That Uni system has been around for quite a while. I remember as a young kid back in the late 60's, there was a meeting called at our local Oliver dealership (which was also our New Idea dealer) to announce and see some films regarding the Uni System. My dad and I went to the meeting. I remember watching the films and seeing/hearing them call it the "Shellerpickercombinechopper". I'll never forget that. It was certainly a revolutionary idea. Glad you got that unit working well. Occasionally I have to travel from where I live in western PA up interstate 79 and there's a farm or two up that way that have Unisystems sitting around, unused I suppose.
I was wondering when we would see the unisystem, the Allis-Chalmers 426 sounds good in it. Our Gleaner M3 has a fuel pump just like that, our Allis 7060s however have rosamaster pumps.
We have a new idea uni system on our farm I have never seen it used ever since we switched to 30 inch row. It’s an older one than yours. Looks like, my dad would love to sell it. We have the machine itself the picker attachment, the combine attachment and also the corn head and beans/straw head.
You would think the farm companies had a bunch of those broken off fingers in the husking bed. Maybe yours are old so break easier. But instead of welding they need those plastic fingers. Should be a dollar per wheel if produced right..
That's why I had to get a Unipicker. So much demand for ear corn, mostly from hunters, some for people grinding for beef cows, that I couldn't keep up with the 324 pull-type. Also let me finally go from 36 to 30 inch rows like everybody else around here.
I like watching your videos, but it is hard to hear you a lot of the time. Just wondering if it's your camera/microphone & if others are experiencing the same sound issue when watching?

Hey Jacob I enjoy your videos and watch every one of them. Keep that ''old'' equipment going. It gets the job done and doesnt break the bank!
Farming with old equipment and your way of making a video is a winning combination
A nice video to listen to after coming in for the overnight maintenance! Thanks Jacob!
LOVE YOUR VIDEOS HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT DAY KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK YOUR A SMART YOUNG MAN 😊

Enjoyed your video Jacob have a good day.
Interesting combination of combine head plus ear corn processing back end.
How come the head started turning when you started it?
Clutch drags a little and the rest of the machine is well lubricated and free turning.
Good video.
Jacob the combine head will bring in more trash. The picker head will clean that up but you will have more shelling from it
Is that the same corn header that you use for the combine?
It’s a spare on the had that me made work on the new idea
I could use it on the combine.

Do hunters buy ALL of your ear corn?
Not quite all, but a majority

Nice video
The audio levels were going way up and down a lot on this video.
I tried to get that sorted. Just a few more videos before the new camera
👍👌❤️🇨🇦

It's a camera issue. I tried to level out the sound, but it's a struggle. Only a few more videos before the new camera.
