it. Do you think they are actually being lucid or do they just have such dreams that they get really convinced are lucid?
