So...will this Arcade still be released and if this is the Final Design what is your opinion on it? Still need to see how the emulation is and more info on the guns themselves to make a final decision in my opinion (for me) but what about you? Let me know below!
I’d like to see only 19 inch+ monitors in all future Arcade1up cabinets. It’s hard to play Buck Hunter on the tiny screen. And with Sinden technology you have to be a certain distance from the screen.
Travis MCP let slip that NAMCO is doing the emulation on this one, so hopefully that won't be an issue. I think the PRICE will honestly determine whether this one sinks or swims.
With the ricing price of these cabinets, I'm only interested in a Time Crisis cab that has all the Time Crisis arcade releases on it (at least 1 2 and 3)
Maybe that will happen down the road with Arcade1Up but the two sequels were running off a different system and need better hardware which is probably why they went with these 4 games - but if their hardware improves we know Arcade1Up loves rehashing titles.
MVC2, Star Wars, plenty have never went on sale. I highly doubt this cab goes on sale especially in a few months after release. I’ve noticed sales are way more rare these days imo
I was just thinking the same thing. I’ve been waiting for Tron and a few others to go on sale so if you really want a cabinet and you’re waiting for that sale, it may never happen. That is why if it’s something I really want I don’t mind spending the money if it’s an afterthought, that’s different, I have bought a few on afterthought and I have also bought many at full price. Let’s be honest even full price really isn’t bad for a full grown adult lol this is one cabinet. I’m gonna order this year. Well I did order the casino cade, so I guess that would be my second cabinet this year.
Yeah its going sale out i wouldn't wait if you have the funds only cause this one and house of the dead most requested cabs on there's forms right now when buck drop sold out in days took 2 years for them restock it at least on there website .
What a difference a kickplate graphic and coindoor does - some folks swear it’s a new design when it fact it’s still the same from the leak months ago, haha. Regardless, it is a lovely machine and looking forward to adding it to the collection - but not at whatever msrp they have.
The look has definitely improved. I do like it. That being said, I’m passing on it. Like you, I play the light gun and driving games via multicades. Hopefully it’s a win for A1up so we get more new titles….and in XL sizes….next year.
Excellent Point made here - if one product is successful even if we don't like it personally it could generate revenue to do something else we may like personally.
Cab looks great Will sell well Time crisis great game Point blank is a grey two player party game I don’t love the other two but added bonus This would be great to get on sale eventually and put all the time crisis games into it
Seriously. How many 17” monitors do they still have? When are they going to let them run out and start putting 19” monitors in all their cabinets going forward?
Wow PDubs! I'm with you on how great this cabinet looks now compared to the original leak so long ago. This is how a cabinet I want to buy should look! However... The games list is extremely paltry. In fact, quite insulting to me personally. I guess we'll have to wait 3 or 4 years for an iteration with 20+ games... Oh wait... This is Arcade1Up we're talking about (and the partners they work with)... Make that 10 years. Let the game trickle begin over the next several future iterations! Value for price for me, in the games category, if they can get this down to $199, then I'm in. Anything more than that and I'll live vicariously through the ones who buy it. I can tell you though, I'm surprised that a 17" screen can give an ok lightgun experience (i.e. my Big Buck Hunter), but it's far from ideal. I find that I can stand no further than around 3 feet before I start to have difficulty playing. And for the Time Crisis cabinet, if one decides to use the pedal, I can't imagine they'll be standing more than 1 or 2 feet from the cabinet depending on how long their stride is, so 17" sounds perfect for that game. The other games however, 19" would've been great, allowing one to stand further away to play. That's why I'm glad Arcade1Up decided to allow ducking with a button on the gun as an alternative to the pedal. Also, I'm hoping one can install this without the pedal. I feel I don't have enough comfortable floor space in my home arcade to have another cabinet with a pedal. And though the pedal in the picture looks like some sort of metal (be cool if it is), I'm thinking it's plastic with a metallic paint. Hopefully I'm wrong. Keeping my fingers crossed for that $199 price point (maybe a sale?) vgv
At least it looks somewhat decent now, that marquee shape tho still wacky. Sinden border default is thick, so that makes it worse, unless it can cycle like in Bato37 (there's a reason the border was not shown). Even the ALU screen feels like that's the bare minimum for light guns. The appeal for me is configuration, multicades no matter how you config or how much plug n play-ish, you still gonna need a keyboard press here and there. If screen replacement goes smooth, then it's on. BuyStuff gaming box can make it a-must have cab... gonna get pricey real quick just to bring it to level. Last thing: Recoil; don't get your hopes up, possibly the faintest setting across all the games, as long it's not a fake recoil like in T2 then it's all good, not a deal-breaker.
Honestly would have expected a Time Crisis focused machine to try to include more than just the one Time Crisis game. Makes the inclusion of the pedal feel under-utilised when only one game uses it.
Hmmm. I have tbe BBH cab. My biggest complaint with it is the gun accuracy. It is pretty bad even after calibration. My son is obsessed with those games, but prefers to play on our Wii because it is much more accurate. Will this new cab use the same gun technology?
@PDubsArcadeLoft I had a chance to buy a real BBH arcade cab from fb marketplace for a reasonable price before I got the arcade1up cab. What a missed opportunity. I was concerned about fitting through by basement door. Oh well.
Question, if this has the same gun technology that requires you to be 15 inches away to shoot, will you be able to use the foot pedal? It seems like this may be an issue.
@@steveblersch even the ridge racer and outrun pedals had a cord long enough you could pull the pedals away a foot or two so I'm confident they'll give a longer cord here.
I do not think this one is one will be in my arcade. I have no love for the games on it. I like the sequels to Time Crisis better because they are two player games. Actually, my favorite light gun games were made by American Laser... Mad Dog McCree for instance...I bought the Pandora light gun set because it has Time Crisis and Area 51. And that will suffice for now. I guess I am just tired of rehashes and not excited by their releases of the past year. The last cab I got from Arcade 1up was Dragon's Lair. It just seems like since then they have moved farther and farther away from the games I want in my arcade. The more they do rehashes, and go toward 90's games, the more they lose me. I want 80's games. But we only get the same ones over and over. As much as I like XL's, I am not rebuying any cabinet that I already have. My arcade is full and I content with what I have. Now if they released an XL Tron with a better joystick... not likely. They do not put in premium controls even in a game like that which needs a good flight joystick. And I know you guys love fighting games... Mortal Combat and Street Fighter... I have O% interest in any fighting game. If you look at their releases from that perspective, it feels a little dry. Arcade 1up really caters to you guys who like your fighters... How many Street Fighters and Mortal Combats have been released over the years? They seem to only think that Pac-Man and Galaga are the only games from the 80's. The Atari cabs have been trash. We cannot get a vertical Centipede, or Tempest. I have 13 arcade 1ups. Trying to sell two of them. It's not that I have given up on the company, they just are not putting out anything I particularly want.
How and WHY would some obscure Swiss site catering only to French and German people get access to this kind of leak? Something doesn't smell right here.
Now it looks like a red banana! 🤣🤣 If it gets cancelled or got cancelled it is probably because 1up doesn't want another Fast N Furious situation. I have a feeling they are using the PS1 port of Time Crisis for the cabinet.
I'm less concerned with the size of the monitor as I am about the height where it sits. From the images it looks like you'll want to be using a stool for more comfort which makes using the foot pedal troublesome.

It’s confusing selling this as two player time crisis when time crisis is a one player game. I understand it’s for the other games but they aren’t well know. I think this missed out on including crisis 2

Can't believe Time Crisis 2 is not included ...the best of the series in my opinion.
Maybe it was a bit too meaty for the hardware.
Yeah, but how can it be done with dual cabinets I wonder though?
Looks great! Personally, I would of prefered Time Crisis 1, 2 & 3 over Steel Gunner 1 & 2. The price point should be $300 or less.
The sliders on the guns better be functional, molding the guns to look like they have them would be a damn shame. Great video 👍🏾
