The story behind Fleetwood Mac is really something. Shows you their resolve to push through and no doubt their pain inspired the best of songs. Christine's "Songbird" was usually played at the end of their shows. So beautiful and perfect, this time it brought me to tears. RIP Christine❤Thanks guys for letting us watch this with you and sharing your personal comments.
Another fine installment. You guys are great in your presentation. The small mention of your own struggles at the end, where the COVID times are referenced, makes me curious and wanting to know more. Life is a mystery that weaves between boredom and elation, with a million stories to be told.
Love your reaction. Man, 99.9% of blokes are not going to call a friend who was b£&ging your wife a great chap. No other band would have stayed together through the emotional snowstorm, with days hours in a studio, let alone recorded one of the best LPs ever. Fantastic reaction ❤️👍🏽👍☘️
Oh! I wanted to tell you guys that people were playing the theme song of The Rockford Files on Twitter bc it was a big anniversary of the show. After just recently watching the Wrecking Crew doc with you & knowing they did a lot of theme songs in that era, I found out Mike Post, of the Wrecking Crew, wrote it! He was in the documentary then he went out on his own & became super successful as a writer, producer etc. Thanks to your channel I made those connections. I absolutely grew up watching that show after school in the late 70s/80s. Thank you for doing these documentaries!
Christine died 2 days before my sister died. I remember listening to this song and an hour later, I got a call that I had to rush back to Tucson to say goodbye to her.
Back in my day, a couple would be on the floor trying to snort or scoop the remains, and another couple would be battering the lad who spilled / dangerous joke.
Ha, the background beat is very much like the BeeGees' 'Jive Talkin'. Funny Lindsey made that kind of disclaimer before he played their track. If you guys haven't reacted to 'Jive Talkin' yet, you definitely should. It's one of my favorite BeeGees' songs, very funky.
Another outstanding presentation from you two guys. Thank you! I would suggest that you take a look at “The Making of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road “, by Elton John, another VH1 Classic Album Presentation. m.ruclips.net/p/PL8oaOmUWjFpA0ZuQLHBtTHddnvxvU_xNv
The Mick Fleetwood comment that Che couldn't quite make out is a slight misquote from the last line of the chorus of the Merle Travis song, 16 Tons, popularised, but never really bettered, by many others. He wrote and recorded it in the '40s. Back in the day, a coalminer had to get everything for himself and his family on credit from the store owned by the mining company, so come payday, he'd find himself in debt to the greedy fuckers. The chorus goes: "You load sixteen tons and what do you get? Another day older and deeper in debt. Saint Peter don't call me 'cause I can't go. I owe my soul to the company store." Travis was quite a guy. Not just a great writer but the originator of a guitar style used by all country and folk players worth their salt, known as Travis Picking. You'll know it when you hear it. Peace and love x
Missing Chris big time on this part. Just got to me. 🥺
Great series. Thx. ✌🏽

That’s awesome. Love when we help people connect the dots.

Living in a house on fire, trying not to fan the flames. And yet, during moments of crisis, I have been at my best. 💜💜💜
I always love watching with you guys. Hello everyone else!!

The Songbirds were Stevie and Lindsey writing to each other "like they knew the score."

Guess yer gonna have to listen to Silver Springs Live The Dance performance.
The store Mick sold his soul to was the Music Business: the record labels, the agents and managers, the audiences, the drug dealers and hangers on.

Some stories would make great movies. The soundtrack on this would be the cherry on top.
Do you think Mick was not with groupies when he was touring and his wife was home with the kids?
